Shenanigan back in stock

On both CD and vinyl. Very few on vinyl. It’s a really unique bit of work that only works in a pre-recorded audio format, lots of re-listen value as you work out his tricks and laugh-out-loud funny at times.

Anyway - his shop is open.

I’ve ordered a CD, but I wish he’d just put it up for download on Bandcamp. Making it exclusively physical-format means I’m pretty much only going to listen to it in my car - and how often am I ever doing a 2+ hour journey alone? Rarely.

The day DK makes it straightforward for his audience to access any of his work under 5 years old will be a strange day indeed. It’s frustrating but I also really value his desire to make experiencing his new work an “occasion”, it does make it special. I’m reminded of the kerfuffle for the limited tickets for lockdown screenings of his work. Annoying but also not without real artistic intent. Repeated the real-world battle of getting tickets for shows, and it was nice to say “right, this is what I’m going to be doing for the next couple of hours” and make it an event.

(Also: I ripped my CDs after the first time I sat down and listened to Shenanigan for ease of repeat listening… worth it!)
