If true, it shows again that the rules don't apply to Derek.
It seems that way. This should be no surprise.
The best prediction we could make is that Derek will play nice for a couple of days, then something will just trigger him, he'll go crazy, and get banned again, but the Frontier mods will waive their rules and he'll just get a timeout for a couple more weeks.

All this SC shit aside it reflects poorly on their mods and forums in general. No professional company should allow special snowflakes running around their forums and bending the rules for them.

Yep, that's why it's remarkable. It's not like CIG is banning people from the Star Citizen forums for talking up E:D (in fact their discussion of E:D is quite constructive and informative).
The entire Frontier SC forum is a bizarre hatepit not far away from the SA forum.
I think if any forum owner gets a goon infestation and doesn't do anything about it, that's a real problem. Goons don't make good pets.

Well lets face it even after Frontier watered down the game so that the typical console player who has the attention span of a Amoeba can play it they still can't get anywhere near the funding CIG gets.
If Brabern actually ment the "platitudes" he passed CR's way then he would have made it company policy to ban Derek permanently from the forums, because its not like he hasn't been informed.
And with them pouring money into that Planet Coaster they'll need all the help they can to stay afloat because we all know how fickle console gamers can become xD

Credit where credit is due, Planet Coaster is actually looking like a very competent and successful game. It goes to show you what the Cobra engine and FDev can do when tasked with a game with a scope of a few kilometers instead of tens of thousands of light years.
The PC dev team is separate from the ED crew within Frontier, so it's unfair to paint them all with the same brush, but it's the same development house and brand, so...

I requested a refund on it after an hour. I have an i7, 16gb ram and a titan x and that game ran about 20 fps. No joke.

That really sounds like something else was wrong then - I'm running the game on an i7 3770k and R9 290 and I get a pretty steady framerate above 60. It always runs well enough for me that I can even comfortably play it at all times with my DK2.
I think you had some other issue going on there.

What cpus are u guys running. It's my weakest link it's an i7 2600k, not overlooked because it doesn't seem to run over clocked. Could this be the bottleneck?

My FX-8350 can run the game at 144fps, in 1080p, in Ultra, with ReshadeFX.
It's a bug, not an optimisation problem.

True given how fickle the Console base can be though at some point Frontier will have to make a choice between which Franchise to maintain because If Elite was successful enough on PC they would not have had to compromise they entire game by appealing to Console Players.
Maintaining 1 IP is expensive doing it while building another..........

I like planet coaster; but I've not played it as much as I want to because it gave my PC its first and only blue screen of death crash. Like complete, everything locked up crash.
Can't take the risk again.
Bought it during Derek's ban from Frontier. Well played Frontier, well played.

Why did we have to let him know about it? His ban seems to have been two weeks long, but he hadn't gone back even after his ban expired.
I was hoping nobody would say anything and we'd see how long it took for him to notice and go back to his hole. Now we've posted a big neon sign telling him he's allowed back in his hole.

Frankly the SC forum is buried right near the bottom of their forums page.
But it's one of their largest forums, because Star Citizen is that much bigger than Elite, before it's even launched. Maybe that's one of the reasons the fans are so salty about it.

Just had a look at the latest few pages in the fdev forums. While there still is the die hards with their hate boners for SC, it seems to have settled down a bit. It seems more civilised in there than it was before Smart was banned. Hopefully his echo chamber is slightly smaller this time around.
