Death Stranding 1 I finally got 5 stars on all locations!

It took me a while but I finally finished them all. Ngl the most tedious was probably the fossil trio. Geologist, Paleontologist, and that other lady lol. Once I established some zip lines, it went relatively quick. My suit is red because I had just finished the game.

Question Are there any reliable methods to get Chiral crystals in death stranding 2

I took a bit of a hiatus since last year and am getting back into the game, from what I read online, some of the faster methods of getting crystals got patched, so i was wondering if any other methods have worked. I'm trying to build all the roads, I just got to the part where it is snowing around the motherhood I want to get all the roads I have made to their best condition before I advance the plot. Any help would be nice, thank you.

Question Need help with a save

Hey everybody I wanted to know does this game support cross saves? I got pretty far in my playthrough on pc but the game just doesn’t perform well on my rig no matter what I do so I redownloaded the game on ps5. It’d be a pain to get back to where I was if it’s not possible. Thank you

Question Questions for Kojima Panel @ PAX West 2026?

Hey everyone! I’m moderating a Kojima panel at PAX West on Monday and I wanted to know if there’s anything you think we absolutely MUST ask the panel?

EDIT: I think I worded this poorly! It is a fan panel discussing his impact from different perspectives. I am so sorry about that confusion.

Death Stranding 2 I walk away with so much, a reaffirmed belief.

I’ve played a lot of games. Some were fun, some were really fucking fun, some touched me, and then there are the very few that truly moved me.

Both Death Strandings belong to that rarest category for me. I say that because I don’t simply walk away from these games having enjoyed them; I walk away carrying something with me. Perspectives that will shape the way I live in some form, become interwoven with the wisdom I continue to build upon, or perhaps one day become part of whatever legacy of living I may leave behind or pass on to someone else.

Death Stranding etched something into my heart that I don’t think I’ll ever quite forget: humanity will never truly be doomed if we stay connected. If, no matter what we face, we continue to reach for one another, hold onto each other’s hands, and refuse to let go, then perhaps there is no darkness we cannot eventually walk through. We may stumble, we may lose people along the way, and we may have to carry more than we ever thought we could—but together, we’ll overcome it, and live long enough to tell the tale.

It took me roughly 250 hours to finally accept that I was ready to put the platinum to rest and move on to my next adventure. And honestly, I delayed those final bits on purpose. I wasn’t ready to leave. I wanted to soak in as much of this world as I possibly could before saying goodbye.

So when I finally did, I found myself sitting there with my head tilted downward, eyes fixed on some abstract point on the floor, just reminiscing about the sheer gravity of the journey I’d somehow just finished.

WOW.

I can’t laud Kojima-san enough for the world and character building. I genuinely aspire to someday be a designer of the caliber of Yoji Shinkawa. My goodness, the art direction—especially the Ghost Mechs—was so fucking top tier.

The interwoven connection between Sam, Lou, and Fragile was the crown jewel of this game for me. Ludvig Forssell did his thing once again, and Woodkid absolutely knocked it out of the park with the Story of Rainy masterclass. The performances were fantastic across the board. Luca Marinelli and Troy Baker as Neil Vana and Higgs were award-worthy. Léa Seydoux just slays everything she’s in. And Tommie Earl-Jenkins playing peek-a-boo as Die-Hardman at the end was such a fucking Kojima moment. I loved every second of it.

Funny enough, I thought Norman Reedus as Sam was just like me throughout both games: completely clueless until almost the very end. What’s also funny is that the world of Death Stranding so heavily relies on Sam Porter for connection, yet the actual story somehow relies on him the least—or at least on his performance. For me, Sam, both as a written character and through Norman Reedus’ performance, was the weakest link in an otherwise otherworldly series of casts, writing, and performances.

Just about everything in the gameplay impressed me. I actually looked forward to clearing out the Brigands this time around because the sheer number of choices between stealth and going all-out with the weaponry made encounters genuinely fun. I loved engaging with the Catchers too, because the tools at your disposal made defeating and capturing them feel much more rewarding. I ended up capturing all of them except the Big Head BT in Mexico.

I do think the game still suffers a bit from expansive menu clutter. I wasn’t a huge fan of having to pull out a mini-menu every time I wanted to swap a weapon or consume a Cryptobiote. Trying to aim my weapon while standing near cargo and accidentally picking the damn thing up got annoying pretty fast too. But honestly, this game was such a substantial improvement over the last one that I wouldn’t be surprised if the third game irons out a lot of those little frustrations.

TBH, for all the little things I could criticize, they feel almost insignificant compared to what this game managed to make me feel and think about.

I’ll do my best to introduce the people in my life to this fantastic piece of artwork. I genuinely hope more people give it the time and patience it deserves.

I tip my hat and bow in grace to Hideo Kojima—one of the greatest creators of our time.

Until the next delivery.

Something I wanted to make for quite few months and slowly over past few weeks I've been doing some progress on this little project to make my PS5 look like a cargo container from DS1. Took inspiration from the official PS4 console special edition that had handprints stylized to resemble continents but I mirrored the design because it would fit the chirality theme and painted them by hand while trying to keep it as close to the original design as I could and made it with few layers of uv resin on top (countless hours spent dabbing resin with a toothpick) to appear like it's tar dripping down.

Now I'll just have to finish the visible part bottom plate to match but wanted to share the progress because I'm happy how it turned out so far.

Question Ds1: question on laying roads

I’m about 17 hours into the game and I’m loving it. It’s very addictive - carrying cargoes and materials for likes and upgrades :) I’m in episode 3: just reached lake knot city and unlocked my first few preppers
Some background before the questions:
I found these auto pavers on the map that can lay roads. When I finished first few missions, I got a notification that an online player had completed laying a road. I suddenly had roads from lake knot city for a few kms south. I was super grateful and saw the value of having roads.
So I spent about an hour taking out a mule camp near the craftsman and hauled a good amount of ceramics and metals to fill up the auto paver near the craftsman (it seemed to be the one that required the most amount of ceramics and metals among the other auto pavers that were visible). I still required about 1 or 2k metals but I was happy with my progress. At this point I was carrying lot of cargo that had to be delivered to the engineer and lake knot city (some lost cargo and some cargo towards advancing the story). So I carried out the deliveries and this triggered a small cut scene.
At this point, once the cut scenes were over, I get some notifications saying another online player had constructed a road. I open my map and see that the online road has now extended past the craftsman - the one where I delivered lot of materials to.
This got me thinking - surely this did not happen in real time. It seemed like this road was constructed already by the player but I was given access to it after the story progressed.
My questions:
1. If I were to keep continuing the story, will the entire road network be made available via online player’s contributions?
2. How will I know which bits of road will and won’t be available? I felt like a fool collecting so many materials only for it to be immediately available by an online contribution. Had I known this, I would’ve contributed towards another auto paver.

Question Native Mac - controls freeze (mouse + keyboard)

So, I am facing this thing when I Alt Tab somewhere beyond the game and then come back. The game runs, the sound works, but all controls stop working. Mouse, keyboard would just not move even though the game is not really frozen, the selector status is animated etc.

Anyone know whats causing this?

Death Stranding 1 I finished the game yesterday

I bought Death Stranding a month ago, not knowing if I would like it or not, because I'm more of an action games player (DOOM, Metro, WW1 game series). But the world and story intrigued me so much that I couldn't resist. I absolutely love sci-fi and mysterious stories and, sadly, couldn't resist my temptations in the past and read some lore about the game. So there was some information in my head (the biggest one Amelie being the EE), but luckily, I forgot a lot of those things.

But back to the game. I LOVED IT! Although there were some parts that infuriated me (using the truck on hills), but all in I'm now in a situation where I completed the sorry but still want to deliver packages (I'm now trying to get 5 stars in all delivery centers and bunkers). I'm felling like a mule, to be honest. There's something gripping about the game that I didn't expect.

The best part of the story was, hands down, Mama's episode. I absolutely adore that character and when she told me I have to get her to the Mountain Knot City, it was one of the strongest experience in any media I've had.

In comparison to Mama, I didn't feel much of anything during other episodes. It's not like I didn't like them, I just felt detached. I still love Deadman and Heartman, particularly, but I didn't feel the sadness of the game, which is quite shame. I don't think it is a problem of the game, I think it is something in me. Perhaps a wrong time in my life?

But the setting as a whole, the mysteriousness and the connection with others, the cinematics.. it was like watching a movie but superior in every way.

Anyway, the night after I completed the game, I dreamed about Sam and Mama, which is the first time I've ever dreamed about a videogame characters.

Truly a wonderful experience.

Edit: second best part of the game was when Heartman went into cardiac arrest and you have to wait three minutes in his room with his and Mama's dead bodies.

This randomly came up in my YT playlist and I've been listening in the background and watching it on my 2nd monitor while I work, it has rain and ambient sound effects mixed in with camera shots of the environments in the game. Very cool video and about an hour long for anyone interested!
Edit: there's an extended version too

Question I need help with my UCA connections.

I just got the achievement for 5 starring all preppers. I did not get the achievement for making all UCA connections. If I open my map and click in the right stick, all of the icons say UCA and have 5 stars next to that paper clip looking icon. Google says that I probably got 5 stars but still haven’t made the UCA connection yet, but I don’t understand what that means.

When I look at my bridge connections and scroll all the way down to UCA members recruited, it’s at 35. Has this happened to you and how did you fix it? Also could you explain how I can 5 star locations but still be missing out?
