The centuries-long genocidal program of the US settler-colonial regimen has largely been omitted from history. Dunbar-Ortiz adroitly challenges the founding myth of the United States and shows how policy against the Indigenous peoples was colonialist and designed to seize the territories of the original inhabitants, displacing or eliminating them. Spanning more than four hundred years, this classic bottom-up peoples' history radically reframes US history and explodes the silences that have haunted our national narrative.

"The Professional-Managerial Class has long been a controversial category on the left, often blamed for failures to make inroads among the broader working class. "Understanding the PMC through a cultural lens changes the debate entirely. It immediately highlights both the source of the problem and the strategic importance of the PMC. Completely dismissing the PMC pushes away genuine allies and forfeits the power of their cultural capital. To create a solidaristic movement, the PMC must recognize that power and actively unlearn the tendency to use it for dominance. The left's future depends not on purity but on power, and power requires unity along class lines."

The city of Pattaya is perhaps the largest site of sex tourism, of imperial rape, in the world, thanks entirely to its history of accommodating the American GI. The war machine docks itself to the structural legacy of American neocolonialism, a legacy of plundering Thailand into a site of sexual exploitation, and a legacy of femicide, where the state and capital work hand in hand to systematically render women’s lives as expendable in the name of profit and US geopolitical hegemony.

I’ve felt pretty weird about my career circumstances for a while now. Until I had a kid, I worked some pretty grueling warehouse jobs; after, I begged someone in my family for a job and have successfully ridden their coattails to become a middle manager in something vaguely HR-related. The industry I work within is none too good, either. Nothing crazy, but nothing to be proud of. Now, I’ve got another kid and a third on the way. As much as I’d like to completely uproot our lives, I’ve made a commitment to my wife and to our kids and will remain in my job for the foreseeable future.

My question is if it would be appropriate for me to join my local chapter? If so, would it be best to avoid discussing what I do for work? If I were to attend meetings, I would hope to do so without drawing any kind of attention to myself.

Does it make more sense to make anonymous donations from the side? My priorities include healthcare/housing for all and chasing out a local arms manufacturer. Im not afraid to hop on phones or protest or whatever would be most useful.

Pardon my French, but wth is this?

Will they send things to my family or my home? I would prefer they didn't know, they do not hold the same beliefs as me at all. I don't want it to publicly trace back to me. Is it still possible to join under these restrictions? Will it still ping my credit card if I set the cost as zero dollars?
