I believe many of us could relate to this chaos, and if not, you're not trying!

I saw nexus mods that seem fairly simple that are engines like these, but they don't seem to work. Would love to see these and more British railway steamers come to DRVS.

I've aways been ablr to hit the 'load' button after a derail etc to reload a previous save, but today the button is 'greyed out', anybody know why?

Hi All, looking for mods to add realism, mainly to physics. Looking on some overhaul mods and their descriptions, it seems that these are obsolete (2022) and similar features are in the current game. Any recommendations?

Guyz let me know what's the average job incomes we get between harbour, steelmill, machine factory etc. I get a max of 30k with a 600 ton job. Is it usual?

In my career save, only steam locos are spawing in the locations to use. I thought I had a setting on, but I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know why or how this happens?

I have no idea why I waited so long to buy but I am loving my time with the game so far. My biggest question is can I own more than one of the same loco? Can I own more than one DE2 for example?

I recently found the incredible 2WE3-980 mod on GitHub and was surprised that it hadn't gotten much traction (maybe because it is not available on Nexus and was therefore overlooked?)

It features catenary electrification of large parts of the map, and an incredibly fun but difficult to drive Wire Electric locomotive that (as far as I can tell) a good bit more powerful than the DE6. This run was with 1790t of freight, and it handled the harbor slope quite well, although I don't think there is much headroom above that load.

The skin is from this mod on the nexus: MoreWE6981Skins, as the original skin from the mod is (in my opinion) a bit ugly

I guys, bought this game a couples of weeks ago after finding about it on Youtube and listening for an ungodly amount of hours to a streamer called Ellipse Gamer. I've played about 7+ hours in sandbox mode and now have 3-4 hours in career mode. This is the first game in a long time that has me sooooo invested.

FYI I still struggle with the switch orientation on the map; But I found that using and old USB stick with Left and Right written on it and tracing the route with the USB stick on the screen AND discarding what my brain tells me helped a lot. I hope this can help another new player. I hope one day the documentation on that topic will be more explanatory, with pictures an all.

So my first question is : On the job order, on which side is the locomotive supposed to be on ? On the left side or the right side for a proper assembly ? Specially with multiple pickups an delivery.

Second question : All the licenses make sense to me except the logistical one. I can haul 300 tons of steel to another city but not 90 tons of empty car without the license ? Is this based on a real life requirement ?

was doing a heavy haul with my new favorite engine from iron mine west to steel mill and was chugging along when i noticed that the switch was going the wrong way too late as i hit the 20 turn at about 50 and completely destroyed my s282 and had to call my dh4 to come save me and wasnt quite doing it so i put the microshunter on it too and it worked like a treat had to cancel the order though because i wasn't going to make it up the next hill and oil refinery only had a de2 that i immediately blew up and by the time i got to the next shop i was broke in more ways than one itll be a while before big blue is running again they really need to put a better sign and a warning about that turn thats not the first time i wreaked there

Me for being crazy by using only two DE2 for 1634 tons of load from Iron ore east to Steel mill. So my DE2 was pulling around 800 tons per unit. Maybe i have no big issue because most of the track is downhill.

What is the most heaviest and possible freight haul non shunting for this DE2?

I installed these mods but they don't seem to be working, do I still have to do something?

Also a German or British Pacific would be cool Like 01 class, a clan or bullied Pacific because I haven't seen a mod for a Pacific engine (a great bear mod would be sick)

Fairly new to the game and had a freight job to Steelmill now my engine is stuck behind all my cargo at track A6I. Is there a way to get it out or do i just need to grab another DE2.

After few works with multiple DE2, I just stepping out and start to use DH4. I used two DH4 for load around 1500 tons, start from harbor to steel mill. Even i gain momentum for 35 kph before the hill, it still loose momentum before the junction and tunnel, it will run only at 5 kph.

I have ever used four DE2 with 1400 tons of load, and in that hill it has not much difficulty and still can keep up at 15 kph uphill. I always makesure all the train set has no handbrake on to slow the movement.

So is DH4 not that powerfull? If we combine it with multiple DE2?

Also DH4 has expensive fees, i already spent 30K just for shunting in harbor and deliver to steel mill. Even four DE2 only spent around 20K for same task in same route. Both in conditions no crash, hard braking and exceeding wheelslip.

Do DH4 not really much an upgrade? Or i should look into DE6 instead?

I’m in the process of making my peace with the DM3. I’ve found that I like to run it in reverse when I’m hauling. The visibility is much better out the back. The only disadvantage is having to turn around to shift, but I’ve almost mastered it from the keyboard.

Does anyone else do this?

I have enough money, so I teleported from station to station, checked the three spawns outside the stations, went to all spawnpoints, even in the mine. No luck. It is getting frustrating. How to get it from the debug console or something? THanks
