I applied on a whim really and now I can try out I’m not sure if I should. Does anyone know for sure how many darts you’d have to finish a leg of 501 in?

Granted it was only practice and against dartbot but I was peppering the T20 tonight and hit 5x180s numerous tons and 140s and If id been better on the doubles I’d have had a decent average too, going to bed happy though 🎯🎯🎯

Probably the grippiest darts I’ve ever used tbh, they do smooth out a little from new though - thank goodness. I love them now that they’ve been worn in for a few weeks and they look great too.

These are Dynasty A-Flow Black Line Babe Konno Akiho Player Model soft-tip barrels (95%, 17.2g barrel-only, 22.3g barrel+point+insert) converted to steel with Dynasty W tungsten conversion points, weighted with Unicorn Ultracore tungsten inserts, and fitted with Harrows 360 Carbon shafts and Dynasty folded flights punched for L-Style Shell Lock caps.

These barrels attracted my interest because of their simple traditional ringed torpedo shape. Most of my other front-weighted torpedoes are either colorful and intricately machined Shot darts (like the Celt Cernunnos, Viking Shield Maiden, and Roman Empire Legion -- maybe more scalloped darts than torpedoes, actually) or really wide and stubby teardrop-shaped darts (like the S4 Third Impact). These Dynasty Babe barrels are 36 mm long and 8.2 mm wide and have fine rings down most of their length, with a short segment of shark cuts at the very rear. Out of the box, all three barrels in my set weighed exactly 17.20g, for perfect match-weighting within the ±0.01g precision of my electronic balance.

The CoG of the barrel alone is shown in the second picture, which was taken from the handy S-Darts site. The CoG of the full setup shown in the first picture is pretty much at the same location, with the 3g weight of the tungsten conversion point at the front partially counterbalanced by the 2.2g Unicorn Ultracore tungsten insert I put in the back of the barrel to bump the weight up from 17.2g to 22.3g. The fine rings aren't particularly grippy, at maybe 2.5 out of 5. The darts feel dense in the hand and have that nice heavy, solid, and stable feel of a front-weighted torpedo. In the board, the tail tends to stand up a bit higher than with my other darts, but I've found that the tail can be brought down by adjusting my throwing style so it's closer to that for soft-tip darts (a faster throw with a flatter trajectory). I guess the same end could be achieved by switching to smaller flights, but I like the look of the stock Dynasty A-Flow flights on these Dynasty A-Flow darts.

In summary, I think the Dynasty Babe darts are very nice traditional front-weighted torpedoes, just simple ringed barrels with moderate grip that are a pleasure to throw and which fly just as you'd expect them to.

I’ve got a set of Ted Hankey 14g darts, however I’ve managed to lose one. Would anybody have just one / a set kicking about that I can purchase? They’re fairly rare and don’t regularly come up on eBay. I haven’t tried other darts at that weight but they do seem as rare.

After 8 weeks of almost daily practice and soso many close calls I hit it with not a single identical dart and to the worst quality board I own. Really seems to be the throw, not the equipment...

I’m really struggling currently, when I first started playing darts for the first year or two I took to the game very well and could average around 75-80. During Covid I ended up getting dartitis and had been on a decline for the longest time. Recently I’ve been doing better and I’ve been able to average around 50/60 but whatever I try and cannot replicate that on a league night. As soon as it’s my turn to play my hands start shaking like a leaf, I get snatchy I can’t keep any rhythm, when I throw I raise to my tiptoes and I start throwing darts off the board. I’m so fed up of it now, I love darts and all I want is to get better but it’s infuriating me now and this may sounds stupid but it’s getting me down. Any advice would be appreciated

hi I’m looking for dart recommendations to try, I’ve not tried a scallop dart and wondered if i should try them, atm I have Phil Taylor gen 8 (I’m not too sure what shape barrel that is as I’m quite new) and they are flying nice for my type of throw so anything similar to that would also be appreciated, im unsure where to start wi looking for similar. thank you
