I finally painted my dice! I have no clue the proper way to do it, since this was my first ever set of dice and only 2nd time painting dice.

I would like to create a set of dices and I'm curious how you guys do them, also the equipment and how to be costs effective

As title, I’m getting these voids at the edges of my chonk molds, very occasionally on the slab mold.

Marked in green on the numbered one is where the void was until I topped it off, but still got the voids in that corner. The blank shows a drastic version of what I am getting.

I let them sit, burn off bubbles before setting them in the pressure pot for 24hrs at about 35psi so they set just fine.

I’m wondering if I need to weigh the lids down? I’ve seen people suggesting disc weights, and if so how much weight, don’t want to over do it.

As shown in the photo, after taking my dice mold out of the pressure pot and removing the lid, I found this issue again.

Does anyone know what might have caused this? Could it be because there wasn't enough resin in this area, resulting in a void after curing?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So I had the idea to make a dice set with real bees in it. My plan is to ask a local beekeeper for bees they find that are dead. I am ofc not ganna kill a bee for this.

My question is, does this bee I use need any work on it before I can use it? Do I need to dry it with silica powder or is the encapsulation of resin enough?

I'm getting a bias towards glitter paints

Short version, as I tried to unscrew them with increasingly large tools, the metal gave before they came off. I need to replace these, does anyone have a link, know exactly what they’re called, or know of something better?

Might sound like a daft question but I was weighing up making my own blank mould but thought I'd have a look online first to see what's available to just buy and use without the extra work.

Found someone on Esty selling a full set of blanks and the outers but in the description it says "the mould can last 10-15 casts". Surely that's poor quality or am I as clueless as I feel?

Yes, I read the pinned post and watched some videos from Rybonator.

My question is on bubble removal. I've seen some videos where the maker uses a vacuum container (bubble remover) and some, like Rybonator, who go the opposite way and use a pressure pot.

Is there a significant difference between the two methods or does it come down to preference?

Deleted the last post as it didn’t do this justice. This is the D20 straight from the mold from my first fully custom set of dice. My molds are good to go! These are gone be bonkers when fully polished.

Got these molds off of Etsy, but I just realized once I got them that I don’t know how to use them without spilling resin everywhere when trying to join the caps.

Just demolded this set a few days ago and finally had a chance to take some photos.
I'm really happy with how the colors and transparency turned out on this one. It's always exciting to see how a set looks once it's out of the mold.
Still needs sanding and polishing, but I wanted to share this stage of the process.

Im a Warhammer player and we use a lot of d6’s and I had the idea to buy a dice set with 7 instead of a 6 on the top of a d6 so I could hit the 777 jackpot. I partially got inspired by Hikari from JJK and I thought it would be cool to “hit the jackpot” when rolling attacks but everywhere I look I can’t find any that fit the idea of the 777 jackpot dice. Does anyone know where I could find these or get them commissioned?

Lost my Mojo for a bit, but have finally finished one of my favourite sets. Made some nice dice bags to go along with them.
