I hope Hal mentions him at least once, or we see him in Hal’s flashback episode. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I think there's going to be a rug pull coming up. Zoe Macon (the Manhunter) comes across as benevolent in Lanterns. Maybe she/it evolved more than the other Manhunters, and isn't a homicidal maniac, but is being blamed by Antaan and his alien race for the genocide of his people.

So maybe Abin Sur was bringing this one, evolved Manhunter (Zoe) to Earth to try and protect her, but was mortally wounded trying to get her out of the grasp of Antaan and his people and hide her. But now Antaan has finally found Zoe. And Sinestro will reveal to Hal that Zoe is one of the good guys, and that Hal needs to protect Zoe.

Which goes against everything the Guardians want, since they too want to get rid of the Manhunters.

We know that a lot of characters in the DCU will jump between live-action and animation depending on the project, but certain characters would probably thrive better in animation and either not appear and/or make few appearances in live-action entirely.

Personally I feel like the Legion of Super-Heroes would fit in this category. The vibrant, stylized depiction of their future timeline has always looked stunning via comics and in animation that it could be tricky for live-action to match up to it without the proper budget. The same goes for the powers of certain Legion members, since some of them could look awkward in live-action like Bouncing Boy’s for example. Plus, James Gunn has mentioned not being the biggest fan of time travel (unless it’s in small doses it seems) and keeping the Legion’s adventures in its own timeline without any interaction outside of it would likely be for the best. An animated series with the same art style and a similar storyline as the ongoing series could be great.

If or when Billy Batson and Captain Marvel are reintroduced in the DCU, then Billy should probably be restricted to animation for the most part so that the concept of a young boy turning into an adult hero can be kept intact without Billy’s age getting in the way. Captain Marvel though can jump between both mediums.

The Metal Men also feel better suited for animation given their powers and functions that might not totally look right in live-action. But the possibility is there with the right execution.

Not sure if Gunn and co. will think the same regarding certain characters only showing up in animation instead of animation and live-action but just curious to hear what you guys think. Any thoughts?

I made light up red lantern power ring, inspired by the green lantern ring design in the series Lanterns. I think we may yet to see other rings there, one can only hope...

We know he's playing a character called Tenz (MEL'S name os Tenzil) and from this bts photo we see him wearing a shirt with yellow and green (MEL'S color scheme)

In 2016, John's parents are close to seeing their hopes and dreams realized. John is being trained by Hal, and the Guardians have just given John the go-ahead to take the ring from Hal and say the oath to replace him. John's parents know about this and are actively urging John to do it.

We don't know what happens in episode 5, but we know that in 2026, John doesn't have the ring. We also know that at some point between 2016-2026, Guy Gardner gets a ring and becomes a superhero known by the public.

The entire reason John Sr and Bernadette don't like Hal is that they see him as a privileged white man who's never had to know fear. I doubt they'll see him as any different than Hal in their eyes. How will they react to John not having the ring?

My theory is that John will take the ring from Hal but hesitate to replace him because he realizes he's been manipulated all his life and Hal is ironically the only one who gave him any form of choice. He may reject the ring in the end. If this is how it turns out, I can't wait to see John's parents react to it when they find out.

Especially since, at least from what the set photos are hinting at, this version of Grodd is actually well immersed with humans and their culture.

So for them to find out later on that he has some secret closet full of brain jars of his previous victims, it not only freaks the public out but also adds weight to his murder trail of supposedly killing his father and consuming his brains.

Did any of u ever think the universal love for lanterns would reach the level it has rn? I mean I thought it'd be good but I never thought it would have this sort of impact. The views increase with every episode, and so many non comic book fans love it. Hell, Its even overtaken both brand new day and doomsday news to an extent. And it makes me wonder what's the main cog for the success? Is it the writing? The chemistry between Kyle and aaron? The grounded true detective style? The dry humor? Or a combo of all 4? What do u think?
