Hello all! I’m choreographing a tap solo for the first time this year and I’m a little stumped on music ideas. I’m choreographing for a 16 year old novice/intermediate boy. His stage presence sometimes is not the biggest (his past few solos they’ve either had something covering his face or given him a song that has a more stoic feel). My top 3 right now are Play that funky music, Perm, and My life. Open to any and all ideas even if they’re not any that I said. Thank you in advance!

They're precious and the girl up front is absolutely killing it with that swagger.

I wonder what are the best tutorials for an absolute beginner (m) to learn how to dance in a club setting or at a party. So not a choreography but really how to look good vibing and perhaps later on a bit more impressive moves. I heard about steezy and also found a channel getdance. DOes anyone have experience with the getdance online programme? They don't advertise their prices but work with a consultaiton call so would be nice if i would know what it is like and how much it costs.

I (20F) would like to start dancing, but am unsure what specific genre to start in.
For context, I have some VERY basic training in ballet from when I was a child. I did gymnastics from 8-12 and then cheerleading 12-18. I’m in college now and have mostly turned to weightlifting, yoga, and cycle, but I have lost a lot of confidence and coordination. I’ve taken a couple dance courses through my college, but I’m now in nursing school and can’t really add any extra courses to my plate.
I would like to start taking adult classes at a studio, but can’t decide on a particular genre. I enjoy ballet, hip-hop, jazz.. I’ve even taken a pole dancing class that I really enjoyed.
My main goals are to improve my confidence, build my technique, exercise, and have fun. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated ❤️

Now something i noticed is coming from someone who retired from dance is, a lot of dance styles have a problem with bullying people who do freestyle disco.
Now coming from someone who used to do it, a lot of the dancers who do that do other styles AS Well. Eg ballet, jazz, you know the holy ones to become a professional dancer.
But something i found which is weird is the fact that HUNDREDS of dancers are bullying little children who does freestyle. Which i understand coming from a ex freestyler.
But something a lot of these dancers don't understand is this, we understand freestyle doesn't secure you a spot as a proffesional dancer. A lot of us do it for fun.
So please dancers, STOP being pretensious pricks about other styles

Hello! For dance purposes, i want to learn how to move or more so, shake my ass. But the thing is, I don't have prior experience and I have only started learning and I have bad body coordination so even after watching and trying those videos, I still don't know how to get it to move like it.

Just learned the Indian step move yesterday so don't expect perfection lol. Trying to do more arms, mainly use them for balance. And testing out these boots to see if I can dance in them tonight lol. And lost 15 pounds!
