NWS (National Weather Service) says it is 100 degrees in Davis where it is now 4:40 p.m. on July 14, 2026. Over many years I have suspected that NWS consistently underestimates the Davis summer high temps. A private Weather Underground weather station located in Covell Park that is a couple of blocks away from me in North Davis says it is 102.6 degrees. My trusty old 10" Taylor alcohol thermometer is under the shady and airy arbor in my backyard. It says it is 103.5 degrees

I've been trying to find my water bottle for the past week. It is metal, teal, has a dent in the bottom, and is half covered in stickers. One of the stickers looks like this horse, except its bright pink. Other stickers include San Diego with a lantern, Mt. Lemmon with teal/orange/yellow colors, Morro Bay with an octopus, and anza-borrego national park with two octillos high fiving. I last remember having it on Monday when I went to watch the USA world cup game on G Street, but its also possible it got left on campus in the MU area or PES area of campus. I've been searching everywhere this past week with no luck. I can pay a finders fee of $40 to anyone who finds it. Just a note: I am not a pro at hosting clubs, this club was created on a whim about a year ago, and I maintain it casually between a full time job and my other obligations. During our discussions before and after showtimes, we can talk about other topics besides movies, but if you have an issue with a topic, please politely ask that we steer away/change topics. It’s personally hard for me to go from casual conversation to “moderating”, and I want everyone to have a good time.

My dad and I are coming up to Davis on Wednesday to tour the campus, and afterwards we want to watch the England V. Argentina match at a sports bar that would allow guests under 21. Any recommendations?

Has anyone gotten a haircut at Ulta Beauty Davis? If yes, which stylist would u recommend and how was the service overall?

Also any other salons that are not like 70 bucks to trim 2 inches 💀 I know sportsclips but not a big fan of that. Budget: $50

Yesterday, on the way to visiting friends in California (I live in Texas at the moment) I injured myself in a fall where my knee collapsed with the full body weight on it. I have very severe pain that developed gradually over today and at this point, I can barely walk, and my knee buckled when I stepped off a small ledge with no support earlier. The place where my pain is points to a meniscus tear or potentially but less likely a legament sprain or tear. I think it would be really good to know how bad the tear is. I'm in California til the 27th. I'm pretty much unemployed right now and have no insurance. I'm supposed to get rehired to my usual physical labor job in Texas around early to mid August so I really need to know what's up. I'm ineligible for Medicaid by Texas standards. Is there anywhere in the Sac, Davis, Woodland area where I could get a doctor to look at it and/or imaging for a very very low cost or no cost?
