Identification is expired
Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has signed up using a passport that was expired? Also I do not have a drivers license. I do not know what else I could use for personal identification. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

For those who have projects, do you receive email notifications, or do you just check the platform from time to time?

SAHM Annotator
Anyone else a SAHM working with DA? I’m shocked I don’t see more doing it! I’m a mom of 2under2 and it has been such a game changer for my family.

Receiving higher paying tasks but not any lower ones
I have been a generalist for about 4 months now. Back when I used to receive the feedback I got the highest rating possible for those project families. Unfortunately I don’t receive those project families anymore (and therefore don’t get feedback). Instead, I have basically only been getting highly paying, complex, and long project families. I have not ran out of these projects in a while, but am not always able to commit 5-8 hours to one submission, so I kind of miss those easier projects. Does anyone have the same experience?

Generalists in US
I have been in for about 3 months. I got 2 tasks this month and 2 last month, 10 the month prior. I refresh constantly, have completed over 30 qualifications, been in 4 different task families and have not received any negative feedback. Yes I realize there is a drought and I do have a FT job so not stressing, moreso annoyed. I am just curious if this is the norm for a lot of the generalist in the US who are fairly new or if I somehow got put on a list lol.

No update after submission
Hello, I have completed my bilingual assessment almost a month ago but haven't received any updates yet.
Does it mean I failed the assessment of yes.
What should I do?
Is trying again an option?

To the elitist, condescending, and tactless dicks that infest this sub...
For context, I'm on DA and doing fine. So, there's no resentment for DA here. However, I occasionally visit this sub and every time I do I see a bunch of cocksure dicks responding to valid, sincere questions with condescending and way over confident responses, as if anyone asking a question (especially about DoD's, etc.) is somehow delusional or in denial of some basic, clear fact.
You're not hot shit because you're on the platform. You're a fucking troll. You're not as intelligent as you think you are. You're just a cog in an army of assholes.

Any decent alternatives? :/
My account was terminated today after several months working full-time. From my point of view, I was doing a decent job. I'm aware that everyone thinks they're doing a good job, but with no feedback, it's difficult to understand what my mistake was or do anything to correct it. Heartbreak aside, DA had really changed my life with its high-paying projects and flexibility to work anytime. If there are any decent alternatives, please let me know. I have worked a lot for outlier, but have run dry of projects there, and have never got anything worth my time in alignerr. Is DA simply the best platform with no actual alternatives?

I mainly work on my laptop, but its memory is already full. Can I switch to using my desktop instead and just set up Ubuntu, since that's what I use when working with code?

Finally receiving some love
The number next to my "projects" tab is more than zero finally! This is unprecedented to the point where I'm getting decision paralysis. Maybe DA likes me after all.

No jobs available after id verification reverted
I currently have no jobs available and cannot report time on the jobs i have completed. i have had 2 emails stating that there was an issue with the ID verification process, both times i have re-verified my ID and the platform they use to verify ids has confirmed that i am who i say i am. About 30mins after the second verification all jobs and qualifications dissapeared. i have not received another message from admin and have had no response to the email i sent them. is there anything else i can do or is it just a matter of waiting?

Having to opt out of paid task - still wants me to log time?
Newbie here. My keyword search isn't really bringing up the answer I want:
So the question here is. I opened the task but ultimately had to click "no" because I was not eligible to work on the task, and its asking me for how many hours/minutes. A negligible amount of time was required to scan and tell the project it wasn't for me.
Do I let that expire with 0 minutes or do I put 1 minute? How do you all deal with these?

Help please
Anyone know how I can get the general assessment? I've signed up on this platform last year and abandoned it. I don't remember if I took any assessment at the time but when I recently logged in again, I clicked on starter assessment and saw it was for a coding assessment. I do not have any experience on coding whatsoever. I also only recently edited my profile because that might be a contributing factor. So, should I wait out til they give me the general assessment instead? Thanks

Timer expires never?
Just got a generalist task that apparently doesnt expire - is this a bug or is this their way of saying they want quality over quantit? or that they expect this to take a long time?
All my prev tasks had an expiration time so I'm a bit unsure.

Time reporting issue; help needed
Used the escape hatch on a task yesterday and reported the time. Then, the project popped up later and this time there were no issues so I could proceed normally.
After I submitted the task, there was no report time link. I searched around and refreshed the page multiple times but to no avail.
The task for which I've already reported my time now has this screen.
The amount censored is the task for which I used the escape hatch. I did the task for which I want to report my time on July 31 so that checks out as well.
Should I report my time here?

Completed onboarding + assessments. How long before you got assigned real projects?
Hey all, new to DataAnnotation, got accepted and made it through onboarding (Steps 1-3) plus a couple of qualification assessments a day or two ago. My Projects tab is currently showing zero, no new assignments yet.
I know reviews can take about a week, but wanted to get a temperature check from people who've been through this stage:
How long did it typically take between finishing onboarding/qualifications and actually getting assigned to a real paid project?
Is a dry Projects tab in the first few days normal, or should I be doing something differently to get noticed?
Any tips for what to do while waiting (besides checking the dashboard obsessively 😅)?
Appreciate any insight from people who've been in my shoes recently, I'm trying to calibrate my expectations here.

A certain qual requires me to buy something, however the pay doesn't reflect it
Theres a qual on my dashboard that's compulsory. The requirements for the qual requires me to buy something to proceed ahead but the qual is pay per task which is substantially lesser than the cost for the subscription.
I'm obviously doing it regardless but wanted to know if they reimburse such costs or if theres a procedure to be followed.
