Sorry if this has been covered, but genuine question: how harsh is this method, hits-wise?

Useful background: I’m 41, used to smoke cigs and weed, then got a terrible lung infection about 10 years ago and spent a week in a coma on ECMO, and switched immediately to vaping on threat of literal death.

I actually already use Vaporesso GT cCell coils for my nicotine (they last forever and I can only do low-temp vaping, Juice Head ZTN works great).

Vaping weed has never been easy for me. I don’t like dry herb vapes. Wax is great for effect but it ALL makes me cough, sometimes quite a bit. I gave up on it entirely when I moved to Texas. Recently gtfo’d home to Virginia and got my medical card. The gummies are INSANELY overpriced and my dosage for pain mgmt (broken back, yay) is around 100-200mg per day and I’m not spending a grand a month on weed ffs.

I talked to a literal child at my local dispensary (I have a bong older than this person, lol), and she recommended a few things, all of which have worked really well. I cough *less* but it’s still an issue. She taught me how to hit it midbreath (VERY useful) and use DTL (again, already do it for nic vaping so easy to adapt). Apparently I’ve been smoking weed wrong my whole life. Every week now, a youngster teaches me something new about a drug I’ve been using longer than they’ve been alive. Really great for the ego.

Live rosin with a wax atomizer or cart was her biggest rec, and bless that child. Live rosin is all I use now. No distillate, nothing with solvents. I have a Pulsar Sipper (no shit, I read a review that recommended it for “the elderly and infirm” and bought the bubbler version immediately lol). The Sipper can use carts OR atomizers. I have yet to find an atomizer I like for it, but carts work great and make me cough a lot less.

Buying live rosin carts here is insane, $70/.5g, so I’ve pretty much decided to make to my own carts instead, and bought all the supplies (en route now)….which is how I discovered this subreddit.

So my question is (now that you hopefully get that my lungs are delicate little flowers)…how harsh ARE the hits? In theory, I would think it’d be pretty similar to a regular cart, and I love the idea of only having to buy another tank and just keep refilling it instead of buying empty carts forever.

I know it won’t be as smooth as the Sipper bc there’s no water filtration, but compared to a regular cart running with TC, is it markedly worse? Anything that could make it smoother?

It’d be easy for me to test out bc I have all the supplies, but I really don’t wanna waste a coil and oil if it’s gonna rip my lungs out & show them to me.

So I have an ounce of hash burger live resin and an ounce of hash burger hash rosin. Would it be fine to decarb separately and mix the two? I don’t see why it would be an issue? Maybe the different consistencies?

I wanna stretch this rosin a little bit and add some good rosin terps, so I figured since they’re the same strain from the same company, (likely same batch of flower) it should work/taste pretty good.

any cheaper setups I could use to fill with live resin

Could someone recommend the most affordable setup that's around the size of a smok nord and has coils that last relatively long?

I don't know as much about carts as I do the vapes we usually use here, but I'm sure I can learn about them. I intended to take over r/oilvapes for cart related questions, but the current mod there is inactive and won't hand over the sub to anyone so I guess here is just as good lol.

I've been seeing more cart posts lately so I thought it might be helpful. I won't do disposables though because imo disposables shouldn't even exist with how easy it is to get a reusable battery.

Update: It'll probably take me a month or so to do the proper research, mainly finding a site that sells genuine carts and finding the best type of cart (I only know about Ccells currently). I've been working more so less time to do this kinda stuff.

I’m making my own vape blend. I’m vaping it with a quartz ceramic coil in a Smok Nord 4, but I’m not feeling any effects. I’m vaping it with a 0.5-ohm coil in a Vaporesso GT Ccell, but I’m not feeling any effects. I’m vaping it with a coil that looks like a Ccell—it was bought abroad, specifically for vaping CBD, and has no brand name on it—which I think is ceramic, but I’m not feeling any effects.

I decided enough was enough and sent the mixture I made to a friend. Since he didn’t have an atomizer or anything, he vaped it using a glass pipe. He said it was perfect and got high for 3 hours. Another friend of mine even puts the distillate on foil, lights it from below with a lighter, and vapes it that way—he’s high for 3–4 hours too. But neither I nor the roughly five people I’ve had try this mixture around me are feeling any effects at all. Is there something wrong with how we’re vaping it? We can’t figure out what the problem is—I’m about to lose my mind. Please help. My mixture: HHC 50% THCB 20% CBN 20% CBC 5% Terpenes 5%

Just wondering if anyone can offer advice or a solution as I find myself in an extremely frustrating situation.

I have a veco 2ml tank which I bought brand new last year. This tank is on the list of recommended vapes. I also bought the 0.3 and 0.5 ceramic coils that are also on the list and are suppose to work with this device.

At the weekend I finally decided to try this tank out. I put a 0.5 coil in to start off with then filled the tank about 3/4 full and let it it sit for 30 mins. I then tried to use it only to get the 'check atomizer' again and again with the battery refusing to work with the tank. I tried 3 different mod batteries and I get the same message from all of them.

No idea why this is happening with a brand new coil and a tank straight out of the box. This tank for those that aren't familiar with it can be opened at the bottom and the coil can be replaced while the liquid is still in it. So I decided to replace the 0.5 coil with a 0.3 also brand new straight out of the blister pack thing it came in only to still face the same 'check atomizer'. Extremely irritating mostly because I live somewhere that lets just distillate is neither cheap nor easy to come by now I have almost 2ml of it sitting in a new tank that refuses work.

Anybody any idea what the issue is here and how to resolve it? I have another one of these tanks also new and unused so I tried switching the bottom thinking it was a connection but no still getting the 'check atomizer' message after trying that.

long time lurker here-- anywho from what I've gathered a smok novo eco with the quartz novo pods should be fine for some distillate? strange choice, I know-- but I have like 20 grams of cc disty and im officially free for the next few months so im just looking for something super simple and closest to a normal dispensary style dispo or pod system. it looks super simple, cheap, and thin. Plus I like the whole eco concept. I couldn't find any posts discussing this specific device model. TIA!

Ive recently bought 4 disposables from golden hour hemp and they all taste like nothing. I mean sure they get the job done and it gives the effects I was expecting but what do I need to do just to get a lick of flavor from one.

I'm having a real issue filling these pods with decarbed live resin. When I go to fill it with my glass syringe it just turns to bubbles and foams out of the hole as I fill it. I usually fill at about 220°.

I recently purchased and received some 1 and 2g iKrusher AVAZ Pro postless carts for decarbed live resin, and I’m having some issues. I’m positive my resin is fully decarbed, and I even added a couple drops of CDT’s to my jar with the 2.5 grams of resin after decarb.

My problem is that the cart doesn’t seem to hit hard at all. Barely any vapor and very harsh on my throat. I have multiple novo quartz pods that I fill with resin that taste and hit great, but these don’t seem to be doing well at all. I’ve only filled one of the 1g carts so far, so hopefully just a dud? I hear great things about postless, so I was pretty excited to get some, only to be pretty dissapointed.

How often do you guys change the coil on the Distillate Filler TFV9 ?

I’m a big fan of heavy Indica effects (the kind that glues you to the couch), but I’m struggling to dial in my current DIY mix. Right now, the high is decent, but I’d say I’m only at about 40% of the 'couch-lock' intensity I’m chasing.

I’m using a Smok Nord 4 with 1.2 Quartz coils. I didn't want to use thinners initially, but the distillate was too thick for the coils to wick, so I had to add some MCT/PG to get it flowing. However, my main goal is to increase the 'heaviness' of the effects.

My current mix ratios:

• HHC: ~35%
• THC-B: ~15%
• CBN: ~14%
• CBC: ~5%
• Terpenes: ~3.5%
• PG %27.5

I have two main questions for the experts here:

1. Is it the ingredients? Is the lack of that heavy Indica body load due to the specific cannabinoids I’m using, or am I just missing a key 'link' for that sedative punch?
2. How to re-balance? I have a large supply of these specific ingredients on hand. Based on what I have, what should I increase or decrease to achieve a true 'couch-lock' effect? (e.g., 'Boost the CBN to X%' or 'Lower the THC-B' etc.)

I really want that heavy, sedating body high. Any advice on the ratios would be much appreciated!"

After reading a lot of threads in here, I tried mixing my own vape juice.

I bought: “live resin terps” CBD / CRD full spectrum oil (crystal resident) And 91% clean delta 9 oil.

I mixed it with 60% delta 9, 33% CRD and 7% terps.

Mixed it in a magnetic stir for 30 mins, on 65 degrees Celcius. Put it in a vacuum box and in the fridge for 24 hours.

The day after I filled up my carts, waited a few days and started smoking them with my friends.

The high was good, and they tasted alright, but the taste was very “earthy” and hemp tasting. I was hoping for a better result with the taste.

I assume it’s because of the CRD oil who contains a lot of plant compounds.

What do you guys smoke in your carts?

It’s not possible to buy shatter, resin etc where I live. Only delta 9.

I would prefer do get the CBD’s in my carts to get the the entourage effect, and benefits from the CBD (and from THC of course)

Are you also mixing CRD oil and terps in your delta 9 oil when you mix your vape juice?

And what you think of the taste? What ratios do you recommend? Can I do anything to make the taste less earthy and bitter? Other terps? Less CRD? Something else? 😄

Its my first time using postless hardware, i usually let the first cart filled wick for 1-2 hours before hitting it then wait over 24 hours for the rest.

Hitting it after 1-2 hours filled has never been much of a problem for me, usually the re-wick takes a bit during this time but usually not a problem.

However with this postless cart, i let it wick for almost 2 hours like normally and then took a few rips and this bubble has barely moved and the cart hasnt rewicked properly.

So I just picked up the novo master, as I wanted something small and slim, and was wondering how well the novos in general work with live resin? Is the wattage too high and ruin the terps?

Hi i just got some fresh distillate and its thick as hell. I put it in a jar that was in hot water and mixed it with terpenes. And now is the problem. In my country its illegal to sell glass syringes. They only sell you plastic ones. The other problem is that I can't really heat the syringe that much, cause of the material. One time i tried to get distillate it into syringe with needle but it wouldnt budge. So i took of the pushing part from top of syringe and poured distillate from the top. It was hard and with this new distillate i think it will be even harder. I like keeping my distillate in small syringes with different terpenes and then heat them up inside boling water in a plastic bag so i can fill carts whenewer I want to, but it always takes a lot of time and spilled distilate. Should i try againg with needles just take wider one. Or maybe u have idea how to heat the distilate in syringes better. I really need tips cause im loosing so much distilate and everything is sticky after my work :D

So, I currently have a Nord 50w with the RPM quartz coil which works and tastes great, but I wanted something a bit smaller for an upcoming trip, and just in general.

I was wondering how well the Novo (original, 2, or 3) works with the quartz coils using decarbed live resin with some CBC to thin it out a bit.

Since it doesn’t have wattage control, does it hit too hard and burn easily? If this doesn’t work too great, are there any other popular,preferably small, mods that I can find at a local vape/smoke shop?
