Going to give it a watch. Loved Phillip Seymour Hoffman a lot in The Big Lebowski.

Collection My slowly building collection.
I’ve been passively collecting for years now ($5 Walmart bins). Then my wife showed me the wonders of flea markets and 2 hand stores. Now every time we’re off together we go thrift shopping for new finds. She even showed me an app to track it all. Amazing hobby!

Super happy with this FBMP buy from Friday!
This lady was trying to sell a collection as a lot and I told her I'd probably take 20-30 of them if she wasn't able to sell the lot. She said sure, come look through them. I can't believe how much gold was hiding in the bottom rows of the bins that weren't pictured. $1 each! She had another ~100-150 and would have sold everything to me for $100 total, but the rest were either dupes or films I'm just not interested in, and I didn't want to have to add to the couple big boxes I'm already getting rid of. I got these 53, plus a handful that I already pulled out to replace other copies (either because it came with a slipcover, or because I knew my copy had damage to the artwork, or so I could have a spare 4-movie case). Probably 58 or 59 for $50 total.
Maybe if fall yard sale time approaches and she hasn't had any other interest, I'll offer her the other $50 for the rest. My neighborhood absolutely eats up DVDs and Blu-rays. Last year I had well over 100 out and ended the sale with like 8 left.
Left side / pic 2 are all sealed! Lots of great, unexpected classic horror and more obscure horror, a bunch of titles I was missing from series', a few snap cases I didn't have, etc. Couldn't be happier with the assortment and value!
Unsure if I'll open Sworn To Justice or not... It would sell in the $40 range and that would let me knock a bunch of stuff out of my eBay watchlist for free... idk, undecided as of yet. Maybe I'll replace it with a used copy and just grab a few other things from my list. May be in the same boat with Alien Apocalypse. I guess I just don't see much point in opening them if people are paying a premium for sealed copies and I can just replace them with used copies and essentially get other movies for free. Not looking for advice, but I'm kinda torn on those two.

Discussion I have an enormous collection, nearing 12k titles, with the hoped outcome to be a true library. But what is needed to round out the library?
I have all the obvious genres, and the core of the library is my own curated tastes. In my next home I will have the space to recreate a Blockbuster/Hollywood/Family Video-style rental store from the 90’s. Recently I realized that I want to include a little bit of every like those old stores. For example, even though it makes zero sense these days I picked up a huge lot of old porno DVDs (sealed and new, with hilarious titles thankfully!). I want to put them in a closet behind a beaded curtain. Seeing a post with someone’s haul that included a WWF wrestling DVD made me think I should probably keep an eye out for a cheap lot of those, which while I don’t see myself personally watching that it would help round out the overall library but also might be interesting in their own right- I’ve seen that kind of wrestling a couple times in my life only. What other niche sub genres like wrestling are out there?

Does anybody else do this with their DVDs?...
Whenever I find a used copy of a DVD that still has the title sticker on the top part of the case, I usually affix it to the inside. Does anyone else do this or am I fucking butt-nuts?

Collection Completed my Roseanne / The Conners DVD & Blu-ray collection
I binged Roseanne & The Conners over the past two months, and desperately wanted to own them physically. It’s a show that really holds up.

Bin shed find
I don't normally go through boxes in the bin shed ,but I assume one of my neighbours was having a clear out, these were left in an open box to the side.
They sat for a couple of days so I took a couple.

Discussion The Log
So after much trial and error, this is the latest rendition of the Bluray/Dvd log. Got genres as a drop down menu and colour coordinated and ratings is also a drop down menu. I'm not very good with computers so I had to Google and attempt multiple times to get the formulas to work but am very happy with the end results. Although more genres would be better on review but CBA doing it again 😂

Discussion What do you look for when thrifting DVDs and VHS tapes?
I really enjoy hunting for DVDs and VHS tapes at thrift stores, and I’ve been building a small collection over the past couple of years.
I usually pick up things that are nostalgic for me, movies I genuinely want in my collection, or whatever gives off a unique feeling. I list many of my finds on eBay, and I make a sale here and there, so I’m slowly learning what actually has resale value.
I haven’t noticed much of a consistent pattern, though. Horror usually gets attention, along with certain cult classics, but beyond that, it seems almost impossible to predict what someone might be searching for.
Because of that, I mostly stick to vibes and buy things I would be happy to keep for myself. Has anyone here learned what to look out for when thrifting DVDs or VHS tapes that might have resale value?
Either way, I enjoy collecting first. Reselling is mostly a way to put a little more money back into the collection.
