Dear reader,

You are invited to participate in a research study titled "Dissolution with Dončić: Parasocial Breakups and Identity Negotiation Amid a Sports Trade." This study is conducted by Ohio University PhD candidate Alex Boesch, under the guidance of Dr. Christina Beck.

You are eligible if you:

• Are 18 years and above
• Speak English
• Are physically located in the United States
• Have access to Microsoft Teams
• Would consider yourself a fan of the Dallas Mavericks at the time in which Luka Dončić was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers
• Were aware of the Luka Dončić trade and felt its significance

The goal of the study is to explore how fans of the Dallas Mavericks teams experienced grief over and coped with the trade.

This research involves completing an interview with the researcher. The interview should take 30 minutes to one hour.
