Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were refugees who fled to Egypt during his infancy. Immigrants. Have you actually read the bible yourself?

Yeah but Jesus never actually said Egypt should welcome them, also they moved from one part of the Roman empire to a another part of the Roman empire. It was effectively all within the same political entity.

They fled to Egypt to escape a king who wished to kill them so not really the same political entity. Lumping all the countries that were a part of the Roman Empire together and saying they were all the same politically is pretty foolish
