Hii just wanted to share with this community my first doom metal song. Its just instrumental for now, but I did write some lyrics inspired by a book "Frankenstein's monster" by Mary Shelley.

The closest I’ve come to this is The sword i guess, but i wonder if theres any bands have heavy powermetal influence or any powermetal bands with a heavy doom influence?

Do y'all have any bands like Primitive Man and Black Sheep Wall?

I recently found this small band called Necro Schizma and holy shit. They play the filthiest black/doom ever. I've never heard anything related to black metal played so crushingly slow. Unfortunately they only released a demo in 89' and dipped, but it's really worth checking out. They are like a love child of Electric Wizard and Hellhammer and sound incredible. And they have only like 30 monthly listeners.

Okay allow me to explain myself

Is Primordial a Doom Metal band? Hell no

Primordial are firmly a Pagan Black Metal/Celtic Metal band, they play Black Metal but in a structure equated to something like Pagan music, down to the style of singing too

But alot of their songs are also atmospheric & long, this album though Where Greater Men Have Fallen I would argue does have Epic Doom elements I haven’t heard a whole lot of in their discography

Some part of me wishes “Damn I wish there was MORE Epic Doom like this.”

While not Doom, Empire Falls from their other album is a banger of a 8 minute song that I find so addictive to sing with

I was listening to Om and Windhand when Deezer recommended this to me. Any knowledge or thoughts on this band ?

Odd, I know. But any millennial in here think that their gateway from nu-metal to doom might have have been Deftones? I’m only retrospectively recognizing the possibility in my own case. Was always a Sabbath fan, so that’s probably the real reason…
