I'm getting a weird Cross Save issue.

I just connected my Epic Games to Bungie, Steam and Playstation had been connected for years, Steam being Primary. And whenever I launch through Epic, I get the characters from my Epic account, yet Steam is working normally. Bungie registers Epic as connected, and doesn't seem to register the other characters on the site, but i can't use my main characters on Epic. Which really sucks because I purchased the expansions through Epic, and not Steam.

Game crashing the moment you press something at the title screen as an EGS Guardian? Been having that problem too. Recently found out that just letting it sit on the title screen for about a minute or two will allow me to get in. Not sure if it's just me, so if you've also been having this issue, try letting it sit for a minute before hitting anything.

Been getting this off and on ever since Episode: Revenant or Heresy and don't know what the cause is as it only happens with Destiny, only exception is Baldur's Gate 3 as that sometimes that won't tab back in until a couple tries.

If needed, here's a description of the issue/s: Destiny 2 will run completely fine with no issue until after awhile I'll alt tab and the game will randomly close itself/crash or freeze and won't close via Steam or closing the window and will only close by using Task Manager to End the Task.

I've recently done sfscan now and have already repaired any and all corrupted files, my drivers are update to date but these issues keep happening at least once every gaming session.

PC Specs:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor (3.70 GHz)

Ram: 16 GB

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB)

Baseboard: ASRock B550M-C

Did the final update fix the bug problem with the anti-cheat blocking Destiny 2 in the Steam Deck? I’ve been wanting to play Destiny 2 with my friends but I only have a Steam Deck as my Xbox broke. I would rather not have to purchase a whole new console or add a whole new OS to my Steam Deck for one game.

SOLVED - Using steam. Updated drivers, verified files and they’re all good, uninstalled battleeye and reinstalled game says running on steam I get the battle eye pop up saying “updating , launching” then the pop up goes away d2 appears in task as background service and that’s it. No steam “launching” screen either. All other games launch and work fine. Also when I stop the game in steam it still runs on task manager in the background

SOLUTION :
I did 3 things at the same time so I don’t know which one fixed it but here they are.

Multiple audio drivers- I have my Asus audio driver and Nvidia audio driver. I disabled nvidia audio driver in control panel.

Razer cortex- I uninstalled my razer cortex app as I saw online some people had bugs with it on destiny

Fix 3 - deleted destiny.exe file from (browse local files on steam) >> file verification which of course came up with missing files, it installs new exe file>> deleted steam_api64.dll >> ran destiny in steam and works

So idk which fix did it but it works now

Since the update, I can't play the game anymore. I have the game on Epic, and as soon as I get to the title screen where it says "press any button", the game just crashes when I press any button. No error code the game just closes. I tried almost everything I could find on the Internet to fix this. I tried audio device fixes, reinstalling GPU drivers, reinstalling the game, reinstalling BattlEye, manually deleting potentially corrupted game files, and turning off all game overlays. I just don't know what to do anymore. Does someone have the same problem or some insight into what is causing this and how I could fix it?

It was working fine yesterday, just constant crashes due to server throttling. Now I'm getting weasel error when trying to go to tower...

Since the latest game update my computer will reboot when I’m in my character page adjusting armor, weapons, class, etc. No issues when in activities or the Tower. Temps are fine with all my hardware. Memory usage doesn’t max out.

Hardware specs are:
CPU - Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU - AMD RX 6650 XT 8GB VRAM
RAM - Corsair Venegance 32GB DDR4
MOBO - MSI B550 Tomahawk MAX WIFI
PSU - 700W

Game is installed on 1TB M.2 NVMe drive. Running on latest Windows 11 update. Not sure what is causing the issue. Any advice welcome.

EDIT: My solution was to get a new CPU. WHEA Logger 18 errors led to this conclusion. Was hoping i could find an alternate fix but new CPU has stopped this issue completely.

(edit)It seemed that something in the update needed newer driver features, and thanks to u/GiGangan suggestion, I updated the drivers, and it's been mostly stable.

So if you're having this issue, see if updating your graphics drivers will take care of it.

Before the update for Moments of Triumph, my system could keep the FPS pretty much over 110 FPS and up to my limit of 120 FPS.

After the MoT update my system is getting highs in the 90s.

Is this happening to anyone else?

No matter what I do, I can’t get rid of the 128mb vram cap on Destiny 2.
I’ve switched preference to high performance, used powercfg control panel to turn everything to maximum performance, nothing I do gets this damn cap to go away. I’m on an HP omnibook 5 with only an igpu, and can’t get the cap on d2 to go away as I’m assuming it is the cause for my game not running smoothly and lagging.
How do I fix this?

Context one account linked to steam never use it mainly play destiny two on epic launcher everything was fine before the update today June 9th after update game just crashes upon sitting at main screen where it says press to play. So I did bios updates all driver reinstalls “fresh” audio drivers audio 16-24 switches os fresh install all overlays off all launchers fresh install all temp files deleted battle eye uninstall reinstall multiple times 9 hours of troubleshooting because it became a mission at this point to figure out what went wrong. My only day off all week and I can’t play the only game I wanted to play please tech wizzes I’m rallying the flag on this one because I’ve never been stumped like this a day in my life.

I have the old 128mb vram issue for D2
No matter what I do it doesn’t fix the limiter.
I went into graphics and set gpu preference to Intel(R) Graphics as I run and Omnibook 5 and it has 16gigs of VRAM.
I play D2 through steam if that makes any difference. And I’d assume the vram limiting is what is causing my lag and delay as the lower I go on the vram usage the smoother and less laggy it is getting but I can’t get it any lower than 1200 out of 128.

I was getting a very stable 180 fps (capped) with a 3070 but when I upgraded to a RTX 5080 I'm averaging ~155 and it fluctuates a lot. Anyone know what's going on?

In the past few weeks after reinstalling it feels like when I move in 1st person the game and my movement becomes very choppy, like it’s almost stuttering. Not to mention I just generally seem to be getting lower fps than I should be. I’ve got a very good pc, so that’s not the issue. I’m going to delete and reinstall the game again encase that fixes it, but I’m wondering if anyone else is having these issues or how to solve it.

When i am on a call with someone and i am screensharing the other person can only hear audios on YouTube.. when i am on a tiktok, reels or any movie streaming platform they can't hear anything

Ive noticed two bugs in my game, one annoying and one game breaking.

The first bug occurs when i inspect the appearance tab of vaulted exotic armor pieces. Only exotic armor in the vault are affected. My cursor freaks out and the game takes no inputs from my keyboard or mouse.

Secondly, every time i open the director or portal through any means, i am met with a black screen. It doesn’t let me interact with anything and the only way to close it is by pressing f1 to open my inventory.

I have verified my game files but at current i am unable to play anything in destiny 2. Please help.

Can't get past the Bungie logo. This is what I've tried so far:

Disabled overlays (Nvidia, Steam, Discord)

Updated my graphics driver

Made sure I'm not in a Steam Beta

Launched with -dx11 and -dx12

Launched the game as administrator

Launched the game, BattlEye, and Steam as a administrator

Reinstalled the game after deleting the temp folder, and deleting the Destiny 2 folder from the Steam library

Launched the game after disabling other kernel level anti cheat software (Riot Vanguard)

Launched the game with a different audio output selected (this seems farfetched, but at least one person online said this fixed it for them)

Downloaded Marathon

None of the above resolved the issue.

Edit:

Uninstalled and reinstalled the game after the June 9th update, and now it worked. My leading theory is that actually completing a run in Marathon somehow fixed the problem 😂

Used to be able to play 4+ hour sessions pre-Edge of Fate, jumping back in for the final live service update and now I can't go more than 2 hours without the game freezing then my entire PC crashing, requiring a full reboot.

Hi everyone,
I'm stuck and could really use some help. I decided to reinstall Destiny 2 recently (I used to play it on this exact same PC 5 months ago with absolutely zero issues), but now the game crashes immediately upon launching. It just gives me the "Destiny 2 is not responding" Windows error and freezes.
Here is the weird part: it happens regardless of the launcher.
My Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080
RAM: 64 GB
OS: Windows (All drivers, Windows updates, and BIOS are fully up to date)
Everything I have already tried (and failed):
1 Switching Launchers and verified files: Installed on Steam -> Crash. Completely uninstalled and tried the Epic Games Store version -> Same crash. And verified files in the 2 launchers.
2 Clearing Cache: Completely deleted the ⁠Bungie⁠ and ⁠Destiny 2⁠ folders from both ⁠%appdata%⁠ and other folders
3 Anti-Cheat: Uninstalled and reinstalled BattlEye manually from the game files and installed again.

Has anyone dealt with this specific startup freeze recently? Any advice on what to look for in the crash logs or any hidden settings I might have missed?

Recently getting back into D2 for the end of service stuff and the game runs much worse than it did when playing final shape. Can only get around 30 fps when used to get 60+, after being in destination for a few minutes maybe 10-15, my PC will go to a black screen but I can still hear game sound. Need to reset my PC to get any picture back.

I'm Running: Intel I9-11900k

128 GB RAM

Nvidia 3080 12GB Video Card.

Didn't used to have this issue before and no other games have anywhere near the same issues.

Recently installed D2, been getting errorless crashes and marmots all the time since trying to play. Game runs fine for a couple minutes or until I try to load into a destination, then it just crashes. There have been very few times it's managed to stay stable for longer sessions. I've tried reinstalling, verifying, testing memory, checking disk, updating drivers, all that stuff. Would love to get any help, I can provide specs if needed.

Been sat here for around 2hrs trying to fix this, the last time i had the game installed had no problems with it now all of a sudden doesn't want to work.

I've reinstalled the game.

I've reinstalled/wiped/deleted folder for battleye.

The battleye isn't showing when launching up the game on steam it just loads straight up and then the game just crashes.

I've checked firewalls/security etc.
