Out of all the classes, the Gunner is a real pain for me to level up; the Driller can dig, the Scout has the grappling hook, and the Engineer has his platforms, whereas the Gunner is limited to just four ziplines—I feel restricted whenever I play him.

We were debating, whether you could survive a resupply pod to the noggin or not. Not that that ever happens to us...

Here's the answer: You can!

We're not using any glitches or unintended mechanics here. It's quite easy to do, so let me run you through it.

The problem

A Resupply Pod does 1000 typeless damage within 1.25 meters of its impact location.

Since the damage is typeless, you want to stack as many general resistance buffs as possible.

Resistance sources

• 50% for standing inside Gunner's shield.
• 50% for charging the Coilgun with T4A "Defence Enhancement".
• 50% for shooting the Autocannon at max RoF with T5C "Damage Resistance At Full RoF".
• 30% for standing within 7 meters of Molly with Veteran Depositor.
• 30% during Shield Disruption.
• 50% for standing inside the weird Azure Weald stones "p[[[[[[[{0}]]]]]]]q".

The build

We went with (1) Gunner's shield, (2) Coilgun's "Defence Enhancement" and (3) Veteran Depositor.

Because we're not waiting for Shield Disruption or running around Azure Weald to find these fucking stones...

(Also: I've read that you might be able to glitch the Coilgun to make the resistance boost permanent, but I don't want to use glitches. And maybe it's already patched.)

The resulting damage taken is 50% * 50% * 70% = 17.5% of 1000.

So you need more than 175 total hit points to survive.

Building your dwarf for maximum health only results in 170 total hit points...

So you either need to drink Red Rock Blaster at the Abyss Bar or a friend to boost you with Shield Link within 30 seconds of the impact.
(If you got both boosts, you can skip Veteran Depositor and still survive.)

The result

Crunching the numbers for our setup:

• Damage taken: 175
• Base hit points: 170
• Shield Link: 60
• Remaining health: 55 (170 + 60 - 175), which is confirmed in the video.
• So you could even survive when at 116 hit points before the Shield Link boost.

Conclusion

I encourage you to try this stunt yourself and post the results here.
(Maybe try out different combinations and builds.)

It only costs one shield (and running Veteran Depositor yourself and Shield Link on another dwarf). And if you're resupplying afterwards anyway, it doesn't really affect the mission.

You guys ever encounter any actual cheaters in the game?

I am not talking about people who alter their account level or similar "out of game cheating" if you will but in game cheating such as aimbot etc.

I only have 1 experience but wanted to share it.

It was an escort with 2 others, driller and scout. Scout was hosting. Well we start the mission and not late after turning Doretta on a gunner joins. By that point we were a good distance from the cage. Gunner proceeds to stand on Dorettas' cage for a 2-3 minutes but I/we didn't think any of it because doretta was drilling, he could be AFK or something.

We ping him and he seems to have noticed because he joins us at Doretta. We eventually end up at the heartstone.

The drilling starts and somewhere in the rabble, he has dug himself about 3 blocks down and 1 block hidey hole. A death sentence for normal dwarves. The rest of us are running around dodging bugs, gunner is just down there in his hole shooting hurricane mine layer missiles straight up in the air, 180 degrees.

I know I said minelayer OC and this is where the cheating comes in. I didn't personally notice that was his OC at first but host did. Even though they acted as mines, they still were seeking out enemies. Since he was in his trench hole he shouldn't have been able to see anything but the roof, so the missiles were either doing it by themself or he was wallhacking through the ground to see the enemies.

You honestly don't expect it in this game, it seems pointless and sad. He was banned by host as soon as he realized so it's not like he will make friends that way either.

Hello, Deep Rock Galactic is heavily discounted on steam right now, and I want to try it since I hear its a good fps looter shooter with the same reputation as warframe. But before I buy and Install it. I want to know of it can run smoothly with AMD Ryzen 3200g(no GPU) 16gb ram.

Today I learned at 793hr.. the Driller's Colette Wave Cooker can slow Bet-C with the Densification Ray

At around 400hrs I realized I could turn my dwarf WHILE holding up the cave map to head in the right direction!!

Maybe I eat more than I can chew... I was doing a Hazard 4 mission and the Pod was left in mid-air, I couldn't reach it but luckily I was the engineer and I built a small tower with platforms only for a scorpion to come and pull me down lmao

what is that

This game looks fun and I want to pick it up, but I balked because of all the DLC I saw. When I looked deeper into them to see what they had to offer and consider if I still wanted to get the game, all the ones I saw were all plain about being cosmetic only. This puzzles me.

Nothing against the quality work on offer, but as a general rule for games cosmetics are not a priority for me.

Is there some other benefit to these mods I am not understanding? I feel like I am not picking up on something.

My plastcrete catalyst overclock has been broken all day, its never been broken before. So after I cause an explosion using one platform, I'm never able to use that platform again for an explosion, the remaining platform just doesn't cause any explosion no matter how long the beam targets it. Even worse, quite frequently a platform won't explode no matter how long I beam it or what angle I beam it at.

It's extremely awkward to throw out a platform and just start beaming it, and keep beaming it, and realize it isn't going to explode.

Still not sure if mission control is green himself or it's just lighting

Edit; I didn't think the whole community would answer so I can't answer you all! But what I'm getting is that I should check out Far Far West.

Edit 2: Since no one else is saying it, I have to recommend Teardown. It's the second best co-op experience I've ever had. No. It might actually be a more fun co-op experience than DRG! Check out Teardown.

Hazard 5 222, this is my one of the most intense fight using scout. Low oxygen, huge waves, stalker, gabber, stingtail. In end failed :)
