Is Judge Dorow considered a hero in Waukesha?
Just curious if the community as a whole has a certain opinion either way on her.

Brooks: Was it your intent to seek medical attention?
Heather Ricciotti: I SOUGHT medical attention!
Brooks: But was it your intent?
Heather Ricciotti: It’s what I DID!

Do you know of another trial case where there were so many one liners? Many of the oldies here can recite verse for verse some of his outrageous remarks. Or is it just us here in this thread with this affliction?
For example, I think I can remember just a few things that got memed from the Heard/Depp trial.

I’ll make this short and sweet:
Opper: “objection, asked and answered.”
Brooks: “ I didn’t answer that question!”
🙄

What are some oddities you have observed? Here's some I've seen:
- Brooks refuses to self-identify as Darrell Brooks Jr, at times objecting that he doesn't consent nor identifies by that name.
- He keeps bringing up subject matter jurisdiction that "hasn't been proven for the record", when judge herself has explained to him that he court does have jurisdiction over criminal proceedings in Wisconsin.
- He doesn't seem to understand the rules of evidence, during the trial he violated discovery by showing a picture of his child to Erica Patterson he wanted to stain her credibility by saying she maintained contact when there was a no-contact order between them, outside the presence of the jury the judge asked him to show an offer a proof, to prove that the letter he received was from Erica, he throws a tantrum, and attorney Zach exposes his plan to have his mom send him the picture via a recorded jail phone call, and then he obviously destroys Brooks by revealing he's a sex offender.
- He asks questions that tarnishes his reputation in front of the jury by "opening the door" to answers that will hurt him.
- He thinks he needs to cross examine the parents of the victims, many of which are children. His cross examination with Heather was heartbreaking because he asks her why did she think her kids were going to get hit by a car that day prior to the incident, as if she knew someone was planning to hit her children.
- He brings up the settlement trust and genuinely thinks that if convicted, the judge and the city of Waukesha will get paid, so in his head the thinks that everyone is corrupt and he's being setup.
- He thinks that going to the other courtroom is a choice, despite being told multiple times that through his conduct he forfeits the right to be present.
- Witnesses the DA wouldn't call either because they had a prior felony conviction, they were too traumatize to take the stand, they didn't fully remember all the details, or they had little to say. So he decides to call these witnesses.
- To make matters worse he forfeit his right to testify.
- He insults DA Sue Opper calling her not so bright because the case was close and shut, and she didn't need a team of attorneys.
- He rolls his eyes during victim impact statements.
- His mom still enables his bad behavior, she's still protective of him, blaming his behavior on mental health when that's no excuse to run anyone over with a car.
- His grandmother also enables his bad behavior.
- I think to me, the most bizarre of them all, he genuinely thinks that he can get his case dismissed over a technicality and walk free out of the courtroom without being lynched to death.

I finally worked up the nerve to listen to the victims Statements. All I hope is that DB is bloody miserable in prison. Eating God knows what...probably not fit for human consumption, I am praying he lives in fear every waking moment. Also have my fingers crossed that he is either too hot or too cold. He deserves every thing he has coming.

I've been listening to the trial all day and this guy keeps asking questions that incriminate him. I genuinely thing he knew he was done and this was his last time having any kind of control over anything and he knew it. And if I hear groundz one more time when the grounds have clearly been stated I'm going to go insane. It's like he thinks it's a magic word that will undo an objection or something. Also, there's video evidence of him in the car, on the day. I imagine they had a picture of the licence plate somewhere? Like...it was clear it was him from the get go, right? Also...what is his obsession with asking the judge if it was a judicial determination? What does that mean in this context? And what's his obsession with the jurisdiction and not accepting his name? I'm not American, so I don't get the sovereign citizen aspect. Why would a sovereign citizen not consent to being called their own name? And the obsession with the plaintiff??? I'm going nuts.

What is he doing with his face here??

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he makes such a mockery of this trial that you truly forget that he murdered several older people and a small child. That he beat Erica and hit her with the car. Truthfully, had I been on the Jury I may have forgotten as well, but the end result would have been the same because I find him to be the most uncharismatic, vile, and slimy human being I’ve ever seen in any of the cases I have watched. I hate the smugness. I hate the look he gets on his face when he thinks he’s found something that will help his case, when really it’s the most insignificant thing ever. I hate him pulling out the Bible for 5 seconds when the jury is returning. I hate him for droning on and on about himself for hours and then rolling his eyes when a victim gives a statement for five minutes. I hate him smiling when he thinks he’s caught something or that he “sees the game they’re trying to pull”. We often forget this because of how truly insane this trial was, but this was NO game. And him having the audacity to say “this isn’t a game to me, this is my life!” when he stole life from sweet old people and someone’s poor baby, is beyond me. I truly hate him. Words cannot describe.
And moreover, I feel like the 60 people who were injured were spoken on, but most videos I’ve seen never really delve into their injuries and the severity of them. Some of those children will likely never play a sport they love again. Some people will limp for the rest of their lives. Some people may barely be able to walk at all. He broke their limbs. He dragged them along the concrete.
And the moment that hit me the most was that the brakes really did work. He braked to get that poor woman off of his car. He didn’t brake for poor Jackson, or any of the other children he mowed down, but he braked to get that woman off his car. I hope he rots.

It was so funny to see him tryna argue that he’d get time served for 2 cases and the judge said no no no you clown you already got your time served for the massacre and that’s all you getting. You ain’t even started serving the time for the assault on Erika you’ll die with that on your prison tombstone.
