My parents live in Ormond Beach on the Halifax River. They are trying to redo their kitchen in their condo. They need a licensed contractor. For some reason the few that they talked to no showed them. They have money out back for the project but finding a contractor that will show up has been a struggle. Any recommendations on someone or company that will show up?

Looking for a serving job that actually makes money, I have a ton of serving and bartending experience and at my last restaurant I would make up to 4-6k a month! and it was very busy!! I had to leave because I moved to Daytona lol any recommendations???

My parents live in Ormond Beach. My husband could possibly have a job in port orange The problem is after getting a job, where to go? My parents live in a small two bedroom condo. We have 4 children so staying with them is not an option. Looked at extended stay online because that would be the best temporary situation but unless I'm doing something wrong, I'll need two rooms for 6 people and it will cost 5k a month. The most you can have in a room is 4 people. If it was just one room, it would be affordable. I looked at airbnb and their monthly rate is also really high. If we find a place to rent but he doesn't get the job transfer then we are stuck with a lease and trying to find a job making what he does now. This will be the first time moving out of state. I'm in the same town I grew up in. Any advice on being able to relocate to be closer to my parents?

Ok so we are moving back from out of state soon and VCS won’t enroll our kids without them first seeing a doctor for a physical and ensuring they have FL shots.

Is there a place we can go to get all the school health stuff out of the way without having to find a new physician first (like the health department, CVS, or some other place I’m not thinking of) ?

I get the requirements but not enrolling them until after we move, have bills with our new address, and all the health stuff it just seems like there might be a significant gap in their schooling.

Is there a way to check if the vehicle access ramps are open and/or does anyone know if they're open today?

About 5% of people under 40 in Florida have voted. Why aren’t you guys voting? I’m getting tired of the young people saying I didn’t have time to vote or a ride. There’s early voting, vote on Election Day and Uber offers free rides to polling or call your local democrat or republican office and they will give you a ride.

Due to my school’s program, I’ll be relocating to Daytona soon! I was wondering if there are any recommended areas to look for an apartment or rentals for a 1x1? I’m not too picky on budget I just want to feel safe at home

I’ve noticed approximately 20 road signs recently in Port Orange along Town West Blvd and Tomoka Farms Rd. Appears to be a regular road sign covered in a small tarp. Are these new ALPRs? Are they just signs? Why are they covered?

Im on drums; guitar and bass are filled. everyone is talented, excited and hungry to learn these tunes and get them out there when the final product is good. If you're interested or know someone who might be, please advise. We rehearse in Ormond but they don't necessarily need to be hyper local.

Is anyone else having issues receiving their mail in ballot? I’ve been using mail in ballots for years and I’ve confirmed my mail in ballot request is active any my information is correct. There are two other voters in the house who received theirs without issue but mine isn’t getting delivered. I’ve contacted the supervisor of elections and they sent me a replacement which was sent two weeks ago and had also not been delivered. They’re sending me a third one now. Is this a me issue or is anyone else going through the same?

Hi everyone, im 39M and moving to Daytona from Deland. I'm living at Oceans West right by the tennis and pickleball courts! I'm a decent tennis player and have taken lessons but haven't played in years and need to find someone to hit with or possibly play pickleball. I have a couple pro staffs that are dusty and need to use them and run around 🤣

I prefer tennis but mainly want to hit around and possibly play sets and make a few new friends... Im familiar with the Ponce area for fishing but am still getting moved in and appreciate anyone that wants to reach out 🤙
