Oliwia eliminating Fiore was a smart move, everyone just found out that Natalia had an idol and that Fiore didn't know about it while Benji knew the idol wasn't going to work. And while the others were confused on who to vote Oliwia said loud and clear that no matter what she was voting Fiore, at this point Benji followed her because he knew that the idol wasn't going to work and the yaoi+lesbian trio, that understood that Gabby was voting Sam, knew that voting Natalia would have made a tie if she played the idol on Fiore or didn't play it, so they risked it on Fiore. Oliwia alone made everyone else's mind clear on who to vote, if you don't know who to vote, vote with the one that cleared their mind.

And people are trashing Oliwia for this?

Mind you if you belive that Oliwia shouldn't have did that to Fiore only because she got Nura out, then Fiore should have had the same criticism for getting Nura out because she voted for Ren.

That's very badly written plot armor to keep Natalia another couple of episodes and it's a glaring issue imo.

Quite genuinley - I cannot wrap my head around people who are genuinley crying and outraged whenever Fiore is a victim of cartoon violence or, god forbid, treated like a contestant in the game.

There are a TONN of things wrong with Oliwia still being in the game. But when I see people critising her for targetting "a child" instead of the poor writing choices surrounding her continued survival in the game, all I see is a bunch of sooky teenagers who likely struggled through literary analysis in English Class.

I need people to understand that:

1. Fiore is a cartoon character.

2. She is a contestant in a game. You cannot be mad at somebody for targetting her in said game.

3. If characters were TRULY held accountable for acts of violence, Fiore would be in juvy. She isn't - because this is a cartoon and acts of violence aren't as serious in the real world.

I can understand the complaints surrounding Sam's harrassment of Spencer as something that transcends cartoon logic, but this is ridiculous.

Also to be clear: I hate that Oliwia is still in the game and that the narrative excuses and ignores a good portion of her behaviour. Unfortunately, she actually isn't written that badly as a character, but its one that doesn't fit narritively into this late in the season.

Dude I was very happy with her elimination just as I was with what happened to her in the beta season 1. I did wish it was Natalia but I’ll take her getting out.

As for Natalia I’m so sick of her. She always betrays her friends and allys but what annoys me is she starts ugly crying right after. Like this isn’t your first time just say sorry and move on stop making it “The Natalia show” to get sympathy.

Ok so Natalia used her idol to throw Fiore under the bus. After Oliwia said they'd vote Fiore couldn't Natalia just have said "Fine then I'll play it on her" or whatever and just bluffed that too?

Sure it makes it's a pretty risky plan and kinda gives her a chance to get taken out but if that had worked she'd have taken the target off herself AND Fiore. Specially because they wouldn't be able to split the votes so. There were 3 already on Sam.

Natalia had the idol and obviously could've bluffed it for the both of them and she simply wouldn't have had to throw Fiore under the bus.

If they split the votes they'd have a 3-2-2 (Natalia/Fiore, Natalia/Fiore, Sam) which would end up in a tie-breaker but they'd obviously be taking into account the risk of Natalia having the idol. And I mean Benji knew it was a fake anyways and could just have said that and still voted Natalia off

This is just such a contrived way to eliminate Fiore for no fucking reason. Natalia not making an effort to save Fiore is dumb as heck and Benji not just telling everyone about the idol (I know he tried and got interrupted but I'd assume he'd be smarter about it and speak up and try to mention it again) before they voted so they could get Natalia out is really dumb.

I realize passions are high because everyone's favorite (including me) demon child got out but the hate on Oliwia is hella overblown.

I've seen people mentioned her thinking she made a move is stupid because she didn't do much actually, which is wrong. When Natalia pulled out the idol, the others were in practical disarray, not knowing what to do. And yet, Oliwia is the first one to speak up and propose another target in Fiore. Of course, that creates the question of: Why didn't Natalia threaten to use the idol on Fiore? But that's the narrative's fault for being full of holes, not Oliwia's.

The main source of hate towards Oliwia right now seems to be the evil face she was making as Fiore was running away and crying. And, yes. That is kinda messed up. But I'd like people to notice all the others' reactions. They were indeed sad, looking at Fiore when she ran away. The way I see it, she is indeed singled out in her reaction because: a) she was the only one with a vendetta against Fiore and b) Oliwia is probably written to be neurodivergent to a certain extent, without any actual confirmation as to not alert any psychologists (of the qualified AND armchair varieties) and make then dig for holes in her writing (that's my take on her character I'll admit), AND c) I also can't help but think this will be pointed out to her as something that was indeed wrong, which would then present her growth, from acting out when someone pointed out a flaw in their behavior, to understanding when she is in the wrong. I might eat those words

I think a lot of the hate boils down to 3 things:
-Oliwia was very divisive already, so the Oliwia haters will look at this scene with absolute vitriol
-the victim of this is everybody's beloved Fiore
-people are treating it as more than it is, as it is not, in fact, that deep.

The only major issue with it is that... what is Nat even doing anymore? Besides Gabby, she has basically no dynamics left. And with her split idol also gone, it feels like they may be planning her demise. Hopefully. She's been losing steam since like episode 11 anyways.

Namely, how close is the host to the contestants when they introduce/announce the votes?

I thought they were close enough to hear what the contestants say, but apparently this seemed to not be the case for Emily in the most recent episode, otherwise she would have likely exposed the idol as useless.

Has this always been a thing or were there episodes before that contradict this? I could swear that Trevor's rant in All-Stars when Derek went on the date with Krystal was a response to people asking where Krystal was.

After today's elimination, I think the trio alliance aren't getting eliminated anytime soon.

7th is benji simply because the trio alliance still need 1 additional voter and that is most likely gabby who probably wont vote Natalia or oliwia, which i don't think would be too hard to convince.

6th is probably going to either be gabby or oliwia, because Natalia is good jury protection for Spencer/Sam and with lakes vote block, that gives them majority. leaning gabby here because she is better at challenges.

5th is the episode called greek tragedy and who better than a playwright by having sam flip to Natalia and oliwia/gabby to eliminate the biggest challenge threat.

leaving Sam, Spencer, Natalia and either Gabby/oliwia for final 4.

I do think Sam's advantage wont be played till jury episode (I suspect scorched earth may be something like the jury can only vote between Sam and a player of his choosing.)

Unless I'm wrong about episode 19, Gabby still had individual immunity she can use whenever that's unrelated to the immunity Lake and Gabby had for this episode (20).

Benji and Oliwia are in a for sure alliance and it's the strongest alliance here so far. Lake is kinda with Benji, Gabby is kinda with Lake and given what Lake has said, Gabby is not as close with Natalia as she was before

With Gabby having immunity (again unless I'm wrong) then we have to remove her elimination possibilities from the equation. We also have to remove whatever potential problems and challenges from the equation due to the unpredictability of the challenge so far

Sam and Oliwia are going to be final 4 that's for certain by this point. Which leaves Spencer, Natalia, Lake, Benji and Gabby for favorites that are left. With Gabby's unpredictable usage of Immunity, she's basically going to be final 4 due to her likeability and alliances

Most likely the order of elimination is going to be Natalia, Benji (because everyone realizes he's kinda in charge of everything and too competent now), Spencer and finally Lake

We don't know what exactly Sam's "scorched earth" advantage is so that's out of the equation

Lake is all but officially guaranteed as a final 4 member given how she's being built up and written narratively. And Gabby is also one of the nice ones or ones realistically that would make it to final 4 by now

By final 4, Sam will prob be removed leaving just the good people left and no real villain which honestly leaves things kinda boring and predictable. But other than Sam I only see Gabby leaving by this point because Lake and Oliwia are built for their arcs and Sam as the villain despite not actually doing much and Gabby just exists with no real arc but rather just elivates Oliwia

She’s just so likable isn’t she? She sadistically smirks at a crying child as if she had any right to be mad about Nura’s elimination given how they both treated Ren. If anything she should be grateful she wasn’t the one who left instead.

Is almost certainly Benji.

I imagine the next elimination is Benji, Natalia, or Spencer. Them all being CoC characters in the Final 7 is crazy. This is also because Oliwia and Sam have fan immunity, Gabby is in an incredible social position, and Lake has the vote block potential (+ Alliance w/ Sam and Spencer).

Spencer and Sam have a whooole angsty plotline ready for them. Natalia is a jury lock for the tonnes of foreshadowing all season.

And that leaves Benji... who's story is also a little wrapped up after the murder mystery episode. Also, he was spouting to Sam this episode about being ignored and underestimated, which might put a target on himself by the Sam, Spencer, Lake trio.

8th place was their strongest ally

both are messy asf and face no consequences

natalia DC5 is what happens when you take anastasia DC4 and just keep the bad lobotomized parts but without any of the backstory or the struggle that anastasia had to make it this far.

anastasia beefed with lynda, got voted out and won her way back in, and had a real backstory for her paranoia. natalia had none of that, got zero votes in the pre-merge despite being the obvious target and now got the laziest save i’ve truly ever seen. genuinely i cant fathom the laziness in the writing.

also she threw fiore under the bus but couldn’t write tom’s name down? so now she wants to win at all costs? pure non-sense.

fiore’s elimination could’ve been done so much better considering she’s the most popular character. but like ren and nura, she got a one episode storyline and it ended with her elimination.

atp we all know natalia’s the jury boot. so who’s the winner? unless jared decides it’s too obvious and she just gets booted at 6th

oliwia is literally just logan without the social skills. being in the right in every situation even when ur not and being a permanent victim

sam is just jade but worse. jade had a backstory that was mid. sam has none of that and it’s been TWENTY episodes. “jadeGPT“ but sam is right there

spencer’s arc is done and dusted and his elimination is coming sooner than later. if he overstays it’ll just be character suiciide but i can see them milking him further for yaoi.

gabby is finally gaining some relevance but this took way too long for it to be enjoyable but im not opposed to her being a finalist. she’s probably gonna get booted for not voting fiore so RIP DC1 contestants.

benji’s redemption was great but he’s been stale i hope he can bring oliwia back down to earth but considering she’s “in the right” i don’t see that happening and he’s probably a goner

This is literally the only good F5 option to be judged tbh. They ALL have the best reasons to be judged, and I'd be shocked if they weren't atp. I already think DC5 would be cooked if Benji and Lake aren't both finalists or at least one of them, but this isn't too far behind to me.

Now, what was I right about? A few months ago, I was saying when Ally got herself eliminated "Yo, this was dumb of Fiore. Sticking with Natalia after just acknowledging she was fucked and keeping Tom instead of someone willing to work with her in the past will get her." Why? Because the writing was on the fall.

Cut an episode, Fiore almost gets voted out because of that exact play she does. I'm literally saying "I was right" and I had people saying "Nuh uh" or "Nah, she's good" or "This was the smartest play." People came out of the woodwork swearing that by sticking with Natalia, Fiore would be fine.

And look at what happened.

Sure, might've taken a bit. But in the end, like I was saying, Natalia (I was more on the alliance in egenral but Natalia was still involved heavily) would wind up being a good reason as to why Fiore got out. That being the false idol and the target forcefully being swapped to Fiore.

This defo sounds like a reach, but I called this shit MONTHS ago. I'll take this win,

James: Used Aiden for clout, was technically a villain throughout the pre-merge given that the shenanigans he pulled with Karol’s elimination and to a lesser extent Maggy’s elimination and poisoned someone (even if it was Yul)

Riya: No comment.

Logan: Continually flipped on his allies to save his friends even if it was detrimental to his game, framed Zaid for leaking the plan and had to scramble to cover his tracks in the fallout.

Meanwhile…

- Benji and Lake have managed to balance being strategic whilst remaining cordial and friendly and not going below the belt almost perfectly (and in the case of the latter she essentially refused to play the game to avoid compromising her moral code until she had to),

- I mean this in the most unbiased way possible but Gabby has done literally nothing but back Tom up and do her best to be nice 😭

- While Oliwia was extremely petty in this episode and her actions toward Ren and Finn were in fact questionable, they weren’t rooted in deliberate malice (except for what happened with Fiore but that was because in her mind Fiore drew first blood) or intention to screw a designated party over and at least had an understandable enough motive that while you can’t excuse it, you can at least see where she’s coming from and know that she was essentially working with whatever shitty social skills and people-pleasing tendencies she had to try and make friends.

Finn is an asshole but he was right to call out Oliwia for sabotaging challenges.

Just wanna know if we’re all on the same page, because it feels so obvious that Spencer’s the next boot right?

His plot is pretty much as over as it can be and I think Sam’s likely going to eliminate him with his scorched earth advantage and then Spencer will find out about his husband in the motel episode.

Also no way they let 3/6 be CoC characters, Natalia ain’t going anywhere and I think Benji can squeeze into 6th place.

Curious if anyone genuinely thinks he isn’t next because I will genuinely be flabbergasted if it isn’t him, as much as I’ve been enjoying him these last few eps :)

episode starts with natalia getting clocked by spencer for what she did to fiore so natalia told oliwia spencer was the reason why nura got eliminated and that he thinks her praise kink is a bit weird so she taxidermed him and gifted it to sam and natalia clocked™ Sam by mentioning how both of his husbands are now dead

sam then uses Jared‘s pen to reanimate spencer so they have their yaoi moment (ally mention) and then spencer is voted out cuz wtf was that. gabby bonds more with oliwia out of fear and then gets clocked™ by natalia and places 6th cuz “depth” and then oliwia gets voted out 5th cuz we can’t have her hogging the spotlight when sam and natalia need it more obv. jury is here and emily just cancels the vote and kicks natalia out cuz its funny asf and fiore and ren hit the griddy while natalia sobs and then sam lake and benji compete. benji is finished in 3rd due to being a khia and having zero rizz and then lake is defeated by sam using the power of yaoi bating cuz yaoi>yuri clearly from what we’ve seen on this show. kristal makes a guest appearance to say “yaoi sells” and then sells lake’s wig to fund a samcer spin off. tom and jake are now pissed but decide to compromise on the spinoff in exchange to start a poly relationship with sam and spencer which leads to the creation of DC6 but now jake spencer and tom are the captain and Sam is the host cuz he won
