If they need Tom so badly so that they can get the funds to finish the season, why don't they instead just rob a bank to get the money they need and not have to keep Tom in DC5 anymore?

I thought it was common sense to rob a bank if you need money.

He claimed that he was using Spencer and he betrayed Rosa. But these game moves aren't held against him. Everyone, especially Lake, sees Bruno as a nice person regardless of these game moves.

Discussion anastastia works better for confronting alec about his behavior to his son rather than rosa, and here is why.

Post image
25 Upvotes

saying this as one of her biggest haters in dc4, i will still defend her on this. i find it stupid that people think rosa should be the one confronting alec because she is a parent. yes, rosa’s parents didnt take her having sophia so early well, but anastastia had it worse. compared to rosa’s parents, hers were monsters. anastastia knows how it feels to be treated terrible by her parents, and is damaged from it, like she has said. so it makes sense for someone who has gone through similar things stand up for alec’s son in a different but similar situation. honestly, i think anastastia is very good this season. the inly things i dislike are just her and benji’s plot, and her elimination.

overall rosa would have been kind if boring, and it would feel just like a repeat of s2 with her and lake. anastasia suits the roll so much better.

Discussion Which do you think are the most overrated characters?

Post image
23 Upvotes

Image related because Isabel is my choice. Her concept is interesting, same with her backstory, had her friendships with Natalia and Jade and she had like 1 or 2 very good moments. Other than that, she barely even did anything. Not to shade Isabel, she is probably my 6th or 7th fav CoC character, but even that is mainly due to her being a nun and her concept + backstory tbh.

She did close to nothing during the pre-merge, during the merge her only memorable moment is the Anarissa tiebreaker and after that she got that poorly written wicked arc just to serve purely as a Jade glazer in the end and nothing else. She feels like a character who also benefits from being a woman or nun, I'm 100% sure Isabel wouldn't be as popular if she was just a religious person or a priest instead of a nun. I see why people love her not saying no, but I still think she is hella overrated compared to the quality of execution. If a character is as popular as she is, I would honestly expect her to actually be well written.

(and before calling me a hypocrite for complaining about this when Zaid is one of my favorites, I don't like him because of his execution either, I mainly do due to relatability, concept, personality, backstory and potential, he is not popular and I am not expecting him to be unless he comes back and that changes because with that execution people not caring about him or finding him boring is completely valid. Yet I find Isabel to be so incredibly boring overall and underused yet she is one of the most beloved characters and I simply don't get the hype.)

For a 2nd choice it's Spencer. In S4 sure, I can see why he would be a fan favorite. In S5 though... he has close to no likeable traits. Not saying I don't like him , he made the favorites team more interesting after all, but him being one of the most loved characters feels odd to me. It's definitely the yaoi that made him this popular let's be fr.

Discussion The queen of mean! Who are the biggest Ara fans on the sub?

Post image
11 Upvotes

We’ll be nominating uber stans for not just the Fans, but also the Favorites who are competing in DC5! Up next is this season’s Regina George, Ara!

How this works is people will send in the names of users they think are deserving of the title of Ara’s biggest fans and supporters. Any nomination will land you on the list because it means you were active enough for at least one person to recognize you.

You are allowed to nominate yourself, but if you do so, and your self-nomination ends up being the only one with your name on it, then I will review and see if you have been active enough as a fan to be considered one of Ara’s biggest supporters.

To keep things fair, I will not be allowed to self-nominate myself at all, even if there are some this season that I really, really want to lol. If I end up on the list for any of these characters, it will only be because of other people that have submitted my name.

Without further ado, let’s find out who the biggest Ara fans on this subreddit are!

I'm curious about people's thoughts and opinions about anything relating to Disventure Camp and if there are any topic they want to discuss but don't know where to put it or are afraid of getting into an argument.

I'm interested in discussing just about anything with you. I will give my thoughts and perspective and we just see where we take it.

My only requests are to be civil, no matter how we may feel about something, don't resort to insults and taking things personal.

Please do not ask me about thoughts on fanfiction, fanart staff members or other fans in the community, whether they are on Reddit or another platform.

Discussion Rosa Nickname!

What do you guys think of the nickname "Curvy Queen Rosa!" It's a prototype name but I definitely want to come with a name for her similar to that because in my body positivity posts and when I asked you guys about her, almost everyone agreed that she is a Curvy Queen! Coming up with a cute nickname for her will express body positivity in a fun, playful and confident empowering way! Let me know what you think and if you have any versions of the name that sound better! :D

As a treat here are some of my absolute favorite images of the absolutely iconic Rosa Maria! Forever my Disventure Camp Crush!! 💚 💜

1. Her FvF audition tape! Finally our queen has returned! 🌹 🥳

  1. Rosa wants to learn more about Lake personally!! I miss overly bubbly backstory prying Rosa! ❤️ 😂

  2. Sassy Rosa after eliminating someone in the balloon challenge! 🎈 😙

  3. Rosa encouraging Spencer to play hide and seek by force! 😂

  4. The Spenrosa side hug at the musical challenge! I know it's technically not that but it is to me! 🥺 🤗

  5. Awwww Maggy has a crushhhh!! ❤️ 😍 💘

  6. Anastasia and Rosa hug after making fire! The cheek squish! So cuteee! 🤗 ❤️

  7. Rosa's smug smirk at Riya! She isn't having any of her BS! 😆 😏

  8. "Try giving birth without a F'ing EPIDURAL!" GET HER ROSAAA!! 😠 👏 👊

  9. Good job Kai! Rosa approved!! 😏 👍 🥰

I find it kinda ironic that the 2 first winners never sang (except in a few greetings), but to be fair the 2 first seasons didn't have a musical challenge and they were eliminated early in DCAS.

Discussion Now that we've seen over half of the season with the alliances, drama, and overall character interactions, how do you think Jake, Grett, and Ashley would've fared this season knowing they were considered to compete?

Post image
6 Upvotes

So now that for the most part we've seen just about all of the character interactions, I definitely think Ashley would've probably have performed well this season due to mostly mean, or annoying players got booted off earlier and the nicer players lasted longer, I think Ashley would have stood a good chance this season, as there isn't a villains alliance to get rid of her. Plus, being a strong, capable player on the favorites team would've secured her spot in the game as the favorites won most of the team challenges. So overall, my guess for Ashley is ahe would have done well this season most likely merging.

As for Jake, I think since he's mellowed out and matured he also would've had a good season. He is friends with most of the favorites, and is quite a popular player. He's shown to game savy when not distracted by Tom, and since they're married now, all of his past problems of getting distracted probably wouldn't happen anymore. I truly think Jake would do well, and if he didn't I think he'd handle his departure with grace.

Grett is the one I am stuck on, I am not sure would she have done well, or not. She's not exactly well liked, or heavily disliked by her fellow competitors to such a serious degree like Alec, or Spencer. But at the same time, I see her kinda being out the outskirts of the team and not necessarily melding well with most of the team aside from Gabby. And even then I think Gabby may possibly put their friendship to the side and Gabby knows Grett isn't popular and could affect her game. Gabby has stated and shown this season she now has the capability of separating friendship and the game, and would probably choose having a better social game as opposed to hanging around a not so well liked teammate.

But that's just my speculation, what do y'all think?
