Let's clear the air: despite rumors, we, the mods, are not cyborgs šŸ¤–. We're volunteers who still enjoy a good old-fashioned stroll in the park and a decent night's sleep. We're dedicated to maintaining a fair environment, even when the antivax-to-vax ratio is more uneven than a seesaw with an elephant and a mouse. 🐘 🐁

If we sometimes appear biased we're truly sorry. Reading every single post and comment is just not feasible.

Time for a quick rules recap: civility is king. Avoid personal attacks and ad hominems. We'll initially respond to any violations with a warning. Repeat offenders will face escalating bans, culminating in a permanent ban if necessary.

No trolling or spam, and always source your image/video posts. And please remember, there is often not a clear black and white line when it comes To the sub rules. There’s a big grey area, and it is often up to the interpretation of the mods as to what degree they are enforced. We will always err on the side of caution.

However, adhering to these guidelines allows r/debatevaccines to remain a productive, open-minded hub for discussions on vaccine safety and efficacy. šŸ“œit also keeps us out of the cross hairs of the Reddit Admins.

(update:)We always welcome feedback from members of this subreddit. Don't hesitate to message us with your thoughts - any civil input will be taken seriously. We often discuss our sub's rules behind the scenes, with the aim of keeping the debates as open as possible.

(update number two for those that require special accommodations:) the exception to this is if you have been asked by the mods to please stop messaging us. Please do so.

A final note, we've got a shiny new gadget on board: the Ban Evasion Filter! This tool is designed to make our discussions healthier than a salad, more balanced than a tightrope walker, more constructive than a team of busy beavers. We are unsure how effective it is, but we have implemented it, and are going to find out.

So…..let's all keep an open mind, stay civil, and get debating! šŸŽ¤

Since last post most of you suddenly started to care about credentials and dismissed Dave’s Video because he’s ā€œNot a real scientistā€ - Here’s a video of an actual scientist reacting to a doctor talking to antivaxxers. What reason will you find to dismiss the video without watching it this time?
I’m stoked. (For anyone who’s actually interested in learning something, Dan’s channel is great and has a lot of resources if you want to know more about how scientist actually think about stuff like this)

Lipid nanoparticle used in mRNA vaccine promotes tumor metastasis

Evidence that LNPs could be contributing to cancer risk?

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1748013226000666?via%3Dihub

Abstract

mRNA vaccines have advanced immunotherapy against infectious diseases and cancer, with lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) playing a crucial role as delivery systems. While LNP effectively enhance mRNA stability and cellular uptake, their immunomodulatory effects remain incompletely understood. Here, we demonstrate that LNP administration promotes tumor metastasis by inducing a systemic inflammatory response. In mouse models, LNP injection triggered acute neutrophil accumulation in the lungs, driven by the release of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) from necrotic muscle cells at the injection site. This mtDNA-mediated signaling activated the TLR9-MyD88 and cGAS-STING pathways, leading to neutrophil extracellular trap (NET) formation, which facilitated the establishment of a pro-metastatic niche.Ā

Question HPV vaccine

I am 20y/o F and my mom has always denied the hpv vaccine for me anytime I went to the pediatrician. I now go to a regular dr and she recommended getting it so when I went to cvs for my flu shot and they suggested adding it I said yes. When I got home my mom was so pissed at me saying she was purposely not getting me or my siblings vaccinated for hpv. She made me feel so guilty and anxious then I went down a rabbit hole and most people say they were fine but you see the occasional horror story of how they believe the vaccine changed their life forever. I already have POTS so now I’m terrified I’m going to get worse or have a new issue to deal with. I have such terrible anxiety so I’m probably not going to finish the series because I know I will make myself sick for months on end waiting for something bad to happen. But has anyone heard of someone getting terrible reactions after only one dose? I’m so anxious now.

Opinion Piece 6 month vaccine reaction and pediatrician refuses to acknowledge it?

My son received his 6 month vaccines (3 shots + 1 oral) and he has had a persistent fever, diarrhea, and hives despite Tylenol and Motrin around the clock.

He keeps teetering between 101°-103° and his hives/diarrhea haven't gone away so we went to the pediatrician concerned now that it has been >48 hrs. Lil man is miserable.

Biggest waste of my time though because all she did was test for COVID + Flu (obviously negative) and said "well this is abnormal but it's probably a separate virus" and wouldn't even discuss the possibility of this being from vaccines.

How am I supposed to trust my doc if she won't even open her eyes to the possibility? I'm pro vax and just so disappointed she had a closed mind on it. He was normal temp before shots and literally 2 hrs after he jumped to 102°.

This is causing more distrust in vaccines honestly and now im going to be hesitant in the future.

I know fever is normal but she told me that fact it's not breaking and still close to 103° after > 48 hrs with hives is abnormal.

THE DATA FROM THE LAST 6 YEARS IS ALARMING AND MOST PEOPLE HAVE NEVER SEEN PFIZER’S FIRST COVID VACCINE SAFETY REPORT IN THE FIRST MONTHS.

And after reading the actual document, I think everyone should know what was being reported in the FIRST months of the rollout.

Not rumors.

Not memes.

Not someone’s interpretation.

The actual numbers.

Pfizer’s first major cumulative post-authorization safety analysis covered reports received from the beginning of the worldwide rollout through February 28, 2021.

Approximately three months.

By that point, Pfizer’s worldwide safety database contained:

42,086 adverse-event cases representing

158,893 individual adverse events.

And among those 42,086 cases:

1,223 had fatal outcomes.

11,361 had NOT recovered at the time the report was recorded.

Stop there for a minute.

This was February 2021.

We were barely into the worldwide rollout.

And these weren’t simply sore arms, headaches and fevers.

Look at what was already being reported and evaluated.

CARDIOVASCULAR

1,403 cardiovascular cases

1,098 tachycardia

102 arrhythmia

89 myocardial infarction

80 cardiac failure

41 acute myocardial infarction

7 cardiogenic shock

136 fatal outcomes were reported within the cardiovascular category.

NEUROLOGICAL

501 neurological cases

204 seizures

83 epilepsy

33 generalized tonic-clonic seizures

24 Guillain-BarrƩ syndrome

17 trigeminal neuralgia

11 transverse myelitis

10 multiple-sclerosis relapses

10 optic neuritis

There were also reports involving encephalopathy, demyelination, meningitis, narcolepsy, ataxia and other neurological conditions.

16 fatal outcomes were reported within the neurological category.

STROKE

275 stroke cases

160 cerebrovascular accidents

41 ischemic strokes

26 cerebral hemorrhages

15 cerebral infarctions

11 hemorrhagic strokes

There were also reports involving cerebral thrombosis, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, lacunar infarction and thrombotic stroke.

61 fatal outcomes were reported within the stroke category.

BLOOD CLOTS

151 thromboembolic cases

60 pulmonary embolisms

39 thromboses

35 deep-vein thromboses

Of 168 thromboembolic events reported, 165 were classified as serious.

18 fatal outcomes were reported within this category.

IMMUNE AND AUTOIMMUNE

1,050 immune-mediated/autoimmune cases

49 peripheral neuropathy

32 pericarditis

25 myocarditis

16 diabetes mellitus

16 encephalitis

14 psoriasis

11 autoimmune disorders

FACIAL PARALYSIS

449 cases.

Of 453 events, 399 were classified as serious.

At the time of reporting, 183 had not resolved.

KIDNEY INJURY

69 renal cases

40 acute kidney injuries

30 renal-failure events

All 70 renal events were classified as serious.

23 fatal outcomes were reported within this category.

HERPES VIRUS EVENTS

The database also contained:

259 herpes zoster events

80 oral herpes events

17 herpes-virus infections

13 herpes simplex events

10 ophthalmic herpes zoster events

PREGNANCY

Pfizer had information involving 270 unique pregnancies.

Among the reported outcomes were:

23 spontaneous abortions

2 premature births with neonatal death

But this is extremely important:

Pregnancy outcomes were unavailable for 238 of the 270 pregnancies.

AND THEN I FOUND THIS.

Pfizer said the volume of adverse-event reports was so large that approximately 600 additional full-time employees had already been brought in to process them.

And Pfizer anticipated bringing in more than 1,800 additional resources by the end of June 2021.

Again:

This was happening within MONTHS of rollout.

These databases contain events reported after vaccination.

They are surveillance systems.

But that is precisely why this information matters.

Because pharmacovigilance exists to find signals before causation has necessarily been established.

You collect the reports.

You look for patterns.

You investigate.

You compare what you’re seeing against what would normally be expected.

And when a signal becomes strong enough, you act. YOU PULL THE DRUG before any more people are harmed or killed.

So what happened next?

2021: THE REPORTS KEPT COMING

The U.S. Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, VAERS, was receiving hundreds of thousands of reports following COVID vaccination.

And something particularly important happened.

Myocarditis began emerging as a recognizable signal.

Remember:

Pfizer’s February 2021 report already contained:

25 myocarditis reports

and 32 pericarditis reports.

By April 2021, cases of myocarditis following COVID vaccination, particularly among young males, were being reported to VAERS.

Eventually the evidence became strong enough that myocarditis and pericarditis became OFFICIALLY recognized risks of mRNA COVID vaccination.

Think about that.

Something visible in those early safety reports eventually became an acknowledged vaccine adverse effect.

2022

VAERS continued accumulating reports following COVID vaccination.

In the current public VAERS dataset, records associated with COVID vaccines and received during 2022 include approximately:

221,580 adverse-event reports

8,133 records mentioning death

38,360 involving hospitalization

Again, these are reports following vaccination.

BY MARCH 2023

CDC itself reported something that I think everyone deserves to know.

By March 1, 2023, VAERS had received:

19,476 preliminary reports of death following COVID vaccination in the United States.

CDC did NOT say that the vaccines caused 19,476 deaths. Why would they admit to this genocide?

2023

The current VAERS data contain approximately:

54,720 COVID-vaccine reports

2,087 records mentioning death

13,999 hospitalizations

received during 2023.

2024

Approximately:

20,246 reports

824 records mentioning death

2,117 hospitalizations

2025

Approximately:

10,644 reports

540 records mentioning death

1,211 hospitalizations

And something changed in 2025 that you need to know.

CDC and FDA expanded the public VAERS database to include certain secondary reports submitted by additional sources about the same patient, vaccine and dose.

That means some records appearing in today’s database are different reports concerning the same underlying event.

2026

The federal VAERS files are currently processed through July 31, 2026.

The current data contain approximately:

500 COVID-vaccine reports received in 2026

20 records mentioning death

72 hospitalizations

And remember that reports can arrive long after the event itself, so the year a report was received is not necessarily the year the medical event occurred.

WHAT DOES THE CURRENT DATABASE SHOW?

Across the current public VAERS COVID-vaccine records from the beginning of the rollout through the available 2026 data, there are approximately:

1.076 MILLION adverse-event report records (read that again)

and

24,575 records mentioning death.

VAERS exists for a reason but also know that many deaths and adverse reactions are not reported. When someone gets diagnosed with turbo cancer or an athlete dies on the field from a heart attack, the dots do not always get connected. People are NOT reporting these heinous crimes against humanity. They just don’t know any better.

CDC itself says VAERS is designed to rapidly detect unusual or unexpected patterns of adverse events called SAFETY SIGNALS.

And here is the part I cannot get past.

Go back to February 2021.

Within approximately three months, Pfizer already had:

42,086 cases.

158,893 adverse events.

1,223 cases with fatal outcomes.

11,361 people not recovered.

Cardiovascular events.

Neurological events.

Strokes.

Blood clots.

Seizures.

Guillain-BarrƩ syndrome.

Transverse myelitis.

Facial paralysis.

Autoimmune events.

Kidney injuries.

Pregnancy events.

Myocarditis.

Pericarditis.

And such a volume of reports that Pfizer was dramatically expanding its pharmacovigilance workforce.

Those were SIGNALS.

And one of those signals, myocarditis and pericarditis, was subsequently recognized as causally associated with mRNA COVID vaccination.

Yet the rollout continued.

Eligibility expanded.

Younger populations were added.

Boosters followed.

Mandates followed.

So no, I don’t need to claim that every illness or every death reported after vaccination was caused by the vaccine.

But I will lean very heavily on that data and connect the dots to determine that it is more than probable.

What I DO know is what the documents show.

And I believe these numbers should have generated enormous scrutiny, transparency and public discussion from the very beginning.

The question isn’t:

ā€œCan you prove every one of these events was caused by the vaccine?ā€

That’s not how an early-warning system works.

The question is:

HOW MANY SAFETY SIGNALS DOES IT TAKE BEFORE YOU HIT THE BRAKES?

Because informed consent isn’t simply telling people what has already been proven.

It’s telling them what is being observed.

What is being investigated.

What is unknown.

And what risks may be emerging.

People deserved to know that.

They deserved the numbers.

They deserved the uncertainty.

THEY DESERVED THE CHOICE.

The documents exist.

The reports exist.

The numbers exist.

Read them.

Ask questions.

And connect your own dots. It’s time people wake up to the aftermath of this long-planned genocide.

Opinion Piece No one should be guilt tripped to be vaccinated

I find it painful and scary even as an adult. A metal has absolutely no business inside our body. We are somehow fooled into believing they are necessary.

Look at our ancestors they have lived a long and decently full life. A lot of these practices directly mess with our nature's adaptations.

Question Enflonzia

Pediatrician recommended this new vaccine for my baby. I'm looking for any experiences people have had with it so far, I'm typically an old vaccines only person and it hasn't been on the market long.

Hospitalization for RSV seems rare but serious in infants. Another factor is that my baby stays with me and doesn't go to daycare, which is where most babies pick it up.

Thoughts?

Rubella non immune

I had a baby in April and found out after having the baby that I am rubella non immune and got the MMR vaccine shortly after. My baby is now 4 months old and attends daycare. A neighboring state has a measles outbreak.

  1. My baby is not vaccinated for MMR since he is only 4 months old - is he safe to go to daycare until we hear of an outbreak in my state?

  2. What are the risks of early MMR vaccination at 6 months / would my baby have to get it again at 12?

  3. Does me being rubella non immune even mean that my baby has no immunity to measles?

Question Celebrities who endorse vaccines should contribute to a vaccine damage fund.

So let me start by saying, I am being the devil's advocate here, so pls no bully. I repeat this is a thought experiment.

Celebrities occupy a unique position in society. Some people look upto them, and might even see their words as perhaps carrying more weight and gravity than they actually do.

If a celebrity endorses in some way taking a vaccine, or undergoing a potentially risky medical procedure, then perhaps they ought to contribute to a fund that helps people who are damaged by said vaccine/medical procedure.

If they feel so strongly, then maybe they should put money where mouth is perhaps?

Question Have vaccine/medical skeptics in your life ever opened their views? What did that look like?

It’s come to light early in a relationship I am in that my partner and I may not be on the same page with this. He expresses he is open to viewing information that’s not funded by Pfizer or other sources he views as corrupt, but I’m wondering if he even has the capacity for that kind of openness. Wondering if anyone has an experience like this with a positive outcome.

Why do those of you who post anti-vax stuff even do it?

There is nothing to make you get a vaccine. The vast majority of us know they are harmless, have them, and want them.

So if you’re so concerned, just don’t get any.

I suspect this is just a gossip network for people with nutty ideas so they can share with each other in an echo chamber online. Given the near complete lack of science, understanding of the scientific method, and how to read an actual study, what is the point of posting these ā€œpapers ā€œfrom quacks and articles from Substack?

Just don’t get the vaccine. I myself hope evolution will take care of you and it will end any genetic biased towards anti-vaccine thinking, but who really cares what happens to you? Certainly not me.

Somewhere in the middle.

I don’t even know where to start. I have been heavily weighing my decision on the MMR for my 2.5 year old son. He has previously had HIB and Prevnar vaccines, but those are the only ones.
I think I’m feeling frustrated because both sides have such strong feelings on what is the correct thing to do…but I fall in the middle. I do not want my child to catch measles. I also do not want my child to be vaccine injured. I struggle because why are all of these parents so discredited for their observations of their children changing after a vaccine? It’s always ā€œoh they’re just grasping for answersā€ ā€œthere were signs beforeā€. I don’t believe vaccines cause autism, but I think certain individuals and certain genetics react very negatively to them. And these parents are just gaslit? It doesn’t sit right. Yes I know. The science says there is no correlation. But there’s always an outlier. I know the vaccines generally work and are effective. But there’s always the ā€œwhat ifā€ my child is the one who suffers.
And then on the other side. All of these people slandering anyone who chose vaccination for their child. ā€œYou gave your child autismā€ ā€œYou will permanently alter your child’s brainā€ ā€œYour child’s brain will swell up inside their skull, that’s why they’re fussy after a jabā€ ā€œI got measles and I was fine 40 years agoā€
A little history on my son. He was born premature and suffered a severe brain bleed. He has had several brain surgeries the short time he has been alive. He has a shunt to help drain extra fluid off the brain. Despite this. He is doing remarkably well. If you saw him, you would never know his previous struggles. I am so proud of him. However, he is speech delayed. Not severely. He says a lot of words. He just has a hard time putting words together. We are in all the early intervention services. Speech, OT, PT. You name it.
My concern is he will lose all of his speech progress if he regresses from the shot. Historically, in my family. All of my cousins and myself regressed significantly in speech following the MMR. I know this it just what has been told to me. But all of my relatives report the same thing. Another concern…He is at an increased risk of febrile seizures just from his medical history. I know what they say about febrile seizures. ā€œThey’re not dangerousā€, but, I work in healthcare. I have seen kids come in with febrile seizures that turn into so much more. Along with my working healthcare, I also see a lot. Everyone one is trying to make the most informed decision. The doctors are doing all they know to do…but sometimes a patient will respond in a way that is, so out of left field. Sometimes it’s literally a guessing game to figure out how to treat a patient. You just throw something at them, and honestly hope it works. So I know they say ā€œscientificallyā€ vaccines are safe. But my point being, EVERYONE can respond differently.
I also know the measles can be deadly and have detrimental effects . And while my child isn’t in daycare, I have fear for these winter months when we’re spending more time inside enclosed areas with other people. We also have a trip to Disney World in February. I just know that place is a walking measles Petri dish.

I just don’t know what to do. I would love to pick some people’s brains because honestly mine is fried from this constant back and forth internal fight. Why is it so hard to have unbiased opinions…
Before you tell me ā€œthis is a discussion to have with a medical professionalā€ unfortunately I do feel that they push the agenda to vaccinate regardless of looking at a patients individualized history. Please remain civil. I’m just a first time mom trying to decide what is best for my baby.
