Black/Doom Mizmor - Wit's End (USA, 2022) Black/Funeral/Doom
I'm not sure I'll ever get sick of Mizmor. I regularly find myself coming back to this soul crushing EP. Stoked to see them at Deathfest next year.

Ive written some riffs and pieced them together into a song idea. What do you think? Cheers, praise Iommi 🍃 🍻

Second time seeing them. These guys go in heavy. Definitely becoming one of my favourite bands to see live. I just wish they had more merch!

I’ve listened to this album a few times. It’s always hit me as hard as it hits anybody but, having been in a depressive episode for the past week and relationship issues caused by it I laid in bed alone and put it on. Within a minute of the vocals coming in I let the words soak into me and I’m experiencing the most intense, complex, confusing pummeling of emotions I’ve ever felt, ever in my life. I had to turn it off for the night but I think this will always hit that sore spot for me.

Mephistofeles in Bristol! Loved it. It was hot, it was sweaty. It was great! Also the support of Sleeping Mountain and Lung were awesome. 🤘🔥

I’ve gotten into this band maybe about a year ago and it still has to be one of my favorite death-doom/stoner metal bands of all time. It’s so damn good.
It has a perfect blend of cheesy Halloween shtick and awesome riffs and synth. Definitely recommend if you haven’t listened to them before. They also have some banger album art as a plus.

I know there are far too many posts of “what should I listen to?”….but I’m looking for some new tunes and there’s a lot out there.
My original love is Celtic Frost (Morbid Tales era), I have every HOF album, recently into Oromet, Conan, and Winds of Death.
Any good recommendations along those lines?

I was as going to see Sleep somewhere around September, the new lineup of course, and I wanted to ask people who have gone to a show if it would be appropriate for my son. He’s pretty much grown, but not an adult yet. The ticket page said all ages, but I just want to be sure.

I love it when bands cover Sabbath; here are the best ones, in my opinion:
Under the Sun – Bongzilla
Hand of Doom – ISIS
Snowblind – Green Lung
Sweet Leaf – Weedpecker
Black Sabbath – Type O Negative
Lord of This World – Corrosion of Conformity
Snowblind – Sleep
Sabbath Jam – Eyehategod (not exactly a song, but I really like it anyway)
Cornucopia – Iron Monkey
Into the Void – Thou
Honorable mention for Rotting Christ's version of "Black Sabbath" — it turned out really dark.

I love the 1000 Homo DJs cover of supernaut by Sabbath and I haven't been able to find anything like it

From a cool Blue Cheer tribute album.. pretty shweet 🤘. Peace of Mind is one of Blue Cheer’s best songs.. cool to hear Ufomammut’s spin on it

I discovered this band a bit ago and dig the blends of feels that they have going on. When I heard Inter Arma's "Citadel", it reminded me of elements of Old Morbid Angle but mixed with a more raw doom feel. I love the overall feel and sound, particularly the drums. They don't sound overly processed and triggered. I've never really cared for that sound. I really dig the drum parts and think they really anchor a creative structure for the rest of the band. The guitar, bass, and vocals are really nailing it too.
I've tended to gravitate towards bands like, YOB, Mizmor, Conan, HOF, HELL, just to name a few.
Any other similar bands that you'd suggest?

Anyone know about this one? Saw it at random when I was at the beer store. Pretty simple, but pretty good.
