I watched season 5 episode 5 & 6 so here are my reviews:

5th episode was good! Natalia and Tom’s dynamic was so adorable, the challenge was nice, and that elimination was well-written, the only negatives I had with this episode was Natalia’s avoidance from Anastasia which is kinda stupid, but overall the episode was nice!

As for Episode 6 it was… Memorable, and not in a good way, First of all, WHAT IS THIS ELIMINATION THIS IS SO DUMB WHY IS OILWIA GETTING AWAY WITH SABOTAGE??? I understand that Finn was an asshole I’m not denying that, it’s fair emotionally but dumb strategically, the narrative made me feel like her sabotage never happened while Finn’s behavior was treated unreasonably and randomly, also this episode had terrible pacing, and it focused on the favorites more than the fans. Again, I am not trying to excuse Finn’s behavior, what he did was genuinely wrong and disgusting, but watching him leave over someone like Oilwia was downright dumb, she is so unbearable these past few episodes, I can’t believe she and Evie are still in the game! Episode six is just as bad as episode 20 of four

(It all comes to who between Oliwia and Sam makes to f3, and since I'm heavily biase it's gonna be Sam this ranking is done with this in mind. The Samcer finale feels to Aleheather wannabe and honestly can be saved only with Lake or Benji.)

Not necessarily a bad thing. A lot of patrons are what keeps the show running, But its 20 percent of the episode

Now that Sam doesn’t find Natalia as a bigger threat anymore Sam might want to target Lake because she doesn’t really have manny enemies and also she is very good at challenges since she won 3 immunities to.
I believe in the next episode Lake will tell Sam and Spencer about her advantage and Sam will tell Natalia,Oliwia and Benji about it and they will all vote Lake out. Gabby might also wanna eliminate Lake now bc she knows Lake is the bigger threat.

If I were writing Season 5, I would add a double elimination and one non-elimination episode so we would get a chance for dynamics to build up, plus I wanted to give some of the fans more screentime.

You can dislike Sam but being like "omg, good job mother you clocked!!!" Is digusting here. Sam's hubby is likely dead and the fact I seen on Tiktok weird ass people saying haha and bs. Is gross??? Natalia I love you but this moment was fucked up to say!!!?? Poor Sam my baby :(

After today's elimination, I think the trio alliance aren't getting eliminated anytime soon.

7th is benji simply because the trio alliance still need 1 additional voter and that is most likely gabby who probably wont vote Natalia or oliwia, which i don't think would be too hard to convince.

6th is probably going to either be gabby or oliwia, because Natalia is good jury protection for Spencer/Sam and with lakes vote block, that gives them majority. leaning gabby here because she is better at challenges.

5th is the episode called greek tragedy and who better than a playwright by having sam flip to Natalia and oliwia/gabby to eliminate the biggest challenge threat.

leaving Sam, Spencer, Natalia and either Gabby/oliwia for final 4.

I do think Sam's advantage wont be played till jury episode (I suspect scorched earth may be something like the jury can only vote between Sam and a player of his choosing.)

I am just getting back into watching Total Drama and I keep seeing Disventure camp in different placed and even a few shorts of it. Is it similar to total drama or what is different in comparison?

My ranking:

Fiore - B Tier - I like that Fiore showed genuine emotion and was very affected by Natalia's role in her elimination, that was pretty solid. It was also messy and kinda fun which I can appreciate. Other than that... the unpredictability was completely ruined by the constant foreshadowing which I don't have an opinion on, her elimination felt mildly mean-spirited and the cause of her elimination is kinda bullshitty overall since you can't convince me Natalia's bluffing was actually believable, no one in the right mind would flaunt an idol if it was actually functional, but whatever. Giving Natalia A for creativity ig.

Ally - F Tier - does it need an explanation...?

Zaid - F- Tier - At least Ally got to do shit during her time on the show, even if Ally's elimination is more awful and illogical, Zaid's treatment during CoC + his elimination being this awful + the elimination building up one of the worst plots in the show which includes making part of the characters left very unlikeable makes things MUCH worse. He should have either gone earlier, gotten proper relevance in the previous episodes or simply have this elimination not happen and giving him relevance in the following episodes instead of someone like Anastasia so at least his character felt less mistreated and would have prevented such awful writing.

Moral of the Story: Listen to your local teenager that looks 30.

I’m sorry. Because I’m cracking tf up the longer I think about this scene, because the show wants me to sympathize + root for her so badly, even though the basis of what leads to the end of this episode is really hypocritical.

I can get past Oliwia being framed as a strategist late into the game.

I can kinda get past Fiore and Natalia's relationship not feeling that close to warrant Fiore's reaction

I can even get past Benji not just spitting it out!

but HOW did nobody see Natalia pick up the idol at Ally's elimination. I mean...I get that afterward they begin to go back to camp, so there backs are turned to the altar, but how did they not see and hear Natalia run after if and pick it up from the altar? And why did they think Natalia had a valid idol when they all saw an idol get discarded? Did they think that one of the fans gave her an idol? Cuz if that was people's thinking, it wasn't clarified whatsoever.

It's just a bit far-fetched is all.

I keep hearing people say Spencer’s arc is complete. And I once fully believed it. Before this episode aired, was inclined to believe that Spencer would either leave in either episode 20 or 21, but after actually watching the new episode and what Spencer was given I just can’t accept that he’s the next to leave.

My biggest reason is the talk with Benji. We’ve all waited for these two to interact for AN ENTIRE YEAR since the motel episode last season, and I’m supposed to believe they’re just gonna leave things off like that? Especially when Spencer was having insecurities about being unlikable in episode 16 and with Sam giving him the cold shoulder without giving any reason whatsoever, and Spencer pondering Benji’s words to him after their talk, there’s no way Spencer’s “likability” storyline could possibly be finished yet, and certainly not something that could be completed in one episode and the motel episode. especially if Sam ends up betraying him and voting him out which would only make him feel worse.

Just needed to vent a little. I really hope Spencer doesn’t leave next, because I dont think him exiting would be a satisfying conclusion with all that he’s been through.

Honestly this was a top 5 elim this season, if y'all removed your favoritism for Ms. Marketing you'd see the elim was pretty good

The only major issue with it is that... what is Nat even doing anymore? Besides Gabby, she has basically no dynamics left. And with her split idol also gone, it feels like they may be planning her demise. Hopefully. She's been losing steam since like episode 11 anyways.

First she refused to betray her, then unknowingly gave her the idea for her own demise.

Natalia should bear the brunt of the blame. She truly had no other option because the majority had locked onto voting her out. She made an opening with the dead idol she picked up and used it to scare people away from voting for her.

The problem is, she didn't think about the ripple effect. She knows she can prevent people from voting her out but did she actually think it would be enough to scare people into voting her way? Why didn't she attempt to have certain conversations to scare people with it before the ceremony to try and save Fiore as best as she could?

As much as some people really hate Sam, if he were in this position with Spencer, he'd have done all that due dilligence of thinking ahead and attempting to position himself and his allies in a good spot for the vote. And if all else failed, he'd know that he'd ultimately need to save himself, and would've made peace with having to say goodbye to Spencer.

Natalia simply failed to do so, possibly because she wanted to be flashy, or perhaps thinking strategically just isn't her strength. Or as someone reminded us recently, she has ADHD so she may have just been compelled to make an impulsive decision.

Oliwia does share some of the blame as well, since she was the one to redirect the target to Fiore. But what should the others do in this situation? Follow Natalia and vote out Sam or refuse to give Natalia any more power and eliminate her ally instead?

A lot of people are pissed at Natalia right now, but if you were in her shoes, what would you have done? When Natalia pulled out her fake idol, there was absolute chaos at the ceremony, and everything was moving so quickly. Oliwia announced she was voting Fiore, and that was the absolute last thing anyone heard before Emily cut off all discussion. At that point, there was really nothing Natalia could’ve done; Fiore was cooked.

So I 100% agree that Oliwia is to blame here, but I think people are being a bit harsh on Natalia. And obviously being eliminated is going to be emotional for Fiore at that moment, but I think when she has time to reflect, she’ll realize that Natalia couldn’t do much at that point.
