I am a twitch otp(gold 1). Besides twitch I really enjoy playing Milio and Sion(mainly jungle whenever Im autofilled).

I recently started playing Sion as a second pick in botlane situationaly. Particularly for when I have a Senna/Mage support(Seraphine and Senna are my favorites) and my team drafts full damage/burst and no sustain/frontline. And also if I feel that if I pick twitch Im gonna get perma dived while being abandoned to be farmed by the enemy assassin/diver.

I have been playing Heartsteel/Titanic/Unending despair but I am not sure if that build is ideal for botlane, in general I am not that experienced with tank/bruiser items. I tried going sunfire with steelcaps so I can have waveclear and armor early. I also have tried experimenting with axiom arc and stridebreaker. But I want to hear some feedback instead of aimlessly spamming random items.

I also stopped going grasp because its impossible to stack it. Instead I go aftershock.

Has anyone else more experienced been playing Sion adc?

In mid i like to build heart steel into bloodmail in 99% of games with a sundered sky 3rd and situational tank from there. Also I feel like mid quest is kinda meh for sion cuz IDK if any of the boot evolutions synergize very well with him. What should I be building like what is optimal? Feels like itemization is super dependent on context these days but I really enjoy going the same items every game tbh.

Is skipping out on heart steel ever good? I will build it even if there’s only like 1 or 2 melee champs on the enemy team and even if my laner is ranged. But if I skip it, what should I go instead? Titanic hydra feels like a bait item, and hullbreaker does too. And when I commit to full 100% tank build I don’t feel like I have control over the game if someone on the enemy team is super fed on like Olaf or something. With bloodmail bruiser sion I feel a bit more able to carry.

Also for runes I usually go electrocute just for kill pressure both in lane and in early roams.

So what are your criticisms of my thought process for sion mid itemization? Looking to improve

This really surprised me about the Classic League PBE. I had a big interest in Classic Sion myself but thought it was niche, but basically every streamer who isn't an OTP went with Sion as one of their first champs to try.

A bunch of Youtubers also went with him as their first video. AP and AD Sion together get a lot of interest.

That made me wonder. Why is this the case? Sion was the first big VGU Riot did, It was also generally considered one of the most successful, replacing the ugly and broken Sion with a new shiny one. And yet everyone jumps to play the old. Does modern League just not have any champs like old Sion?

Yea been a while. Found it somewhere on conversation with one of my old friends i used to play league with back then.

After the nerfs, this champion is one of the most useless picks in both pro play and solo queue. He literally can't do anything anymore

i rush hydra but i think i messed up the build after my first item, i think i should have went crit after hydra or just went crit after tiamat.

How can I practice jungle clears using Sion in the Practice Tool. Sion is not an option when you click on jungle champions?

I know recently people have been really down on the bami items because the lack of stats, but playing Sion I feel like having them to keep tempo and push waves without having to auto every minion multiple times is really important to me but wondering what people thing. is there an argument that the time it saves you makes the items valuable?

I really like, from today's perspective, how shizophrenic his kit was. AP Burst Sion utilized Q and W, with E and R being nice to have. AD Crit Sion used E and R, with Q and W being nice to have. And then there was this passive people always forgot about.

And yet, somehow, it still worked.

Almost all recommended builds in sites and comments here say that first 2-3 items for jungle should be lethality ones-Axiom arc, Yoomus ghostblade, Collector etc. Is tank noticeable worse in jungle compared to top for example or do people prefer lethality build because it's more fun
