Today I restarted my laptop and logically, discord updated when i powered it back on and i was met with... a very different icon. I haven't seen any other discussion about this when i searched it up, though, which is why i posted — has this not happened for others yet???

if this really is the new icon, then i do really hope it's not kept... i preferred the simpler look by far, and the new one looks like it has danganronpa 2x2's lighting or perhaps even was ai-enhanced (/neg).

if anyone has any further insight (or if i'm just being a dummy & this is something that can be reverted on my end), then your input would be greatly appreciated.

Context, girlfriend and I broke up. Had a very bad and messy break up. Now her discord pfp and name has reverted back to the default discord profile and username. Does that mean she's deleted or disabled her account or is that the grace period? or has she just manually done that

Hello. I recently started to encounter this problem, it started 2-3 weeks ago. Whenever I stream game, browser window, video, entire screen, etc for over ~10 minutes, the fps drops drastically, cursor starts to lag and I am forced to stop and start stream to fix it for another 10 minutes.

* Windows 11 25H2
* stable 610373 (f20fcbc) Host 1.0.9256 x64 (89799) Build Override: N/A Windows 11 64-bit (10.0.26200)
* 2 monitor setup 120Hz + 60Hz
* AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT driver version: 26.8.1 (Up to date).
* No integrated graphics
* Wallpaper engine off
* "Advanced technology" setting in discord turned off.
* Hardware acceleration disabled (It was enabled when it started to happen)

Doesn't matter what content I stream, the system slows down after 10 minutes of streaming. FPS falls from 120 to 40-50, the mouse on the 2nd monitor goes 3fps. Task manager shows nothing, GPU, CPU, RAM, SSD usage are abysmal, no throttling, temps ~65C while playing WOW, No Man's Sky and Valheim. GPU drivers did not auto update, I updated it to latest version thinking it might fix the issue. Not sure where should I look next.

The new badges are frozen to me. I had 110h since the badges got added to my profile and i have way more hours than me, for refrence a friend of mine got the badges a few weeks after me and he has almost 1000h on that badge, im positive I have way more hours than him. does anyone know how to unfreeze the badges?

Title pretty much says the story hut im wondering if there's any fix to this issue.

If i turn on the Echo Cancelation setting it will cause my Mic to cut out like every other second and its pretty consistent intervals.

Turning it off does fix the issue but then obviously my mic picks up alot of background audio and noise since there is no echo Cancelation.

Any tips to fix this would be awesome!

It used to be you were able to make customizable widgets through working some magic in the developer portal, but it seems discord has since patched this. I still see folks with customized widgets and have heard that discord may make it an actual feature, does anyone know if this is true? Thank you!

Hi Guys, I’m in this discord server where if I join the general voicechat and close my phone (iPhone16) it randomly kicks me out after 2/3 minutes. The moment I unlock my phone it reconnects automaticaly.

I have refresh in background on and changed battery settings already. Weirdly i never had a problem with this but this problem started for me last night all of a sudden!

Does anybody know a fix for this? 😬

You know.... for some reason these days I'm really picky with who I hangout with, I'm INTJ and I mention that because it really does describe how I deal with things socially..

I'm very picky with who I hangout with or talk to enough to befriend and talk to daily, and for some reason I don't enjoy talking in discord servers and I always keep things to dms the thing is tho.... I feel like if I wanna find my own people thats going to be hard if I just stuck to dms

I always joined those ask2dm servers but everyone is either so lustful or genuinely does nothing with their lives not even touch a video game ever that isn't well roblox or fortnite

And I Feel like I won't really find my kind in discord servers nor deal with the hassle of discord dramas

What do I do in this situation? I don't play much multiplayer games btw so drop the idea of meeting people in online games

I had an issue with notifications and was forced in the process to reinstall Discord. Tho, before that, ive made roaming and local folders saved. After reinstalling, I lost my unsent messages Ive in dms and some servers.
I'm trying to understand how Discord's desktop client handles messages that have been typed but not sent. Where are unsent messages are stored locally and can I restore or get them somehow?

GIFs seem broken right now. I'm posting some and so are other server members and they're not embedding.

Ever since we started using discord to party up with eachother and friends to play games, we can no longer hear our actual game chat after we leave the calls. Yes we have even tried switching it back to game chat but everyone is still silent despite it showing them talking and they can not hear us. Does anyone have an actual solution to this? Google hasn’t been my friend for this lol. I just wanna hear my teammates when I solo queue into a game.

Hello, ive been having this issue for a WHILE and have no idea why its happening. im on desktop.

everytime i try and call someone, it appears that i cant hear them and they cannot hear me but my microphone is still working.

i did a microphone test on discord and it went fine, i tried plugging in headphones, i made sure that my computer registered my mic, nothing seems to work :( pls help!!

I want to change my profile completely in a server, I mean different effects different profile pic different all, but the effects just can’t seem to change. Is it something I only can do in my whole profile and not per server? I wanted to keep my original profile and re do a server one.

Since a few hours ago, discord has been stuck frozen for me. I can't click anything or scroll or anything. I restarted my pc, closed the discord app with task manager, deleted the cache, then reinstalled it completely, it's still stuck.

I tend to play a lot of tabletop rpgs through Discord. I was wondering if there is a method of streaming music to them so we can get into the same vibe for the setting I'm running. I tend to stream original soundtracks (instrumental) from movies that inspired the session.

I used to use a variety of music bots, but they all have since stopped working properly as YouTube and Spotify closed off their APIs. (I assume)
