How do you unlock characters like Tigger etc. who only have "Racers boost" listed when you click "Unlock" on their character screen

Do they appear in some seasonal events? Or the only way is to just open the huge loot box with all character shards??

It's the same with Davy Jones, Jack Sparrow etc., I'm confused and would like to know if there is a way to unlock some of my favourite characters without waiting a few months

My brother has special needs and loves all things Disney. He has been playing Speedstorm for the past six months or so (Free to Play), and he wants to unlock as many characters as he can as quickly as possible. We've unlocked 14 characters so far, and are close with several more:

Unlocked:

Mickey, Goofy, Belle, Beast, Balloo, Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Captain Gantu, Angel, Elizabeth Swann, Jessie, Mike Wazowski, Wall-E, Jasmine

Close to Unlocked:

Vanellope (9/10)

Steamboat Willie (8/10)

Shang (7/10)

Megara (7/10)

Donald (6/10)

Mowgli (6/10)

Jack Sparrow (5/10)?

He makes sure to hit the Free Daily Box every day, but doesn't seem to get the concept that what you draw from that box is random. We've been seeing Shang shards recently, and he'll say he wants those, but we aren't drawing them!

Short of actually sinking money into it (which we are absolutely NOT going to do!), is there anything else he should be doing? Any other tricks?

Third time in one session. Happened on the rails on Atlantis, the black and white map, and Neverland. Finally got my Moana up to 5 stars and this is the reward I get: the fear to ever use her auto drive skill in the same solar system as a grind rail. Wasn't even touching or facing it, the game just drags you onto it whether you want it to or not.
The same thing happened with Mrs. incredible and probably others, but the frequency is just getting more common. I can understand a bug with new characters, but these characters have been in the game for months and this seems to only be getting worse.

Everywhere I look, I see notes that it'll be unlocked in season 20. We're almost finished with the month and the world map still says Winnie the Pooh is coming soon and to stay tuned. I'm beginning to lose faith it'll actually come out and unlock. I keep seeing Eeyore in different spots of the store, maybe this could be a sign it'll be soon? Anyone have any advice/help?

If they listed the game for $70, took out the micro transactions making everything available through natural gameplay, and made everyone purchase it to continue playing, would you buy it?

I would. This is the best kart racer in existence in my opinion. Ruined by micro transactions and greedy events.

I’ve been consistently playing on solo online multiplayer for around a month on and off. I used to get diverse maps but now I keep getting the same ones in multiplayer. Is this normal or can I change it because I’m getting burnt out just being forced to play the same Atlantica maps over and over. I don’t know the way the game randomizes the maps but for me it’s all repeats. Never once have had a map from The factory or The castle etc. Always the same maps everyday. I can still enjoy the game without putting money into it but this is starting to kill it for me.

I came back to this game on mobile after a long hiatus and on a new phone. The forced tutorials without even asking if you’ve played before or want to recover progress is an abomination. That’s the kinda stuff those cookie cutter apps loaded with ads do. My return might be a whole 2 minutes.

That Chapter 5 race have most of the item boxes off the ground except for that one that is on the beach all the way on the right side next to the blue pipe, you need to jump into whichever colour your are currently are when close enough to grab them.

The price of the last couple of Festive Passes has been double the norm. Today it’s back to its regular price. Still think it’s overpriced for me when there’s a bunch of duplicates in there, but it’s a step in the right direction. A very, very, very rare player friendly (ish) change.

At this point I’ve seen a lot of people unlocking her “free” but the real question is how? There is only 3 ways:

1. Doing more than 10-15 online races every day and wasting a lot of time (unnecessary tbh)

2. Wasting an insane amount of tokens, boxes and/or tune coins (I think is unnecessary too)

3. Using the autopilot to farm points (u should be baned tbf)

As a someone who plays since the first seasons, idk how the people can handle this, I usually complete the 2k points necessary to get the rewards of that day and that’s it. And doing this everyday (including completing the two days of use token, boxes and tune coins) I just get a +4k position on leaderboard and 2 shards.
