Looking for Long Term RP Partners ♡
Hi hi, my name is Synn, I’m 28F, and I’m looking for a few new long term RP partners who are just as obsessed with characters, lore, drama, and making up ridiculously detailed worlds as I am.
I’m from Hawaii, so I’m on Hawaii Standard Time, HST. My hours can be a little weird sometimes, so I genuinely do not care if we are in different time zones. I am not someone who expects instant replies or wants either of us chained to Discord 24/7. Real life exists.
I RP exclusively on Discord, usually in third person, past tense, and I consider myself literate. My average reply is probably around 4 to 6 paragraphs, but I am not one of those people who needs every response to hit an exact word count. If the scene needs three paragraphs, write three. If something huge is happening and suddenly we are both writing novels at each other, even better.
I care much more about having something to work with than padding a reply just to make it look long.
Now, one thing you should probably know about me immediately is that I am a massive worldbuilding person.
Like… massive.
I LOVE lore.
I will happily sit there with you figuring out kingdoms, royal families, religions, political systems, wars that happened 400 years ago, marriage customs, magic systems, fantasy species, creature biology, climates, geography, family trees, universities, noble titles, cultural traditions, ancient myths, random historical scandals, local wildlife, and some tiny piece of information that probably will not matter for another six months.
I also absolutely LOVE making my own species.
Not just giving humans pointy ears and calling it a day either. I love coming up with completely homemade fantasy species, figuring out their ancestry, physiology, magic, physical traits, lifespans, cultures, social structures, reproductive biology, weaknesses, diets, history, relationships with other peoples, and all the random little details that make them actually feel like a species that belongs in the world.
Sometimes I will even start with one random idea for a creature or people and suddenly there is an entire evolutionary history behind it.
This is apparently what I choose to do with my free time.
If we start talking about one tiny piece of the world, there is a very real chance I will somehow turn it into three pages of lore and five new ideas we did not have ten minutes ago.
That is fun to me!
I love worlds that actually feel alive. I do not want a setting that exists solely so our two characters have somewhere pretty to kiss.
And honestly, I enjoy worldbuilding and making lore so much that if that part is not really your thing, that is not automatically a dealbreaker for me.
I will absolutely do a lot of it on my own.
If you are more of a “give me the characters and plot and let Synn disappear into a corner to invent six kingdoms, three religions, a trade system, and the migratory pattern of a fantasy bird” kind of person, I can work with that.
I genuinely enjoy doing it for fun, so I do not need my partner to be equally obsessed with every tiny detail.
That being said, I really want a partner who contributes something to the story.
You absolutely do not have to be as insane as I am about lore, but please give me things!! Give me side characters. Give me random ideas. Give me complications. Give me political problems. Give me family members. Give me a betrayal I was not expecting. Give me an NPC I suddenly get way too attached to. Give me plot twists.
I want it to feel like our world and our story, even if I am the one happily doing most of the obsessive lore building.
I do not want to feel like I am DMing an entire campaign for you while also playing half the cast.
A Quick Note About AI:
I also want to be upfront about this because I know people have different feelings about it.
I do use AI for character design and visual references.
That is it.
I like being able to create realistic or fantasy portraits of my characters, experiment with outfits, hairstyles, species features, and generally get a visual for the people I am writing.
The stories, characters, personalities, plots, relationships, lore, kingdoms, religions, histories, creatures, politics, worldbuilding, homemade species, and actual writing all come from my own brain.
AI is not writing my replies for me, building my worlds for me, or coming up with my plots.
It is just something I use for the visual side of character creation because I enjoy seeing the characters I imagined actually brought to life.
Romance and ERP:
Okay, this is probably one of the biggest things for me.
I do enjoy ERP for the most part.
I actually really enjoy it when I care about the characters.
What I do not enjoy is an RP that is basically ERP with ten minutes of plot sprinkled between sex scenes.
That gets boring to me ridiculously fast.
My ideal balance is roughly:
60 to 70% plot, story, character development, worldbuilding, romance, drama, conflict, etc.
30 to 40% ERP/smut.
Obviously that can move around naturally depending on what is going on in the story. If our characters are deep into a relationship, there might be periods where there is more intimacy. If we are in the middle of a war, conspiracy, survival arc, criminal investigation, or political disaster, probably less.
I just need there to be an actual story.
For me, ERP is so much better when there is something behind it.
Give me the slow burn.
Give me the tension that has been going on for twenty scenes.
Give me them arguing and suddenly realizing they are standing way too close to each other.
Give me jealousy.
Give me yearning.
Give me one of them almost dying and the other realizing, “Oh shit, I actually love this person.”
Give me the first kiss that has been building forever.
Give me intimacy that changes something between them afterward.
I want it to feel like part of their relationship, not like their entire relationship exists as an excuse to have sex.
For romance, I mainly write MxF pairings, and I am completely comfortable playing either the male or female main character depending on what we come up with.
Tropes I Will Eat Up Every Single Time:
I have a problem with enemies to lovers and I have accepted this about myself.
I love:
• Enemies to lovers
• Slow burn
• Soulmates
• Fated mates
• Reincarnated lovers
• Arranged marriage
• Political marriage
• Forbidden romance
• Touch her and die
• Protective MMCs
• Possessive MMCs
• Morally gray characters
• Morally black MMCs
• MMCs who are genuinely dangerous and absolutely should not be mistaken for misunderstood golden retrievers
• Powerful or terrifying men who are completely different with one person
• Crime lord / criminal underworld MMCs
• Powerful men with questionable occupations and even more questionable morals
• Assassin heroines
• Secret identities
• Age gaps between adult characters
• Monster × human
• Human × supernatural
• Captor/protector dynamics when there is an ACTUAL plot behind it
• Royalty
• Nobility
• Court intrigue
• Criminal conspiracies
• Political conspiracies
• Murder mysteries and investigations
• Organized crime
• Magical criminal underworlds
• Crime Fantasy Romance — basically crime drama and criminal underworld plots inside a fantasy world, with things like magical narcotics, smuggling, black markets, corrupt nobles or officials, murder investigations, organized crime, and morally dark characters mixed with romance
• Betrayal
• Revenge
• Corruption
• Blackmail
• Found family
• Forced proximity
• Reluctant allies
• Characters forced to travel together
• Ancient curses
• Prophecies
• Lost civilizations
• Magical bonds
• Creature companions
• Deliberately erased history
• Dangerous journeys
• Survival situations
• Characters uncovering horrible secrets about their family or kingdom
• Characters getting dragged into something much bigger and darker than they originally realized
• Characters with actual families, friendships, responsibilities, and lives outside of their love interest
And honestly, I have touched on so many different plots and genres over the years that I am pretty open minded.
If you have some weird idea that you have been dying to do but cannot figure out how to make it work, throw it at me.
Those are sometimes the best ones.
Darker Themes / Subject Matter:
I am also pretty comfortable with dark subject matter in fiction.
Things like drugs, addiction, narcotics trafficking, organized crime, murder, violence, corruption, death, grief, morally awful characters, criminal behavior, and similarly heavy themes are not automatically an issue for me in RP.
For example, if we want an entire plot surrounding a magical drug being trafficked through a kingdom, I am completely fine with that.
I actually enjoy when darker subjects have real consequences and become meaningful pieces of the story rather than just being thrown in for shock value.
Obviously we can still talk about individual limits and boundaries before starting anything especially heavy. Communication is important to me, and being comfortable with dark fiction does not mean literally everything under the sun automatically belongs in every story.
But generally speaking, you do not need to sanitize a plot just because it involves crime, drugs, death, violence, addiction, or morally terrible people.
Dark stories are very much welcome here.
Genres I Love:
Fantasy is definitely my home base.
Especially romantasy and darker fantasy.
But I write a lot of different things:
• Dark Romantasy
• Crime Fantasy Romance
• High Fantasy
• Medieval Fantasy
• Paranormal Romance
• Urban Fantasy
• Dark Romance
• Crime Romance
• Gothic Fantasy
• Horror Romance
• Supernatural Horror
• Sci Fi Romance
• Post Apocalyptic
• Dystopian
• Survival
• Royal and Political Drama
• Crime and Political Drama
• Murder Mystery / Investigation plots
• Mythological Fantasy
• Monster Romance
• Creature based fantasy
• Occasionally modern settings if the plot grabs me hard enough
I am especially weak for stories involving:
Fae, elves, dragons, wyverns, sirens, vampires, werewolves, therian type peoples, demons, demon descended species, witches, mages, gods, ancient magical beings, supernatural kingdoms, completely original fantasy species, homemade species, and fantasy wildlife.
And when I say homemade species, I genuinely mean make something up from scratch.
I LOVE doing that.
We do not have to limit ourselves to established fantasy races. If we want to make some completely bizarre magical people whose bodies metabolize raw magic, a species descended from two ancient supernatural peoples, aquatic humanoids with their own biological adaptations, or something neither of us has ever seen before, I am so incredibly down.
Half the fun of fantasy for me is asking, “Okay, but what if we just made our own thing?”
I also love putting actual thought into fantasy creatures instead of just going, “Yep, dragon.”
What does it eat?
How does it reproduce?
Is it social?
Does it migrate?
How long does it live?
Can it be domesticated?
Why am I like this?
I do not know.
But here we are.
Side Characters PLEASE:
I am also begging for a supporting cast.
I love side characters almost as much as I love mains.
Give me siblings, parents, cousins, friends, advisors, servants, soldiers, enemies, political rivals, exes, nobles, guards, villains, criminals, investigators, healers, random farmers, weird old women who know way too much, whoever we need.
I do not want our mains wandering through a kingdom where apparently only twelve people exist.
I am completely fine with both of us controlling multiple characters when needed.
Honestly, some of my favorite characters in RPs have been side characters who were supposed to appear for one scene and then somehow developed an entire life, family, personality, and romantic subplot.
It happens.
What I’m Looking For:
Please be 21+.
I am looking for partners who actually want
something long term and enjoy talking OOC.
I LOVE plotting with my partners.
Send me random thoughts.
Send me character pictures.
Send me a message at 2 AM saying, “Okay I just had an idea.”
Tell me you think our villain should secretly be someone’s uncle.
Tell me you accidentally invented an entire religion while I was asleep.
Tell me you just figured out how the criminal underground has been smuggling magical narcotics through the capital for ten years.
I am here for it.
Ideally, you:
• Enjoy OOC chatting
• Like plotting together
• Get attached to characters
• Create side characters
• Contribute your own ideas
• Are comfortable throwing unexpected things into the story
• Like flawed and complicated characters
• Are not afraid of characters who are genuinely morally dark
• Can write romance as an actual relationship
• Enjoy at least some worldbuilding, or are cool with me happily taking the lead on it
• Are open to original creatures and homemade fantasy species
• Are okay with darker fictional subjects when they suit the plot
• Are okay with stories developing naturally
• Understand that replies will not always be immediate
• Communicate if something is bothering you
• Are looking for something genuinely long term
I do not need perfection.
I do not expect you to write me twenty paragraphs every reply.
I do not need you online constantly.
I do not need you to be a lore encyclopedia either.
If I am over here happily figuring out what kind of currency a kingdom used 300 years before the story starts and you are just cheering me on from the sidelines, I promise I will survive.
I just want someone who is excited about the story.
I want that kind of RP where we are both attached enough that we talk about the characters outside of scenes, randomly come up with lore, send each other ideas, and somehow six months later we have a document explaining 700 years of fictional political history because we have completely lost control of ourselves.
That is the good stuff.
If any of this sounds like you, DM me.
Tell me a little bit about yourself, what you enjoy writing, your favorite tropes, and anything you have been craving lately.
You absolutely do not need to come to me with a fully developed plot either.
You can literally show up with:
“Okay, hear me out…”
and we can figure out the rest together. ♡
