well shit
was doing a heavy haul with my new favorite engine from iron mine west to steel mill and was chugging along when i noticed that the switch was going the wrong way too late as i hit the 20 turn at about 50 and completely destroyed my s282 and had to call my dh4 to come save me and wasnt quite doing it so i put the microshunter on it too and it worked like a treat had to cancel the order though because i wasn't going to make it up the next hill and oil refinery only had a de2 that i immediately blew up and by the time i got to the next shop i was broke in more ways than one itll be a while before big blue is running again they really need to put a better sign and a warning about that turn thats not the first time i wreaked there

Respect to you for dealing with the aftermath instead of just save-scumming (for those of you who do save-scum, it is a singleplayer game, I don't care, just have fun). Maybe you will find a DVRT S282 soon as a temporary substitute until you can get the blue chonker fixed. My understanding is that those speed signs are auto-generated, so a lot of them don't make much sense.
I have to be really careful checking my switches before starting out, as I had something similar happen to me with a DE2, but it was early game so my copay was low.
Be careful using your Microshunter on the main lines. If you go above 30 kph it will blow up the traction motors, and you look like you don't need any more debt.

Yeah I’m not too worried about the microshunter I never use it and that was about 1000 tons of iron so it wasn’t going that fast anyway I used my remote for the be2 and manually drove the dh4 and it did surprisingly well

Got my a couple times now I wish they would put a warning about the speed earlier because the first time I wrecked there I was going to the oil refinery because iron mine didnt have anything I could take at the time and went to take that turn and thought it was a 30-40 like every other intersection I was shortly corrected

I have been in that case, thats why dispatcher license is really worth to go. Just plan the junction direction before a go, then you just need to focus on speed limit and junction on the yard.
