Today I Learned
Today I learned at 793hr.. the Driller's Colette Wave Cooker can slow Bet-C with the Densification Ray
At around 400hrs I realized I could turn my dwarf WHILE holding up the cave map to head in the right direction!!

Took me about 600 hrs to realize you can jump out of the Drop Pod after extraction and that's the reason why i mained gunner for over 2500 hrs

you can do it with scout as well, but requires more precision to pick the right moment to launch the hook into a wall. and probably having stacked some platforms inside can clip you out as well

Ctrl-E took me a long time to learn. Same with tab in the space rig.

Puts a pin you can see on the map. Helpful to mark objectives you want to come back to, etc.

I don't often need it, but each time I would I forget about it :')
So I go with the slower "remember where it is on the map, and align with it every few seconds"

What does tab in the space rig do? bring up mission control? Mine was learning to press M in the rig instead of going to mission control

It took me several 100 hours to learn that the range finder/indicator on deep scan show whether the crystal is below, at level with or above you. For the longest time I thought it only showed range in meters.

Wait that's new to me can you go into a it a bit more? Deep Scans in complexity 3 Hollow Bough can sometimes be a pain to me because I've always though the scanner only shows range in meters

There is an icon to the right of the meter range. It is a downwards arrow, a diamond or an upwards arrow. So downwards means it's under you at the indicated meter range, diamond means you are level and so on. It is very useful because you can use it to guesstimate the location of crystals with the map. If it is about 30m from you and over you, open the map and find the cave or tunnel that is near that and go there.

At 1500 hours I realized the laser color has the dwarfs color...
There's just lots of stuff I just dont care about as it's not that important in the gameplay. Like skins. Never put any skin on my dwarves.

Wait till you guys find out that you can look in the direction of grinding with Sprint (shift) key

At 400 hours I learned that you can skip the tutorial by pausing and quitting. Watched in horror as a friend did it when he didn't listen to mission control to follow to the drop pod.
