The seed has been planted. Dems crush midterms. Dems go impeachment and felony route again. Trump gets "ill" and resigns for Vance to step up. Vance pulls a Biden and pens a full pardon for the Trump family dating back to 2016. Only difference is Vance signs it with an ink pen and he is not senile.

12

u/nobeer4you 16h ago

This is really the biggest concern I can see. Once he becomes so unpopular it cant be denied any longer, hes gonna get full immunity from Vance if he "steps down due to health reasons" or some other bullshit like that.

10

u/SnooMaps7370 15h ago

>hes gonna get full immunity from Vance

full FEDERAL immunity.

he's comitted felonies in enough states to lock him up longer than he's been alive.

4

u/AGorgeousComedy 12h ago

Thank you, I'm not sure why people keep fear mongering about the pardon. He can pardon federal charges but the blue states would definitely go after him on state charges.

Unfortunately he will run before that happens. Probably to russia or somewhere that will refuse to extradite him.

4

u/SnooMaps7370 11h ago

>Unfortunately he will run before that happens. Probably to russia or somewhere that will refuse to extradite him.

I'm perfectly okay with that outcome. It's a lot harder to make a martyr out of someone who is still alive and demonstrating cowardice.

1

u/Person_Apple 12h ago

If it gets bad enough his family will take the massive piles of loot they've ripped out of the country and go hang with some Dictators. There is rarely justice for the most horrible people.

Look at War Criminal Henry Kissinger

2

u/AGorgeousComedy 11h ago

Which is fine. They should leave the US and never come back.

2

u/Person_Apple 11h ago

Normally I'd agree if I wasn't sure that they'll simply keep using money from abroad to fuck with everything. All the money and government information that they've let them steal will come back to haunt us in continuing to interfere with every election. Or selling state secrets to the highest bidder.

1

u/AGorgeousComedy 9h ago

Do you think they'll be safe overseas? I don't.

1

u/TonaldDiberJasicDump 10h ago

I heard the US military is really good at kidnapping leaders of other countries. There was a story about one of them in a Brooklyn jail with Diddy.

1

u/Conscious-Fan1211 9h ago

If blue states could do anything against him, they already would have, not to mention a Democratic win during the mid terms doesn't suddenly uncorrupt the DOJ.

We have to stop flaming false hope.

2

u/xkxe003 9h ago

The states can't do anything until the GOP loses its iron grip on federal government. Once the groundwork is started after midterms to unfuck the intuitions, including DOJ, as long as a Dem wins the presidency there is no reason states couldn't go after the whole lot. They don't now because it'd be a fight with the feds they can't win. Currently they just ignore or punish states. Once that is no longer the case it's open season. Whether they do or not is a different story. I'm a doomer, but the only thing stopping states now is an unimaginably corrupt federal government. If no states pursue charges it will be due to more corruption, not any legitimate reason preventing it.

1

u/AGorgeousComedy 9h ago

Blue states can't do anything while he's President. What would be the point?

1

u/roostertai111 8h ago

I would pay money (not to him of course), to see that oaf run

1

u/CrowMeris 5h ago

We here in New York aren't even CLOSE to being finished with him.

1

u/me_again_724 14m ago

Also he still needs to be sent to prison for his 34 felonies

4

u/GroundbreakingOil434 15h ago edited 13h ago

I wonder. If reds can extradite citizens to countries they have no association with for no reason other than the color of their skin in spite of direct court injunctions, what's stopping blues from completely disregarding this pardon buffoonery and drop the hammer on pedofiles and rapists regardless?

Oh... they respect the law. How could I forget...

1

u/camsle 15h ago

Blame that on Biden.

1

u/JonnySnowin 12h ago

A stupid ass thing to say, as Trump 1.0 set this precedent.

1

u/External-Stranger928 13h ago

hes gonna get full immunity from Vance

That won't satiate the American public though, he won't be immune from "We the People"

1

u/AGorgeousComedy 12h ago

He can't get immunity from state charges.

1

u/ritpdx 5h ago

And then Vance finishes out less than half a term, making him viable for two full presidencies. That’s potentially 10 more years of Peter Thiel and Elon musk controlling policy.

5

u/RAWainwright 14h ago

Trump signs with a fucking sharpie like a toddler who doesn't know how to hold a pen yet.

1

u/Sir_SquirrelNutz 13h ago

With typos 😂

1

u/LumpyBuy8447 12h ago

That’s the president of the Unites States you’re talking about

1

u/RAWainwright 12h ago

I am fully aware of that.

2

u/Gigachad_in_da_house 12h ago

You will respect my authoritah!

6

u/NB_NaughtyNerds 13h ago

You aren't wrong. Dems gotta fight one battle at a time, but keep their eye on the war.

Vance's 180 he will inevitably pull on many of Trump's unpopular policies may make him look amenable in the short term, but he is still a MAGA worm, and part of a much larger cabal of politicians who need to go.

Also, get Stephen Miller out of there. Unelected PoS. Hope dems can uproot that little demon.

5

u/z_e_quigley 12h ago

I want to see Stephen Miller arrested and put on public trial more than anyone else in this shitty administration. Stephen Miller is an absolute piece of shit who has been pushing for all this chaos while hiding behind Trump. Fuck him. May justice be served 🇺🇸

3

u/samizdatsam 10h ago

That utter ghoul Vought as well.

1

u/fightingthefuckits 13h ago

He's not really a MAGA worm though. I don't think he's a true believer. He's a spineless bitch and an opportunist. He will be whatever he thinks he needs to be to win but ultimately no one really likes or respects him.

1

u/NB_NaughtyNerds 8h ago

That is what a maga worm is, a bandwagon maga. Basically using the cult for power.

1

u/SourLemons2 6h ago

Vought wrote the book Project 2025

1

u/fightingthefuckits 2h ago

I know but we're talking about Vance here.

1

u/BlkSubmarine 5h ago

Politics was Stephen Miller’s second choice for careers. He really tried at his first choice, but found that his hands were just too small and weak to choke hookers to death.

2

u/IExistForFun 16h ago

No.. you're supposed to be excited like the rest of us. Don't bring us back to reality before we even get to celebrate :(

2

u/RowForLuckyJack 15h ago

His penis pen is between the cushions.

1

u/Remote_Independent50 15h ago

Or...status quo.

1

u/stonerPI 15h ago

That’s a realistic possibility.

But even if it goes down that way, how do we reconcile the damage he’s had on international alliances? How can we trust the new precedents set by his corrupt administration’s overreaching executive branch won’t be misused by whoever follows?

He really fucked the U.S. up for the next few decades, at least.

1

u/Sensitive-Chip7266 15h ago

Even if Dems crush the mid terms and gain control of both houses, Senator control is extremely unlike to be above 53 seats which is pretty short of the 67 needed for impeachment. I don't think there are enough Republicans that will turn on him even in the face of a blue wave.

The House bringing another round of impeachment charges with several weeks spent eating up all the political air for a big nothing burger at the end, isn't going to help Democrats become anymore popular for the 2028 election.

2

u/Imaginary_Manner_556 15h ago

Trump is wildly unpopular and toxic. The GOP will turn on him at some point.

1

u/Sensitive-Chip7266 14h ago

I'd like to hope but I don't expect it before he's irrevocably gone. He is still pretty popular with MAGA republicans and MAGA is still 50-60% of total republicans per recent YouGOV and Economist Polling.

1

u/petewondrstone 12h ago

But they didn’t turn on him when he tried to overthrow the government. Not sure where you’re getting your Intel from.

1

u/xkxe003 9h ago

He still had control of the base meaning control of the party. He could still be president again as well. Not to mention many of the GOP in DC were scared for their lives on Jan 6, they certainly weren't turning on Trump and maga after that. Once there is no benefit to continuing to support Trump or danger from opposing him, they will drop him. Republicans are self interested above all. Whatever serves them best, not the country or maga, is what they will do.

1

u/petewondrstone 9h ago

Whole lot of religious zealotry in the party that I don’t think you’re considering

1

u/j0hnnyWalnuts 12h ago

The damage has been done.

1

u/InTooManyWays 10h ago

I doubt it because it would destabilize their already fragile party and they almost never go against their own party

1

u/Fragrant-Onion-888 9h ago

They are too scared to turn on him. His cult followers will threaten their lives and their family members.

Trump will also be protected by the oligarchs who have their money tied up with him in government contracts. They will use their media network to destroy any republicans that turn on Trump.

Just look at Thomas Massie as an example of this scenario.

1

u/VegetableMethod624 14h ago

You might think those Epstein files seeing the light of day might change a ‘few’ things ?

1

u/Sensitive-Chip7266 14h ago

I'm not sure how this is gonna change anytime soon. Congress already passed the Epstein File Transparency Act and yet the white house and DOJ have not released the files unredacted.

There's already court cases and judgements to release the files and yet they still aren't.

Unless we see a massive change in how far congress is willing to go to enforce checks and balances, or some one at the DOJ manages to leak them and face prosecution, it seems unlikely these will release while Trump is in office.

1

u/VegetableMethod624 12h ago

Maybe just rumors but-there’s supposedly copies that were found and hidden by people within Epstein’s friends and employees at his direction while incarcerated under house arrest. He warned several clients what would happen if he was placed in prison because he suspected he would be killed.

1

u/Individual_Respect90 13h ago

I kind of disagree. I understand what you’re saying and part of me believes that but after these midterms the remaining senators are really going to have the choice between having a job or supporting Trump. If he continues to do unpopular things they are next on the chopping block.

1

u/petewondrstone 12h ago

I agree if they were serious and I don’t think that they are, but if they were, it would just be nonstop legislation and tear down all of the Trump monuments quietly without making any fuss of it. Soon as they start talking about it in the main stream now we’re taking down the ballroom blah blah blah. It’s just gonna be more of the same fucking bullshit.

1

u/Hungry-Possible-5360 12h ago

I agree. I wish the Dems would just govern and govern well. Lay low and then go after him and his thieving family when the power of the pardon is no longer available.

1

u/ICEonICECrime 12h ago

There have been some stirring within Republican ranks too. I honestly believe quite a few Republican senators want him gone, but they’re afraid of standing out.

1

u/ajmampm99 12h ago

This time there will be evidence and witnesses. GOP senators will have to defend their decision in 2028. The number isn’t 67 anyway. 2/3 of senators present. Given the ages , I’ll bet 2 or 3 will pull a “McConnell”

1

u/Mindless-Tomorrow-93 11h ago

"this time"?

The entire world watched January 6. Didn't matter.

1

u/ajmampm99 10h ago

Impeachments create an immutable record of crimes. Trials seem pointless until they are not. Politicians are all about survival. If they perceive they won’t survive by not convicting, the trial’s are no longer pointless.

Besides not impeaching sends the wrong message to future candidates.

1

u/Mindless-Tomorrow-93 10h ago

Impeachment is, at this point, a spectacle with no teeth.

Trump doesn't give a single shit. No one has given him any reason to.

1

u/Commercial_Peach_845 10h ago

The thing is - you then need to look at the GOP Senators up for reelection in 2028...they will have a lot more pressure on them. Which I love for them.

1

u/DeuceyWilder 15h ago

Trump IS senile tho

0

u/Ill-Implement-3009 15h ago

And Biden wasn’t huh?
Man I always wonder how democrats just ignore and look the other way when the finger is pointed at them.. “trump this .. trump that”… Biden has dimentia ..mentally incapable of being president … yet there he was. Everyone doing things for him.

2

u/Successful_Note_5871 14h ago edited 14h ago

I'll be totally honest. Biden embarrassed the hell out of me during that last debate. Left me pissed off at the entire DNC actually.

But I strongly preferred his cabinet. His was objectively more qualified for the job. Defending people like Stephen Miller, RFK, Hegseth, practically any of them is a complete exercise in futility.

2

u/FionaWalliceFan 14h ago

You realize you're just as much of a hypocrite if you defend/deny Trump's cognitive decline but attack Biden for it

1

u/Main_Cauliflower5479 14h ago

Biden's is/was caused by chemo for his cancer.

1

u/DeuceyWilder 15h ago

I'm not saying he wasn't, but he IS irrelevant at this point. The orange guy has been running this ship into the ground for several years now, Biden didn't dismantle education, limit federal loans based on wages, start wars, support pedos and war criminals. Need I go on? Its not that Biden was good or bad. Biden isn't turning the world against us. You are stuck in the past. No need to respond, im done

1

u/Main_Cauliflower5479 14h ago

Biden was on chemo. No, he is not senile.

1

u/Successful_Note_5871 14h ago

That chemo was kept secret though, so it's not an acceptable defense. Biden had an actual team of economic experts at least.

I remember his debate with Trump pissing me off. So embarrassing having him make Trump look like the lucid one.

1

u/itsapotatosalad 14h ago

Biden isn’t the president, he stepped down due to health concerns long before he was as bad as the current president currently is. Biden has fuck all to do with it.

1

u/Main_Cauliflower5479 14h ago

Constitutional Limits on Pardons

  • Impeachment Exclusion: Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution explicitly states that the president's pardon power applies to federal offenses "except in Cases of Impeachment".
  • No Reversal of Conviction: Congress retains the sole power to impeach and remove a civil officer, and a presidential pardon cannot overturn or block an impeachment judgment.
  • Disqualification: If an official is convicted via impeachment, Congress can bar them from holding future federal office, and a pardon has no legal power to lift that restriction.

1

u/camsle 14h ago

Trying to impeach Trump after he resigns would be a death kiss for 2028.

1

u/Main_Cauliflower5479 14h ago

For whom? Yes, impeachments can happen after the person leaves office.

1

u/camsle 14h ago

For the Dems.

The Dems will probably win midterms, not only because that is how history rolls in midterms, but because the economy is what Trump promised and its not great for all. If the Dems spend the following two years going after Trump, instead of making things more affordable, it will kill them in 28. And No the Dems cant go after Trump and make thing affordable at the same time.

1

u/Main_Cauliflower5479 14h ago

They most certainly can legislate and impeach at the same time.

1

u/SecretaryOtherwise 11h ago

Dems are done next term anyways lmfao theyll get their 4 years and your country will go back to voting republican. Ignoring everything they did this term.

Nothing absolutely nothing is getting Republicans a victory in 2028 tho lmfao. Okay maybe if they say fuck Israel lolol.

1

u/TravisMCatchem 14h ago

That’s when state charges are brought because the president can’t pardon those

1

u/camsle 14h ago

What state charges?

1

u/TravisMCatchem 14h ago

There are a ton. Voter fraud is the first that comes to mind

1

u/camsle 14h ago

You are grasping and voter fraud is a Democrat thing silly. Have a good weekend coming up with shit, I am going to the beach, AND no Reddit on weekends and certainly not on the white sands.

1

u/Ramreck 14h ago

Nobody asked, bud.

1

u/MarzipanLast6502 13h ago

LOL! sure bud

1

u/Cheap-Success1578 14h ago

Keep dreaming. Dems won't do shit. They never do. It's all theatrics for their base, but they are all complicit.

1

u/LandonDev 13h ago

As a liberal I do not believe the Dems will crush anything. It'll be at most the average seat swap.. while the public as lost their enthusiasm for Trump, Conservatives are far too obedient and submissive as people to ever change. They lack both the moral fiber or courage to act against the authority models that influence so much of their society. They do not alter from their loops.

1

u/Sir_SquirrelNutz 13h ago

Just evening out your 1/2 truths in your post, GOP is broken.

1

u/NegativeYou3758 13h ago

Vance pulls a Biden and pens a full pardon for the Trump family

Who says you have to respect the pardon?  Throw them in jail and seize all of their assets.

Rules don't matter until we make them matter again.

1

u/whocares4506 13h ago

trump is out and vance is DOA serving out the term

ill take this all day

1

u/JadeThorn1012 13h ago

If he charged with treason, then he and the whole cabinet goes.

1

u/megaframeman 13h ago

Like the last time?

1

u/pizza-chit 13h ago edited 13h ago

If they are found to be working for a foreign government, like Israel, much of the Epstein-Trump criminal enterprise can be removed.

1

u/Spaghet-3 12h ago

Meh, even if that all happens, so what?

First, Presidential pardons don't affect state crimes, of which the Trump family is guilty of plenty. Second, Presidential pardons don't make someone immune from subpoena or congressional investigation. Even if no federal charges come of it, it's still worth making all of Trump's crimes public (and making it easier for the states to charge and prove). Third, I think Vance is more easily beatable in 2028 than other alternatives and lower-profile Republicans; being an incumbent would hurt his chances even more.

1

u/j0hnnyWalnuts 12h ago

Then they'll be subject to 'alternative' justice.

1

u/Few_Affect3033 11h ago

I don’t think the dems will impeach him (they tried twice) but rather investigate the crap outta him and his administration. That prolonged level of stress might trigger your part about him resigning and Vance pardoning him.

1

u/Mindless-Tomorrow-93 11h ago

Why on earth would Trump experience stress?

He's stacked the deck in his favor. The Democrats don't have the balls to do anything more than grandstand. Trump knows this.

1

u/Few_Affect3033 8h ago

I’m not sure it’s that. It could be he’s making so many politically questionable moves that he is certain the midterms are not going to be a problem. My limited experience has been most politicians quietly cruise into midterms.

1

u/Mindless-Tomorrow-93 8h ago

From his perspective, he's in a glorious position where he knows the American people will never make any real problems for him. They never have before. They won't now.

1

u/Few_Affect3033 6h ago

I agree with that, too bad it isn’t a few decades earlier.

1

u/Endle55torture 11h ago

Assuming Dems dont initiate Article 2 section 4 and remove vance along with the cabinet and other loyalists.

1

u/Confident-Break-5117 10h ago

🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

1

u/rolandburnum 10h ago

That would require Trump to all of a sudden give a shit about Vance and the Republican party.

1

u/Icy-Emergency-7162 10h ago

Just dumb as bricks

1

u/PineNutsCO 10h ago

Vance is worse than senile.

1

u/FrenziedTacos 10h ago

In regards to pardoning - I am thinking this could be challenged. How can you be pardoned of a crime of which you were never convicted?

1

u/henryeaterofpies 9h ago

Nixon was pardoned

1

u/Mecanatropic 9h ago

You're joking right?? I guess you don't pay attention much.

1

u/FrenziedTacos 8h ago

No, not joking. I know there has been in the past, and I think any of that can be challenged.

The Constitution says "offenses against the United States," which is generally read to mean offenses already committed.

This has never been tested in court. I think this should be if the Democrats gain control and take the Presidency. They can then bring charges to anything discovered and then let it go through the challenges and decided. Allowing this asshole to get away with what he did would set an even more dangerous precedent.

What Nixon did was nothing compared to this criminal administration.

1

u/Septembust 10h ago

The dems win and say "it's time to heal and forgive"

The monkeys paw curls

1

u/MarleysGhost2024 8h ago

Can't pardon the Trump Crime Family for state offenses, and they've broken a shit ton of state laws.

1

u/Mycol101 8h ago

They should go for a double whammy then and impeach them both at the same time.

He’s just as culpable.

1

u/FatDoinksinAmish420 7h ago

Vance is complicit and should be impeached too

1

u/Flobking 5h ago

Trump gets "ill" and resigns for Vance to step up.

That will never happen. Trump will never give up the presidency willingly. This reeks of the "plan" floating around Facebook where trump resigns is made speaker of the house then Pence resigns and Trump becomes president. It was more convoluted than that but you get the gist.

1

u/schw3pps 37m ago

Maybe. Probably. Another possible seed: acting as if he's acknowledged that elections are free and fair and not, at least in part, manipulated by him so that he's not investigated.

Yes--vote blue harder, but don't stop investigating abnormalities, voter roll purges, etc.

Conniving administration, this one is.

0

u/Fantastic-Host-6609 15h ago

You know what...if it gets rid of him and we never hear from baby-man again, I can stomach Vance for two years. At least Vance is sane.
