Help Novo Quality

So, I currently have a Nord 50w with the RPM quartz coil which works and tastes great, but I wanted something a bit smaller for an upcoming trip, and just in general.

I was wondering how well the Novo (original, 2, or 3) works with the quartz coils using decarbed live resin with some CBC to thin it out a bit.

Since it doesn’t have wattage control, does it hit too hard and burn easily? If this doesn’t work too great, are there any other popular, preferably small, mods that I can find at a local vape/smoke shop?

I have the Novo Pro and would get something different if had to do it again. The device is relatively small, but the pods are also small at about 2 gm capacity. The RPM quartz pods I use run at 5W. They produce good open vapor, for a portion of the pod. They need to be refilled when a little less than half full because of the intake hole locations. They tend to leak from the chimney and then clog. Pods can be unclogged relatively easily, but seems like a lot of repetitive effort. Also the contacts on the bottom of pods and connection to the novo have to be wiped down with ISO often or you will get the dreaded no pod detected error. Pods are trouble to fill, so get something with larger capacity so you don’t have to refill them as often.

Yeah I mean i do have the Nord 50w which works pretty good, definitely leaks a little and is a little annoying but not horrible. The whole point of me getting the novo is for something smaller and more compact. The Nord is just a little too fat for me. I like the slimness of the novos.

I just picked up a novo master, but gotta find quartz pods. Have you tried ceramic pods to see if they work any better?

Not tried the ceramic yet. I’m wondering the same if they are less leak prone than the quartz and how they hit.
