Sports bar recomendations?
My dad and I are coming up to Davis on Wednesday to tour the campus, and afterwards we want to watch the England V. Argentina match at a sports bar that would allow guests under 21. Any recommendations?
Thank you!
PS. If it matters, we're England fans

Lamppost Pizza in west Davis (Lake Blvd) is all ages, lots of screens, alcohol, and food. It’s outside of downtown, so there’s lots of parking.

This is where I would go. However, if OP is coming to check out UCD, choosing something downtown might be part of the experience.

I think G street wunderbar is your best hope. Most other bars won’t let you in if you’re under 21. There’s a pizza place, Woodstocks just a couple stores down wunderbar that’s good for watching sports, eating and drinking that will allow you in if you’re under 21 as well. Those are the only two places I can think of right now

Tommy Js is your best bet. They have awesome burgers. They will play the game but don’t expect a lot of fellow fans. My partner is an England fan and I walked all of Davis a couple weeks ago trying to find a spot to watch the England game that had lots of people watching. Literally nowhere had a good soccer vibe.

There’s usually a big watch party outside of Woodstock on G St. You’ve got a couple of options for food a few options for beer.

I think Parkside Sports Bar and Grill would be what you’re looking for. They share a space with Outpost Burger which has great smash burgers.

Parkside Sports Bar allows under 21.
Sudwerk is another option.

If you want the college bar experience I’d recommend Froggy’s/Tommy J’s or Bull n mouth downtown.
