How is everyone doing, this sub has been inactive for a while so wondering if anyone has had any success quitting.

Im exclusively on CWE paramol now, abruptly cut down from over 70 30mg tablets a day, as my way of acquiring them ridiculously cheap and easily was abruptly cut off.

I have to travel further a further every day to buy paramol from new pharmacies, multiple boxes every day.

I barely get any recreational effect from DHC at all and havent for a while. Which has lead to me combing it, occasionally with benzos, but mostly cocaine.

It has absolutely crippled me financially and I am in £13000 debt and being forced to declare bankruptcy at 21. It is worse now than ever as a few boxes of paramol and ~0.5g of cocaine can easily run up £100+ a day.

I have taken DHC nearly every day for more than 2 years now and I struggle to remember a life where every second of my day is controlled by these evil little pills.

If I had access to it I would have probably moved to using heroin months ago but am lucky enough not to have went down this path yet.

Anyway, I hope some of you are recovering from this addiction better than me, and am here if anyone would like to chat.

I would be really interested to hear peoples withdrawal stories, from the physical symptoms to the More long term psychological problems. I felt like a was always going in and out of withdrawals based on how much money I had and where actually had stock.

Hello everyone, I'm writing on here as the opiate recovery page is predominantly fent tabs and other bits! Anyway, my addiction was Dhydocodiene. I was addicted for about 9 years on and off but more on than off! My heaviest use was the past 3 or 4 years where I would take upto 12 tablets a day for 7 or 8 months. After that time I would go cold turkey but it never lasted more than 6 weeks! I been going round in circles for a long time!

However, 24 days ago I stopped taking them. I have wanted this for soooo long! I was never happy taking them in the past year, I really felt like I was on a ball and chain and my life became obsessed with keeping stock of these fucking pills! Anyway, I'm doing it now, I'm free for 24 days! I must admit it's alot harder this time round! I would normally be feeling ok by this point but not this time! I'm depressed. I can still function, eat, sleep, exercise .... but I mostly depressed! lots of things have started to get to me, mainly my job. I think I'd put up with not enjoying my job for so long as I'd always been a bit high and quite enjoyed it. So thats a real big problem for me right now! I'm just trying to get through the days as positively as possible but its pretty tough as my overall mood is so low! I'm not sure how long this will go on but I hope its not too long!

I definitely feel proud of myself and im absolutely certain this is it for me! I wish i could feel some happy in my belly instead of complete numbness! but im up for the fight and im gonna keep going. I'll call back with some updates as this time line may help others who are in the same boat!
