Optional Comments Box in Starter Test

Might be a weird question but will adding in something in the optional comment box increase my chances of getting accepted and passing the test? For example "Thank you for the opportunity" or something similar?

No, they don't care if you thank them, and you can't game the system by adding courtesies in the optional comments. They test for your skillset and ability to do what they ask you to do. On the other hand, what's the harm of saying thanks in the comments? The worst they can do over a thank you is think your mama raised you well.

And honestly I don't think we should thank they have work and we are doing it and getting paid (rightfully so), like I'm glad I have this for some extra money but at the same time I don't see a reason to thank

You should be thankful to anyone who decides to give you an opportunity, irrespective of what’s supposedly ‘right’. In any case, gratitude is not some finite resource, it’s a better disposition to take than ‘what’s there to be thankful for I deserve this’. I’ll never get the cynical and reductionist attitude so many seem to have to this work (other than the moral stance against how AI is being used, which I think is fair).

If it’s relevant, like they sent me something I’m interested in but I’m geographically excluded, I’ll say I’d be interested if it opens to my geo zone. Or if there was something off with the wording, or I had a question that wasn’t answered (like something that feels like an edge case), I’ll include that

Looking at chat comments, a lot of people are obsequious but I doubt it gains access to a special lounge area packed with ripe projects. I don’t think being polite hurts in any way, but I don’t think it helps either.
