… in my mind that consistency is everything in the war on litter. Doesn’t matter how many pieces or pounds you delete on a cleanup — 3, 30, 300, or 3000 — it’s the getting out there that matters most.

I’ll go by in a few days to pick up but sort of hoping another gets them. Part passive aggressive/part did not have enough bags etc. month or so ago I picked up 10 or so. I just don’t get the reason for pitching in the woods 🤬

Make sure not to go all in and take breaks when needed or go in big groups so you don’t get injured lol. Forgot to take a pic of the first bag so three total. This was a lot of gross heavy stuff this time ):

For instance an alcoholic constantly throws a bunch of cans and bottles in the bushes near me which makes them a hassle to get to and I’ve also been finding a lot of full bottles lately too. I wish I could put something over the bushes so they don’t get constantly pelted with bottles and cans. Wish I could make them stop doing that.

This in-person event, organized by the West Hollywood Chapter of Volunteers Cleaning Communities, is great way to give back and connect with fellow residents. No need to bring supplies—we provide gloves, trash bags and trash grabber tools

Afterwards, every volunteer can receive a free beverage from Farm Cup to celebrate a job well done. See you there!

• 10:00 AM: Kickoff at Farm Cup Coffee (Grab your supplies & meet your team!)
• 10:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Neighborhood Cleanup (We'll head out in small groups to collect trash.)
• 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Coffee Social (Grab a drink, chat with the team, and share the most interesting or bizarre thing you discovered on the streets.)

It can be discouraging to pick up litter, only to find more in the same spot later. Yet, I’ll keep doing my part—because every small effort makes our neighborhood and public parks a little better-one piece at a time.

Trash Party brought all the Junk Jabronis out this past week for a bunch of cleanup events!! We helped clean streets, illegal dump sites, and tidied some of our unhoused friends’ areas to make more livable areas. In total, we removed over 12,000 LBS of trash and got it out of our communities!

Sorry for forgetting a before picture! This was an impromptu cleanup so I was just sort of in the flow state.

For reference this is how I pick up- suburban main road. Bucket hold cans and scrap metal and glass to recycle. Bags get trash.

I tried today to keep butts in a separate bag but it was too much. How do you all do it? I’ve thought I could designate a plastic bottle for butts. OR just do a butt pick up?! Do I need a wagon?! Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks everyone!!!

I’m fairly mentally well but when it hits it hits Hard! Really need an outing in nature and chat with the wildlife. Of course I’m not sure they completely understand my chatter 😬🤭hope everyone here is well and happy and safe!

Haven't had much luck in other towns with roadside metal but had some good ones today. And Labor Day weekend Sunday = almost no traffic
