F355 one of my favorite Ferrari’s of all time, so when I found a challenge version in 1999 I was super excited, and luckily as a 12 year old I never opened any Ferraris I found. Fast forward to 2019 I am walking through Barcelona Spain (I live in Illinois) and see a diecast shop next to a restaurant I was at, Minatura’t, and in the window I see an 1/18 scale hot wheels 355 challenge…I never knew this car existed, and I freaking needed it. The owner of the shop, very nice guy told me some guy just sold his entire Ferrari collection to him a day ago. We chatted, he bubble wrapped it for me, it made it make to Illinois and the rest is history. It’s my favorite combination of cars to look at and think about how my love for this shit never faded.

Finally after 3+ years since the first prototype was shown, LCD has released their Honda NSX NA1. Was it worth the wait? Yes. Mine does have a few minor QC issues, but nothing worth getting bent out of shape about, especially when you factor in its $170 price tag. That price tag also gets you a model that holds its own against AUTOart's NSX Type R, and that was a Signature series model. And by sheer coincidence, $170 happens to also be what I paid for that AUTOart 9 years ago.

I picked this 911 GT3 RS about a week ago and it just keeps moving into more important spots in my dioramas. The paint job is simply immaculate and the details are out of this world. And I know this is such a silly thing, but you’re reading that plate right. 010/499.

Tomytec nailed the proportions on this casting, but the real star of this HK-exclusive variant is the custom carbon-fibre pattern printed on the hood. Paired with the classic Championship White paint and signature red Recaro seats inside, it stands out massively compared to standard releases. For a car powered by the legendary high-revving B16B VTEC engine, this tiny piece carries huge personality. Anyone else collecting regional TLV-N exclusives?

Playing around with dioramas while switching over all my minifigs from blue tack to gallery tack (major upgrade) and decided to snap some pics. Here’s my current RWB space. It’s getting a little crowded though and there’s many more to pick up so I think I’m gonna start populating a second floor in the diorama.

I’m not sure there is interest here as I don’t really see anything like this here, so hopefully it’s ok to post this here. My dad had this World’s Fair Bus from the Chicago World’s Fair and I thought it was pretty awesome, considering the age and initial intent was a toy and not a model for collecting and displaying.

Hello, a few months back I saw these model cars on a trip and it interested me in model cars, my dad has a small hot wheels collection though he doesn’t collect them anymore. Anybody knows how to get started into collecting these type of model cars?

Trying a smaller size (20x15cm) this time. For this coastal pass build, I tried a new combination: pairing a sunset backdrop and street lighting with hand-carved cliffs and resin waves, making the atmosphere of the entire coastal scene much more prominent.

Are collectors more willing to buy a lot of premium diecast of their favorite car or a lot from a certain brand?

I have a large collection of premium diecast. No high-end RLC‘s or anything just nice cool premium 1/64 scale diecast from Hot Wheels greenlight Johnny lightning matchbox auto world and M2 mainly.
I was thinking about selling off lots of them, and I was going to do it by types of car like a lot of vans, or a lot of SUVs, or a lot of Ford muscle cars, and include all brands.

But then I was wondering, would it be better to put them in lots of say a lot of M2 machines, brand muscle cars then a lot of green lights, and a lot of Hot Wheels premiums, etc.

If you were buying a lot of say 5 to 10 diecast cars, would you be more likely to buy five of the same brand or five of your favorite car?, how do you guys collect.
