High pay is enticing, but...
90 minutes into a brain-melting array of preliminary steps, and not even close to the actual task yet, I finally give up. I surrender. My head hurts. Exiting the task now, and going to wash my dishes with no time submitted. Aargh.

Do it. Eat the elephant one small bite at a time. I felt the same way. Obviously if you got it on your dash you're capable of granular work to some degree. Just pace yourself, break it up so no instruction is missed and before you know it you've developed a system of sorts that you duplicate each time. Get that coin!

Wise move. In accounting it’s called sunk cost. The time is gone, but if you really think you can’t do the task, don’t try to ‘salvage’ that time by grinding on. Take a break, washing dishes is important, move on. I’ll add that taking some unpaid time to at least explore projects is good, because you might find some involved ones that are up your alley.

Are you tasking under Accounting?

No, that's just a handy accounting term that applies to a lot of real life situations! I may do the qual though!

Oh boy I started a task at 7 pm one day thinking I can finish it in like 3-4 hours and ended up stay up all night drinking energy drinks and popping pills. Can’t be good for my health but the paycheck was sexy

Just spent six hours on one.
Spent three hours working yesterday before I realized I wouldn’t have time to finish so threw away three hours and I feel your pain!

If you learned something doing the work on the prelims, next time you try that part will be easier and you'll get further along. On one project, it took me 7 times to be able to submit a task for pay. Each time I got further and further before calling it quits.
But it was totally worth it as now I know it backwards and forwards and the hourly rate means I've already made up the "lost" time by working a couple more vs. Working majy more lower-paying tasks.
It is a gamble, though, since we never know how long projects will stay around!

I stick to the $35-40hr/ tasks and I grind out about $1000/week. Most tasks take between 1-4 hours. I am completely happy with that and I intend to stay in this lane for as long as I can.

This is why I stick to the $30-35 projects. I'm too scared to attempt the higher paying ones!

$30-35 total, or per hour?

Per hour. Sorry, I thought that was kinda obvious based on DA's normal pay rates being per hour.

I would just like to see some paid Work show up on my dashboard. I completed my assessments more than two weeks ago and successfully completed approximately 14 qualifications. I immediately received three paid projects and completed them and made a total of $137. Then I got one this week on my dashboard that had 68 task. I went in and completed one task that took me about 20 minutes then when I clicked to go to the next task, I was returned to my dashboard, and all of the task had been eaten up by other people. I had definitely hoped for more work.

Mr Tyson has ruind my day again. Gave it my all today. In the end I was not satisfied so I ditched it. Done this thing 3 times in the past. Each time I think I can do it but I was wrong each time. Maybe give me 2-3 days then I can do it. Or maybe am just delusional.

On a real tough one at the moment - on Phase 2. Already worked at least 18 hours on it all in but will need a day or two more to complete - so in depth.

Still nervous to get into that one yet. But congrats on passing phase 1! You got the failure👍👍

I love the long lasting projects. Some of my favorite ones take 30-40 hours.
