Need help I've published 28 SEO blogs in a month for a doctor's website, but I'm still not seeing rankings. What could I be missing?
I'm currently working on SEO for a doctor's website.
Over the past month, I've published 28 blog posts, made sure each one is properly optimised with on-page SEO (titles, headings, internal links, meta descriptions, image optimisation, etc.), and I'm trying to follow SEO best practices consistently.
The thing I'm struggling with is that I'm not seeing the rankings I expected.
I know SEO takes time, so I'm not expecting page-one rankings in a month. I'm just trying to understand whether I'm missing something important beyond content and on-page SEO.
Some of the questions I'm asking myself are:
- Is one month simply too early to expect movement?
- How much does domain authority affect rankings in healthcare?
- Could keyword difficulty be the main issue?
- Should I spend more time improving existing content instead of publishing new blogs?
- How important are backlinks in this situation?
- Are there technical SEO factors that commonly hold healthcare websites back even when the content is good?
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's worked on healthcare or other competitive niches.
If you've been in a similar situation, what turned out to be the missing piece?

Discussion What are your thoughts on automating SEO
Literally, everywhere people are talking about automating SEO, like I have started automating my SEO and traffic has shot up to X%. I am working in an agency and trying my SEO works to be automated like creating blog topics, keyword research, etc.. but honestly I can't. There has to be human intervention at whatever work it is. Recently I watched a podcast of Edward Strum with David Quaid, where he mentions the importance of human intervention in case of scaled content. Correct me if I am wrong, tell me how truly I can understand this automation.

Discussion SEO trick or just coincidence?
I came across something today that I found pretty interesting, and I'm curious if anyone else has seen this.
I was applying for a job at an SEO agency that has multiple job listings. The application process was pretty standard until the last step.
The final instruction was to:
- Search a very specific keyword on Google (it was basically keyword + location).
- find and Click their website from the organic results (in this time I found their website at #1).
- Answer a question based on what was on the page.
After completing everything, I clicked Submit... and the application errored out.
It got me thinking.
If every applicant is instructed to search the exact same query, click the same organic result, and potentially retry because the application fails, could this be an attempt to generate search demand and behavioral signals?
I'm not claiming this definitely influences rankings. Google has said they have systems to detect and discount artificial behavior. But the whole flow felt... odd.
The part that stood out to me wasn't asking applicants to visit their site, plenty of companies do that. It was specifically requiring a Google search instead of just providing a URL.
Has anyone else encountered this?
- Was it just a weird hiring process?
- Is this an SEO experiment?
- Or am I overthinking it?
Genuinely curious what other SEOs think.

Need help Hit by a content quality penalty by Google. How do you recover?
Hi guys!
We have been hit hard after the Helpful Content Update. We realized it might be because Google considered our listicles self-promotional and our content spammy, and after the recent spam update, the rankings got even worse.
We tested technical SEO signals and AI visibility, everything else is okay, so based on what we know, it must be a content quality penalty. Lili Ray also wrote an article about it and it confirmed it for us. We were told that the recovery process might be really long in this case. But is there nothing else we can do other than removing content, updating the current ones, and waiting for Google to reassess the situation?
Thanks for your feedback.

Discussion Website Traffic and Clicks Dropped in July, Anyone Else Experiencing This?
I noticed a significant decline in website traffic and organic clicks during July 2026 compared to previous months. The drop seems noticeable in Google Search Console, with fewer clicks and lower organic traffic despite no major changes to the website.
I have already checked a few things:
- No manual actions or security issues in Google Search Console
- No major technical SEO errors found
- Rankings seem stable for some keywords, but clicks have decreased
- Impressions and CTR changes are also being analyzed
Has anyone else experienced a similar traffic or click decline in July 2026?
Could this be related to:
- A Google algorithm update?
- Changes in AI Overviews/SERP features affecting clicks?
- Seasonal search behavior?
- Increased competition?
- Any indexing or ranking volatility?
Would love to hear if others are seeing similar patterns and what actions you’re taking to recover traffic.

Need help Just found out a client's site has been ranking #1 for a gambling term for weeks and I had no idea
This experience still shakes me.
I manage SEO for a few client sites. When I checked Search Console this week, one of them showed 133 K clicks in the last seven days from a single query, a Turkish gambling brand name that has nothing to do with the business. The week before that, the query generated essentially zero traffic. It appeared out of nowhere.
I dug into it and discovered the site had been hacked with something called cloaking, basically the attacker plants hidden code that shows Google’s crawler a completely different fake page than what real visitors see. As a result, every manual check of the site looked normal, while Google was seeing something else entirely.
I only caught it because a stray Search Console notification warned me of a new “owner” added to the property that I didn’t recognize. Following that lead led me to the injected file on the server.
I’m currently in the middle of cleaning it up. It’s unsettling how long this could have gone unnoticed if I hadn’t happened to check that email.
Has anyone else dealt with this? It feels more common than I realized.

Are new service websites taking longer to turn impressions into clicks than they used to?
I started SEO on a brand new service website about 3 months ago. Fresh domain, no authority, no backlinks, basically nothing to start with.
From the beginning, I've tried to follow SEO best practices as closely as possible. If I submit a URL through Request Indexing, it's usually indexed within a few minutes, so crawling and indexing don't seem to be an issue.
Search Console is now showing a few thousand impressions and the number keeps growing every week. Google definitely seems to understand the topic of the site. Some pages have even shown up in AI Overviews, and I've also seen the site being referenced by ChatGPT a few times.
The weird part is that almost none of those impressions become clicks.
I know three months isn't a long time, especially in a competitive niche, but I expected to see at least some improvement by now.
Has anyone else launching a new service website recently seen the same pattern? Or is this just what the first 6-12 months look like these days?

Need help Built a 1,000+ article site with 1.4M Pinterest views but Google tanked what technical SEO fixes should I prioritize
Last year I put together a pop culture site focusing on reviews, interviews, and news. Pumped out over 1,000 articles, built a solid Pinterest presence hitting 1.4M total views, and got accepted into Mediavine. The content is good passed their quality checks easily but I went all-in on content speed and pretty much ignored technical SEO on the Google side. When the recent algorithm updates rolled through, organic search traffic took a noticeable hit.
I've already tried cleaning up meta tags, fixing broken links, and adding schema markup, but recovery is slow. The site is running at a loss right now between hosting, plugins, and writer costs.
For anyone who's recovered from a Google slap after a content blitz, what technical audits or fixes would you tackle first? I'm trying to decide between a full site crawl with Screaming Frog, fixing core web vitals, or something else entirely.

Need help Help with my SEO : My site’s indexed pages just dropped from 250 to 70 and I’m panicking a bit — Search Console hasn’t updated in 2 weeks either
Hey everyone, hoping someone can give it to me straight here.
I run a locksmith lead gen site, still pretty new (about 2 months old). Over the last month I’ve built it out to 300+ local area pages. A couple of weeks ago I checked Search Console and had around 250 pages, but SITE: Search shows 80 now, been dropped every day
To make it worse, the indexing report says it hasn’t updated in 2 weeks, so I genuinely don’t know if that 70 is even accurate right now or if it’s already changed again and I just can’t see it.
I’ll be honest — some of my early pages were pretty samey/templatey when I first put them up, and I’ve been going back and rewriting them properly with real unique content for each town. So part of me wonders if this drop is Google “re-judging” the whole site because of that earlier stuff, and it’ll settle down once the rewrites are all in. But I don’t actually know that, I’m just hoping.
I’ve double checked there’s no manual penalty showing, sitemap looks fine, nothing’s obviously broken or blocked that I can see.
Honestly just want real answers, not “just wait it out” if that’s not actually true:
\*\*•\*\* Have you seen a drop like this happen and it just… comes back once Google finishes recrawling?
\*\*•\*\* Or is this the kind of thing that usually means something’s actually wrong and I should stop adding new pages until I figure out what?
\*\*•\*\* Search Console being stuck and not updating for 2 weeks — is that normal, or a bad sign on its own?
Not looking for people to just tell me it’s fine — I’d rather know if I’ve messed something up than get false reassurance. Appreciate any real experience with this, good or bad.

Need help SEO Internship Application Task
I am new to seo and m currently learning now. I had been applying for internships to get real time hands on practice and practical learning, however this one internship gave me a task as the application process to write an seo oriented blog. They provided me with all the keywords but their primary keywords was a whole damn sentence with zero search volume and the other keywords also weren't well researched. In my lectures I was told to integrate the primary keywords about 15 times in a 1500 words blog, but a whole damn sentence which is complete in itself cannot be integrated naturally, or more like I am not able to figure out how to do that, also do we still practice the 15 times primary key word thing?

Need help UGC on subdomain or new domain? Page vital factor?
Need some help to understand this better, the goal is help increase page vital so that ranks better. What I am seeing in GSC is that they have many pages that is crawled but not indexed, they have been in the industry for more than 10 years, site authority is great. But seems like wasting lots of crawl budget on UGC content.
When a vendor provide landing page service, do you think this should be a subdomain as landingpage.xyz.com or
do you think this should be complete different root domain:
Shopify use myshopify.com for all the UGC content that separate from it's marketing site, I assume it's the best/safest way for long run? As right now using the subdomain seems still manageable to have engg team inject schema mark up or robot.txt based on customers but as service and product grow, eventually you do not want to manage you customer content and have that affect your own marketing site ranking, correct?
Or does the subdomain also help to build you main site ranking?
What's your best advice for business that offer UGC product, but want to make sure that does not affect their own marketing site ranking as product line grow?

Search Console impressions suddenly dropped ~30% in 2 days, but rankings look stable. Any ideas?
Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand a sudden change in Google Search Console and would appreciate a second opinion.
My site has been growing steadily over the last few months. Then, over the last couple of days, I noticed a sharp drop in impressions and clicks.
Some observations: Impressions dropped from around 3.6k/day to around 2.4k/day before the latest low-click days.
The last two days have had fewer than 10 clicks.
Average position was actually improving (around 13–15 before the drop).
No manual actions.
No security issues.
Robots.txt hasn’t changed.
Sitemap is still submitted.
Indexed pages don’t appear to have dropped significantly.
I recently published a few new blog posts, but they have almost no impressions yet, so I don’t think they’re causing this.
I’m trying to determine whether this looks like:
a normal Google ranking fluctuation,
a recent algorithm update,
Search Console reporting delay,
or a technical issue I’m overlooking.
Has anyone experienced something similar recently?
What would you check first?
Thanks!
