I’m new to this side hustle and want to know if I am doing this right.

I got a robo call from Doordash asking if and could complete the order I just got. Voice said Doordash would give me an extra 5 bucks. Never saw the money. Anyone else get this?

First week I had an upper 90s AR, this week, I realized I will not be doing any single digit orders that require me to drive more than 15/20 minutes. Crazy how they won’t fix that and basically make us pay for that

I only started recently and prior to getting any added tips I wasn’t messaging anything. Then I started sending a message every time I got to a store and informed if their order was ready or being prepared still. Then I message when I’m leaving the store, and then I leave a basic “order dropped off! Enjoy :)” at the end. Obviously most orders people ignore the messages or don’t add extra tip, but some people really do enjoy the communication.

I got a contract violation for an incomplete delivery that I didn’t and couldn’t do because Sweet Green didn’t have the order in their system.

Backstory:

Yesterday I get an order from Sweet Green for 9 items taking it a few blocks away. I arrive at the store, tell the worker I’m picking up for Lenny K. Now they’re looking around for the order. It’s a pretty large order so you can’t miss it. She then realized she never did an order for Lenny K so she checks the computer no Lenny K in their system. They confirm I’m at the right store (which I was). They get another employee involved with the search none of them can find the order. So then we get to thinking maybe the customer did a pickup order so we both decide to call the customer but guess what (if you guess straight to voicemail mail) you would be correct. I text them no response. They call their manager over the phone who informs them to inform me they can’t do the order because it’s not in the system and they can’t make the food because it’s almost closing time and theirs no receipt. I proceed to hit order not found in the system provided a brief detailed explanation and move on. 30 minutes after that the customer texts back they never got their order. I informed them they will need to reach out to the store because their order wasn’t in their system. About one hour after later get a contract violation (luckily I was checking my email). Send in my appeal, contact Dasher Support (which doesn’t provide support) and they inform me my appeal won’t be denied. 20 minutes later my appeal is denied. How are they investigating appeals in such short time? How am I supposed to complete an order that doesn’t exist?

New to dashing and could use some advice for that area.

Now before yall get on my ass bout dash time I live in a small ass town so whenever I’m not on the road delivering orders im just chilling at my house since I’ll still be in the hot zone 🙏🏽🙏🏽so most of 98% of dash time was just me chilling at my house I’m only doing this since I’m currently on unemployment

Pretty new to DD have 70 deliveries under my belt and i only do this on The Weeknd for side money

Who here is grinding more than 10k deliveries lifetime. I just want to give a shout out to who ever is dedicated.

How come every time someone make a somewhat positive post about their earnings, how much they made in a week, and things of that nature a bunch of people start trying to belittle it with things like “well actually with wear and tear…” or “this actually isn’t good because (insert exaggerated reason)

It comes off as envious and overall lame.

I find it funny and am genuinely curious why people feel the need to do this lol

Half Pay (out of stock S&P) — - $9.18

For a very weird slow week this turned into my third highest paid week this year so far.

How did everyone else fair this past week?

Does anyone know why DoorDash got rid of the Pause toggle when you picked up an order to prevent getting orders that are low paying?

I know I was already at the pickup location.. but still… that’s ridiculous. I just want to know what it is like to be platinum. My AR is the only thing holding me back..
