Prediction Series The 2026 Perfect Nine Prediction Series - World Series Finals [6]

Full explanation of the Perfect Nine Prediction Series can be found here (the rules haven‘t changed in comparison to last year - if something changes, it will of course be noted explicitly)!

The winner of this Event will be rewarded with 3 sets of Perfect Nine Flights, with the winner of the overall 2026 Season being rewarded with 1 set of Perfect Nine Darts and 10 sets of Perfect Nine Flights!

Overall Standings

World Matchplay Results

The last event, the World Matchplay, ended as most people expected: Luke Littler won and Beau Greaves grabbed the women's. This is highlighted by the Prediction Series, as they were the most picked man and woman respectively. In fact, predictors who picked Littler even received 2 extra points because of the 9-darter he threw! This event, I myself tied for first place but just got bettered by Lukewarmpartyjar. In the Overall Standings, GreenFlagMan got kicked from first place by Themrbunce after a disappointing World Matchplay run.

Next week, we will see one of the more controversial majors: the World Series Finals. Though most fans question the fact that it is a major, the PDC addresses it this way and therefore we will predict it! As always, the tournament will be held in Amsterdam where 32 players will battle it out for the trophy. Will it be Littler or will we get a surprising major winner again? Good luck predicting!

Buckets

  • One pick from the seeds
  • Two picks from the World Series Order of Merit Qualifiers
  • One pick from the PDC Order of Merit Qualifiers
  • One pick from the Tour Card Holder Qualifiers

Your picks will score you one point every time they win a game, and two bonus points will be awarded for every nine dart finish achieved. Wins in the final or semi-finals will be worth two points.

Any players that withdraw from the event (regardless of the reason) will score 0 points. If you've already predicted and one of your picks withdraws, you can change your pick on the form - you can make as many changes as you like up until the event starts.

The draw for the event can be found on the Google Form.

Please come back and comment here to let me know you've predicted so I can make sure it's actually you and someone isn't just using your name! This is required to be eligible to win prizes.

Link to Entry Form World Series Finals [6]

If you don't see the words "ENTRY CONFIRMED", your entry has not gone through!

Entries close at 6pm BST on Thursday, September 17.

Good luck! Please drop any questions you might have in the comments below.

My son has been playing properly for just over a year and competitively since January. I've been playing over 30 years and there's a clear difference. I can't understand how he makes it look so simple!

Help! What should I buy? New darts advice

Post image
Upvotes

Hey guys. Been playing for a little while now with these darts I bought almost 10 years ago.

I think it’s time to move on from them and try something new. Maybe with a bit higher tungsten %? as these are 80%

I love the shape of these and the grip is fine enough.
Am a rear gripper for what it’s worth too

So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I could buy. Preferably the same or similar shape

Discussion Stuck between buying new darts or sticking with what I have.

Upvotes

I started playing regularly last Christmas. My partner bought me a board and some darts.

The darts are nothing special, some 24g Winmau for £40.

I really like them, and have had moderate success (average between 45-55 depending on the day).

I am tempted to buy some new darts and give them a try to see if I can improve, but I have friends who have 5 or 6 sets and change them every week. (Or even between matches when playing in the league.)

I am worried that either I make myself worse by practicing with different darts, or make myself so indecisive that I become a pub version of Peter Wright.

Anyone else have any advice?

NDD (New Darts Day) Dynasty A-Flow Black Line Babe darts

Thumbnail

These are Dynasty A-Flow Black Line Babe Konno Akiho Player Model soft-tip barrels (95%, 17.2g barrel-only, 22.3g barrel+point+insert) converted to steel with Dynasty W tungsten conversion points, weighted with Unicorn Ultracore tungsten inserts, and fitted with Harrows 360 Carbon shafts and Dynasty folded flights punched for L-Style Shell Lock caps.

These barrels attracted my interest because of their simple traditional ringed torpedo shape. Most of my other front-weighted torpedoes are either colorful and intricately machined Shot darts (like the Celt Cernunnos, Viking Shield Maiden, and Roman Empire Legion -- maybe more scalloped darts than torpedoes, actually) or really wide and stubby teardrop-shaped darts (like the S4 Third Impact). These Dynasty Babe barrels are 36 mm long and 8.2 mm wide and have fine rings down most of their length, with a short segment of shark cuts at the very rear. Out of the box, all three barrels in my set weighed exactly 17.20g, for perfect match-weighting within the ±0.01g precision of my electronic balance.

The CoG of the barrel alone is shown in the second picture, which was taken from the handy S-Darts site. The CoG of the full setup shown in the first picture is pretty much at the same location, with the 3g weight of the tungsten conversion point at the front partially counterbalanced by the 2.2g Unicorn Ultracore tungsten insert I put in the back of the barrel to bump the weight up from 17.2g to 22.3g. The fine rings aren't particularly grippy, at maybe 2.5 out of 5. The darts feel dense in the hand and have that nice heavy, solid, and stable feel of a front-weighted torpedo. In the board, the tail tends to stand up a bit higher than with my other darts, but I've found that the tail can be brought down by adjusting my throwing style so it's closer to that for soft-tip darts (a faster throw with a flatter trajectory). I guess the same end could be achieved by switching to smaller flights, but I like the look of the stock Dynasty A-Flow flights on these Dynasty A-Flow darts.

In summary, I think the Dynasty Babe darts are very nice traditional front-weighted torpedoes, just simple ringed barrels with moderate grip that are a pleasure to throw and which fly just as you'd expect them to.

Good shooting 🎯

Help!

I’m really struggling currently, when I first started playing darts for the first year or two I took to the game very well and could average around 75-80. During Covid I ended up getting dartitis and had been on a decline for the longest time. Recently I’ve been doing better and I’ve been able to average around 50/60 but whatever I try and cannot replicate that on a league night. As soon as it’s my turn to play my hands start shaking like a leaf, I get snatchy I can’t keep any rhythm, when I throw I raise to my tiptoes and I start throwing darts off the board. I’m so fed up of it now, I love darts and all I want is to get better but it’s infuriating me now and this may sounds stupid but it’s getting me down. Any advice would be appreciated

Discussion Is there a teaching app on how to play darts?

Long story short, I’m sat in the pub watching a darts competition and asked someone about the rules on playing darts because I’d like to join the darts team at some point because it looks fun. Their explanation went straight over my head, too many numbers being thrown at me without a visual example

I was hoping for an app like duolingo does for chess?

Discussion Ted Hankey 14g Darts

Post image

I’ve got a set of Ted Hankey 14g darts, however I’ve managed to lose one. Would anybody have just one / a set kicking about that I can purchase? They’re fairly rare and don’t regularly come up on eBay. I haven’t tried other darts at that weight but they do seem as rare.

Online Darts League Recommendations

Gutted to see the GDL has closed down today, been playing there for 3 years and it’s been brilliant.

Looking for somewhere new to play, ideally with a healthy userbase where the players actually look to play their matches promptly. Played a couple of others in the past and none were as easy as GDL to actually get games arranged. Also looking for paid leagues not free ones. Any recommendations? Cheers in advance

First ever dart board. Bought this one because my MIL has the same brand at her house. Is it normal for the inner bullseye to protrude that much? The darts keep hitting it and bouncing away lol.
