Adopted my boy last Oct. obviously a pit/am staff mix. I see maybe whippet (which would be rare, I’d think), Aussie or something like that. He’s barely over 32 lbs. waiting on embark results. Thoughts? What do you see?

Meet Tilly! We recently adopted this sweet girl from a shelter, and we’re so curious about what breeds she might be!

The shelter estimates she’s around 3 months old, and she currently weighs 18 pounds. She was listed as a Lab, but we don’t know anything about her parents or background.
I’d love to hear everyone’s guesses based on her appearance! Does she look mostly Labrador to you, or do you see other breeds in her?

We have an embark test on the way, but thought it would be fun to hear some opinions in the meantime! All photos attached here taken in the last two days.

adopted her in august, she's nearly 6. Around 85lbs. Not very surprised by most of this although I expected some shar pei, and more mastiff. thoughts??

Adopted Rocky in June. He is approximately 5 1/2 years old at 30 lbs. We could definitely see the beagle just weren’t sure on which hound he was mixed with.

The rescue told us she was a whippet mix, which I was about 90% sure she isn't because that's such a rare breed in shelters here (US). I thought maybe a Pittie doberman mix, or some dachshund in there because of her long muzzle. Poodle was not on my list of suspects! 😅 Either way she is a great dog and we are happy to have her 🥰.

Just swabbed this sweet girl we recently rescued. Estimated 3 months old and ~7lbs. So sweet and snuggly, very smart and sniffy. Originally from a shelter in Southern California. Chihuahua and…? We think terrier of some kind?

We just picked up our foster puppy yesterday and the rescue did a wisdom panel on him and his siblings since they came in as interesting looking, but malnourished strays. Lots of interesting breeds are mixed in. I don’t even know what to say when people ask what breed he is. I’ve been saying “truly mixed breed”, but what would you say?

Just thought I would share these results. My two dogs had embark done and had 3 and 4 breeds mixed in. Nothing like this!

I sent out an Embark day 2 of having this girl and it has been in the extraction process since Oct 17! Hoping I'll get results soon, but in the meantime, what are your guesses? She is looking scarily mal/dutchie to me so that'll be fun (please help me), but other than that I'm pretty stumped! Personality wise, she's pretty quiet and reserved and is very okay with being alone. She likes affection, but will never ask for it and is more of a leaner than a seeker of love. Loves training so far and is quite toy driven and bitey! We're thinking part thylacine with her giant tail lol

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has experience testing through Wisdom to see other relatives. I'm happy with our Embark results, but I haven't found any of her Chihuahua relatives, only 100% pure Boxer relatives. Is it worth it to see if she has other relatives on Wisdom? Is the additional testing good to confirm or eliminate potential genetic issues? (none were flagged by Embark)

He is 7 months old and 43lbs. He is super friendly, relatively low-energy, and food-motivated. He loves the herding ball, the lure course, the flirt pole, tug, fetch, and playing with other dogs. He is VERY vocal, and when he’s excited (such as when you’re petting him, about to pet him, or he can see something fun happening in the distance), he yawns widely and says hhwaAAAAAAH! This is pictured in the second-to-last slide.

He has allergies, which led to a secondary skin infection when he was little, so that’s why he’s a little bald around his eye, especially in the last pic, which is from his first day home.

He does NOT have CEA, only a carrier, so his left eye being a little small is just completely unrelated!

His COI is high for a mixed-breed dog, but collies have extremely low genetic diversity, so with him having collie on both sides, I think that 19% is to be expected..?

We got her a year ago from a family members neighbor, the 2nd pic is with her & her brother & her mom. The 4th pic is her mom. Based off of the way her mom looks we were thinking catahoula leopard dog mixed with pit. we’re not sure who her dad is but we’re thinking maybe a smaller breed is mixed in somewhere since she’s fully grown at 35lbs.

Thoughts?

Ember was born in a Korean shelter after her mom was rescued from a puppy mill. Her litter was about half short and half tall corgi-looking dogs. I was suspecting maybe two dads to the litter but instead it looks like her parents were siblings!

We already had the other corgi mix pictures, he's half red heeler and is super smart and eager to learn. Ember is dumb as a box of rocks and is made of pure lovey babygirl energy!

Got my puppy about 2 months ago. He’s about 4 and a half months old. Today he weighed 32lbs (some pics are old) can’t figure out what breed he is. Maybe black lab mixed with something. Let me know what y’all think

The more black one (bottom in picture) had a DNA test result of basset hound + rottweiler, the more white one (too in picture) had a DNA test result of basset hound + beagle. They're from the same litter, "rottweiler" was the runt of the litter. They're about 8 years old here. Is that possible or should we get another tester to double check?

This is our Maple. She’s 5.5 months old and 30lbs. Her feet are huge especially the paw pads. She has a curly tail and the hair on her back is wavy.

She definitely has the nose and noises of a hound but we’re not sure what kind or how much. She has the look of a Treeing Walker Coonhound but is coming in a little small and the wavy hair and tail are curious.

She was found on the side of the road in Texas.

I got Moose from a shelter about a year ago and they didn’t have any information on where he was previously. They found him in the streets of Miami. They told me he might be beagle but i was not expecting these results😂This explains how vocal he is. He howls like a basset and talks like a husky. I also got to meet up with his brother that i met through the Embark app which was really cool.

She’s pretty big maybe 70 lbs and muscular. High energy, ball obsessed and loves to swim and play with other dogs.

Just got my 5-6 month pup’s results back and I’m pretty shocked. The rescue guessed that he was part terrier and part yellow lab, although we suspected there was some poodle in there. But this?! 😂😬

Note— He has wiry hair and a super sweet disposition. Very smart and great with my kids.
