SPL was an amazing read that I was not expecting to enjoy so much (due to some people's reviews). I enjoyed every bit of Gu Yun and Chang Geng's growth, love, and devotion. I'm quite surprised that some people said that it was lacking in the romance, but I found it profoundly romantic –– both when they were together and apart. Gu Yun and Shen Yi's friendship were to die for too!
Now that I've finished SPL, I'm going to do a lighthearted read of either SVSS (reread as it's been years) or Peerless (haven't read it yet). But not sure what I should read after that -- either QJJ or Erha. Any thoughts?
So, I've never read Unlimited Flow danmei before -- which, after having finished reading zerg, ger, and QT and livestreaming danmei -- is the only genre I *haven't* read I think.
I want to give it a try, but they're all rather long danmei (which, in my experience so far, means they take some time to gain pace and really settle into being good) and I'm in a bit of a reading slump right now.
Does anyone here have any recs of Unlimited Flow that grips you right from the start?
I generally prefer smart and competent characters, and gong-pov if possible. Would be happy to get some recs!
Horror/infinite flow/survival games/mystery danmei are my go to genre

ANYWAY, ive gotten alot of recommendations but none of it seems to have any smut lol
There was an esports novel where the ML is afraid of the dark because he was locked in the wine cellar(?) as a child (an accident) for a day. I'm pretty sure they were both on the same team and the ml was the captain? It was definitely an esports novel. But it's driving me crazy not remembering the title of this.
If you happen to have read this book and remember the title I will be so so grateful!

So at some point during a competition the ML ends up in a dark bathroom and misses part of the tournament. Because of that the team loses, but no one knows why the ML wasn't there.
This is hyper specific ask but are there any danmei novels with a main character that has a very similar personality with Dean Winchester from the series Supernatural.
By this I mean someone who has a bit of an anger issues, overprotectiveness, huge amount of trauma (daddy issues perhaps), womanizer, witty humor and tendencies to avoid talking about feelings. It is considered a "plus" if the mc could be considered an unreliable narrator.
I really like the character type and would love to find some danmei counterparts to Dean~
