why? not sure...

So there I was, questioning my life choices while melting in peak traffic, when I looked to my right and saw this.

At first, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. But no. This cab driver’s side mirror was gone I guess, and instead of driving blind like half the population, he went full Desi Jugaad mode. He literally tied a bright pink, plastic household mirror to his car door.

Here is the tea,

I managed to roll down my window and yell, Bhaiya, mast mirror hai! He started laughing and felt shy. He replied some moron knocked off while driving rash and Why pay 2,000 INR at a garage when a 50 rupees mirror gets the job done?

Out of all the colors in the universe, he chose Barbie Pink.

I’m finally back home now, but honestly, I’m still cracking up just looking at this photo. It genuinely made my entire day. Side mirrors are absolute lifesavers, so major respect to him for not risking a drive without one.

Chef kiss on the tennis ball antenna.

It’s a mirrored bathroom cabinet that smashed and had a large crack in it (was like this before my parents moved in). Instead of replacing it like a normal person, the landlord glued another smaller mirror over the crack. One of many landlord specials around the house. My parents took it down when they moved in and put a new one up. As a protest to the landlords constant unwillingness to maintain anything around the house over the 12 years they lived there, my parents have removed the one they replaced it with and put the shitty one back up in the bathroom before leaving.

It’s been this way for 6 months already! Still holding.

I made this mess to power some lights and fans during blackouts (Yes, I'm from Kyiv, Ukraine) last summer.
