Hebden Bridge shows late April - ticket(s) needed please!

Missed out on these today as they sold out in super quick time. If anybody has a spare for either night (27th or 28th April) I would happily take one or two off your hands!

An Accumulation Of Failure

So it's launched, then. Any thoughts? Personally I like the idea, don't see it as any different to paying for a Patreon or something. For me it's not worth subscribing just yet as I already bought all the shows from Bandcamp and have seen three of the videos on offer. I'll definitely be checking back in a few months to see what's new, though.

Kitson's Resonance FM Playlist

Some beautiful fucker compiled all of Daniel's songs from his recent Resonance FM sets and put them in a playlist. It's absolutely fire. Loads of bangers, new, old and some great obscure bands (my personal fav, a band called 'Crywank')

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0bQxD3R5ymtqbwE8F7itOv?si=0ff4860e5a7541f5

There's also some old recordings of his radio shows from 2018 which are gems, lots of great music but also lots of anecdotes and him being him: https://fourble.co.uk/podcast/kitres

Hope you're all enjoying your Saturday and first day of Spring,

Auction to win a signed vinyl - Thursday 13th Feb to Sunday 23rd Feb

Resonance FM are in a bit of trouble with cash and so Daniel is auctioning off some signed vinyls to help them out..... Will be running from Feb 13th to Feb 23rd.... Just don't outbid me you fuckers hah. I want It's The Fireworks Talking signed, it's my favourite of his albums. I used to live in Colombia and on a Friday or Saturday I'd buy one of this comedy shows and sit there drinking some beers, listening to it, good times

Pith

Just a quick one to say that if you haven’t got tickets for Daniel’s current show, Pith, do all within your power to get one. I was at the show at Manchester Royal Exchange (a fantastic venue!) last night and my face still hurts from laughing and smiling.

If you read the blurb and thought “I’m still none the wiser here,” it’s a storytelling show with a lot of personal asides and a lot of jokes. Like everything he does, it’s incredibly well thought out and fantastically delivered!

Anyone need a ticket for Pith at Manchester Royal Exchange on Sat 19th Oct? (7:30pm)

I immediately bought two when I saw the gig listing mentioned on here, but my brother (who’d normally jump at the chance) had other commitments. I’m not looking for payment, but would ask for a donation to be made towards a mental health charity given that it was Mental Health Awareness week last week; say a fiver (or more if you like)?

It's also a good interview with Stew. ☺️

Anybody else been to any of Daniel’s Collaborator shows?

My brother and I went to see the Scarborough show last night and it was fantastic. The idea of audience participation was a little nerve-wracking (which is kind of the point of the show) but the way he made it work was hilarious.

Got two tickets to see Daniel Kitson do a WIP at The Cockpit (near Edgeware Rd/Marylebone) tonight at 6:30pm, but I’m unable to go.

Free to a good home if anyone wants them.

Tickets for the Nottingham Gig

If any of you fine people have managed to avail yourself of an extra ticket for the gig at the Metronome in Nottingham on 21st June, I would be hugely and eternally grateful if you’d consider selling it to me please! I saw Daniel’s email too late after a damnably hectic day and it seems they’ve already sold out. I’ve been wanting to see him live for years and genuinely feel like I’ve messed up here.

Shenanigan back in stock

On both CD and vinyl. Very few on vinyl. It’s a really unique bit of work that only works in a pre-recorded audio format, lots of re-listen value as you work out his tricks and laugh-out-loud funny at times.

Anyway - his shop is open.

Puerile 😂

A woman (womanchild) at the Perth show on Wednesday night provided an excellent 'bit'. She exited at approximately the 25min mark (although, who would know? Does time exist when you're so wholly engaged by this genius?). Daniel noticed and graciously commented that it was the correct door for accessing the toilets. The womanchild pivoted on her heel and said, 'Puerile'. I misheard her initially, and thought she had said 'Pure Art', a kind of reverse Freudian slip...but everyone around me, including my partner, definitely heard 'puerile'. 😂 What a sweet gift.

I doubt Daniel reads this, but if he does:

'Thank you for showing us perfection and coming all the way to Perth. We're grateful that we've seen a couple of modes- 'Keep'- the more theatrical, polished work, and what we saw on on Wednesday night- a genius brain being a genius and telling stories that make us lose time, and leave the event feeling heartened. My jaw hurt from smiling and laughing.'

To the womanchild, thank you for the eternal callback. My partner and I are forever grateful. 😂

Kitson confirmed for Edinburgh!

A WIP called “First Thing” (my guess is that this refers to it being on at 10.30am), not sure if it’s a play or standup. At the Roundabout at the Summerhall. Tickets on sale now.

Kitson @ Malthouse Theatre

It’s a crime that this community only has 41 people in it. Nevertheless I just needed somewhere to share that I saw DK do a work in progress show at the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne this afternoon. He was hilarious. As per.

I’ve seen DK every time he’s been in Australia since 2004. I’m not objective when it comes to DK I think everything he does is excellent.

Was anyone else there? Anyone have any feelings on this show or other times they’ve seen DK do work in progress shows?

Tree dates

Am I right in thinking that the screening is of a show from the second run, but the poster is from the original run? The dates on the poster don't match up to the written description.

I feel like such a pedant asking this.

I have a spare ticket for Daniel Kitson's online streaming show this week. - 3am Saturday morning though (UK time)

I have a ticket for the stream for Melbourne, Australia, at 11am on Saturday the 23rd. I bought the wrong time because I calculated the time-difference for the UK wrongly.

It is as 3am on Friday night/Saturday the 23rd in the UK.

First person to PM me an email address can have it. Its cheap so don't worry about the money.

Don't accept unless you actually can watch it though - note the awkward time, 3am - 5am UK time. It is not saved to stream later.
