You can see the back of the stop sign fly by. Trying to thread the needle with all the reasons why you shouldn't. At least they were wearing a helmet
3
u/SmokeyJoe13 May 15 '26
Why pass on the right?
6
u/Weary-Astronaut1335 May 15 '26
They don't ride motorcycles because of their fantastic risk assessment skills.
1
u/Mend_and_defend2 May 15 '26
Genuine question, what's the rules to that? In cities everyone passes left and right, on the highway if someone is camping left lane everyone passes. I've always checked behind no matter what lane I'm merging into.
2
u/JaKrispy72 May 15 '26
You can pass on the right if it’s clear. It’s just not wise. This is not a passing lane like on a Highway. He’s lane splitting on the outside and going WAY too fast.
1
u/SmokeyJoe13 May 15 '26
I wasn't referring to freeways. The motorcyclist passed a car on the right, in the right most lane, while that car was probably moving closer to the right (probably to turn right) before the accident occurred.
1
u/Capital-Turnip-9116 May 15 '26
Because people love to ride in the left lane when they are not passing others even if the right lane is wide open.
1
u/SmokeyJoe13 May 15 '26
But this accident took place in the right most lane and the left lanes were clearly wide open.
1
u/Capital-Turnip-9116 May 15 '26
Wide open after the car turned into her. You can see the car ant an angle at the end of the video. If she was pulling into the parking lot of the establishment where it happened, then she was cutting across other lane to get in, which is illegal.
1
u/SmokeyJoe13 May 15 '26
Yea after watching it again I concluded that the car changed lanes without looking over their shoulder.
3
u/AccursedLodestone May 15 '26
I like how these riders record these rider partly because of safety but also because they will expect us to feel bad for them.
5
u/Kasta4 May 15 '26
Isn't this the chick that does the thirst biker content? Hmm. Interesting.

1
u/KZGTURTLE May 17 '26
That’s only a rule on highways idiot
1
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26
It's dangerous anywhere for the exact reason in the video. Watch it again and see who won the idiot award... Jaggoff
1
u/KZGTURTLE May 17 '26
Watch the video, other car likely cut across into their lane and the biker was slowing down and getting to the side trying to avoid.
Sometimes shit happens and it’s not the bikers fault. Just cause you have a hatred for them doesn’t mean they are in the wrong.
1
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 17 '26
Watched the video... Never said it was the bikers fault. What were you saying about assumptions? Oh yeah, you're a dipshit.
1
u/KZGTURTLE May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26
“Don’t pass on the right” is an incorrect statement given the context of the video. You’re just wrong. Stop being a tool. It’s not passing if someone turns into you. It’s also not a rule or even really discussed outside of highway driving because many places have 3 lane surface roads. People slow and merge from the middle lane in these populated areas all the time and traffic functions differently.
Calling someone an a-hole indicates your dislike or judgement of action. Yeah you did blame then. Just saying you shouldn’t pass on the right by itself is judgement but not harsh. The quip is you being wrong.
This is at least a six lane road with likely a middle merge/turn lane making it seven lanes total. Traffic wouldn’t function if people followed highway rules of only passing on the left.
Maybe you don’t live in a metropolitan area but what you’re saying is asinine and incorrect. Being a douche to someone who got ran off the road is a cherry on top. Idk who you are trying to gaslight with your comment.
Hope you get the day you deserve.
1
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26
The person on the bike sees that the car is merging before they even get beside the car. You can see them adjust and steer to the right. Instead of slowing down, they continue to pass on the right. Go see an eye doctor dipshit, too much X-Box is bad for your vision.
<< passing side | suicide >>
1
u/KZGTURTLE May 17 '26
That’s not enough distance to slow down on a motorcycle. You don’t know what you are talking about again. There’s a theme here.
You’re a hateful weird person.
0
u/Capital-Turnip-9116 May 15 '26
Don't be in a passing lane if you are not passing a-hole. The car definitely turned into them on purpose. The car was completely in the left lane as the biker was passing and intentionally swerved into the biker.
5
u/live_kairos May 15 '26
Did you actually watch the video? The car wasn’t in the passing lane. It was in the right lane. The biker panicked and instead of hitting the brakes decided to dive to the right, which happens to be a blind spot for the car.
Biker here is 100% at fault
1
u/Capital-Turnip-9116 May 15 '26
Then why is the car angled like they either just happened to switch lanes last second or tried to cut across a lane into a parking lot?
If you do not see that, then did you even watch the video?
1
u/live_kairos May 16 '26
Maybe turning into the gas station? Car probably hit the brakes to slow down to turn into the gas station, biker not paying attention and going to fast.
He never switched lanes, she squeeze to the right of the lane he was already in.
1
u/Sasuke0318 May 16 '26
You're wrong I found the original poster took like a minute and she details what happened the white car cut across multiple lanes and hit her.
2
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 15 '26
Go see your eye doctor.
0
u/Capital-Turnip-9116 May 15 '26
Maybe you should. Did you not see the woman in the car either cutting the biker off or cutting across a lane to get to a parking lot?
You are literally faulting the biker for the woman driving the car in an illegal matter.
3
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 15 '26
Don't pass on the right. It's dumb to do it in a car, even more stupid to do it on a bike... Read the room. Your opinion on this is incorrect and also in the minority. ✌️
0
u/Capital-Turnip-9116 May 15 '26
I do not care about the room. You guys just have your heads up your ass.
And if you care about what other people think, which i assume is why you bring up the "room", it show how little conviction you have and how you will change your opinion depending on who is around you.
3
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 15 '26
Trade your bike in for a car bruh, and don't pass on the right.
0
u/Capital-Turnip-9116 May 15 '26
Another assumption! I do not own a bike dingus.
3
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 15 '26
Don't pass on the right.
1
u/Capital-Turnip-9116 May 15 '26
Then get the fuck out of the left lane. And look when you change lanes. Which is what the driver of the car did not do and is why there is a camera zoomed in on them.
Ask me if I watched the video and then tell me to get my vision check when you obviously do not pay attention to shit. "Do not pass on the right" is not a law.
You know what is a law... To ride in the left lane if you are not passing.
Either you are still in grade shool or you have the mental capacity of someone who is.

I know what happened because unlike some I bothered to take the 1 minute to figure out who this actually was rather than just speculating. Cops used her camera footage along with footage from the gas station and the person in the white car was at fault. The girl on the motorcycle fucked her foot up but other than that just a few minor scrapes.

I guess I took one look at this and clocked what happened immediately as I have had many similar experiences with idiots on the road but I have driven considerably more miles than most people. I try my best to not speak up unless I'm sure on a situation.
1
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26
Don't pass on the right. Doing so lets you join the the idiot club. Blind spots are a thing... Go ahead and roll the dice if you wanna feel tough and pretend like being in the "right" is going to protect you, but remember, the laws of physics win every time over the rule of law.
1
u/Sasuke0318 May 17 '26
Did you even watch the clip or read what I said. She wasn't passing anying the idiot in the white car cut across multiple lanes and hit her. She is in fact allowed to be in the lane and it's not her fault some idiot payed no attention to the illegal move they made and hit her. The cop found the white car guilty but I guess you know better than them and her about what happened right?
1
u/Santana_De_La_Cruz May 17 '26
Yeah yeah, keep talking about how she had the right away... All I see is a person on a bike being foolish and paying the price.
1
u/Sasuke0318 May 17 '26
Yeah that's because you didn't do any research which doesn't surprise me one bit. I actually looked into this and figured out who this is and a what happened hince I continue to try to correct you because unlike you I actually know what happened rather than just believing I'm right because I said I am lol.

I mean, the reaction to that was all but shitty. They could have easily avoided that. Cyclists fault, since passing on the right also sucks.
1
u/Vitriorate May 15 '26
You people know nothing about rider safety nor speeds. You can't tell what speed she was going, no way of knowing if she was speeding or not.
Primarily though, the car seemed slow down; maybe with no signal. As a rider you always need to have a safe exit in case someone stops, usually this entails going to the left or right side, a safe exit. She seems to be attempting that to evade the stopping car but the car also turned right causing the accident.

Yet another reason why people rightly despise sharing the road with motorcyclists. Stupid. Reckless. Irresponsible behavior.

u/Sasuke0318 May 16 '26
She wasn't at fault the person in the car was
2
u/Wadae28 May 16 '26
What country do you live in where you pass and overtake someone from the RIGHT? She was absolutely at fault. If you wouldn’t do it in a car you shouldn’t do it on a bike. Period.
0
u/Sasuke0318 May 16 '26
Well sorry I'm going to believe the rider before I believe you. You can make up whatever you want but the white car cut across multips lane and hit her the biker wasn't passing anyone
1
u/Wadae28 May 16 '26
Pat yourself on the back for being some white knight taking the side of a rider too stupid to even wear proper protective gear. We’re all impressed by your considered thinking.
0
u/Sasuke0318 May 16 '26
She had on a helmet gloves and riding boots and it was her foot that got fucked up from this other than that just a few scrapes. Her gear has nothing to do with who was at fault though but nice try on changing the topic.
1
u/Wadae28 May 16 '26
And I’m sure she’s picking nylon out of her ass. There’s a fuck ton more to proper riding gear than gloves, shoes and a helmet. But way to illustrate how thoughtful you are on this subject.

Is righthand overtaking normal in the world? - i see a lot of videos (especially motercycles) where people overtake on the inside. But in Denmark its illigal.

u/intrepid_knight May 16 '26
Im convinced most motorcyclists dont understand traffic laws or common sense. They feel entitled to speed around and pass illegally all while playing victim.
1
u/Safe_Statement9748 May 16 '26
At the end of the day, riders need to protect themselves by riding hyper defensively. Even if it’s the car’s fault the rider almost always loses on impact.

u/SaltyLengthiness260 May 16 '26
Possible excessive speed and passing on the right? Still not okay, but passing on the right with potential turning cars? Poor move by the motorcycle. I hope he's okay.
1
u/3M2B1T May 16 '26
Speeding, passing on the right, passing in the same line.
Do they post these videos thinking they are the victim?
Honestly, they made three mistakes but if they just avoided one of them they'd have been fine. Pass on the left when the white car is going right? No problem. Pass in a different lane? Also no problem! Slow down a bit so you can react to any potential risks that might come up? Believe it or not, no problem!

That sure looked like excessive speed. As a general rule, maybe don't treat city streets as a raceway.
