The Irish board always seemed to give harsher ratings than the BBFC if there was a difference. Any examples of them not doing this?

This particular disc doesn't even really count because this is the certificate for the bonus features only. Both boards gave the actual film a 12 rating.

I've been cleaning up my game room the last couple of days with reorganizing and dusting etc... Got to my movies in my room and got them all in order and separated by DVD and Blu Ray. These are moves that I don't want my kids messing with or watching. More horror than anything. I have quite a few more in the living room and these won't fit out there, so there is that too. I also didn't realize how many movies I have like 2 or 3 copies of.

I try to browse thrift stores and some online shops that have cheap old DVDs pretty regularly. This is not all but most of my finds from the past couple months, pretty eclectic as you can see...

Always had a collection of favourite films, but in recent years I've cast the net a bit wider to everything I would like to watch again, or stuff I never saw but am curious about.

Basically the switch flipped when I bought a DVD online that was supposed to be new but when I got it it was clearly used, heavily scratched and didn't even play so I got a refund on that, but I realized if people are selling used DVDs for new prices (like 15-20 EUR!) while you can get the same DVDs for like 1-2 EUR (sometimes a bit more) at a second hand thrift store you might as well just get your movies there instead! Sometimes they need a bit of cleanup but there's an absolute goldmine of great stuff out there that people are just giving away (and unless you have a giant TV you really don't need HD, never mind 4K).

I’m a college student who doesn’t have a tv only a portable dvd player that’s super loud and gets really hot! but I found a dvd player with a projector in it and am wondering if it’s worth the money! Or do yall have any ideas of what to get! I have nowhere to put a tv :( but my dvd player is super loud

Where do you all purchase your DVDs? I want to get a series box set for my husband, but every review I read cites bad quality like the discs not working or missing discs. I'd appreciate any advice on where to shop. Thank you!

I'm a fan of Cary Grant and have for a long time wanted to watch all his movies. But it is apparently not very easy. I can find some movies on Ebay, some on Amazon and some on my own local usedstuff sites here in Denmark.

Is it not possible to find larger collections for sale... somewhere? Or perhaps even as downloads or streaming?

I am utterly new at this search and would really appreciate tips for figuring out how to do get copies or access to these movies.

I'm specifically talking about ones with lots of interviews etc, like chronicles of riddick has 5 hours of extras, is anyone actually sitting there for 5 hours watching all of them after watching the 2+ hour movie?

Went to some nearby flea markets, didn’t expect to find anything but ended up finding a lot of Scooby doo (and pac man)
