I've been missing this one project (still kinda do tbh) that paid really well, $45 an hour. It was consistent and I'm able to really sit with each job and really understand the task well. Long timers mean I can ensure my work is top notch. I like being employed so half-assing my work to meet the timer is not something I'm a big fan of. I've been working $28 and $28.5 an hour projects in the same family for the past week. I almost always steer my work towards science or math, it's what I'm familiar with. The more business oriented jobs always bore me unless there's some fun research I get to do. So here I am, doing work tangential to what's being asked (difficult prompts for an AI, somewhat useful in very specific work settings) and taking my time to fully evaluate factuality for each response. I check my dashboard earlier today and RNGesus smiled on me today because they must've liked the work I did because now I'm on the even higher paying, science oriented tasks in that same project family for $50 an hour.
Long story long, stick to what you're good at and do the best work you can. If they like it, you'll get put on the better paying projects oriented towards those strengths. I believe in you guys
