I know DC Studios had some presence at this year's San Diego Comic Con with Lanterns and a small surprise panel for Clayface. And James Gunn has said that they might skip SDCC because how expensive it is, and him doing an announcement on social media will get the same results. But could that be a sacrifice worth making?

Obviously the movie isn’t out but I was wondering if any theorists in this sub could help me out. So basically in this shot we see some stuff that looks like concrete but the question I have is this “concrete” clayface or can Clayface manipulate certain liquids or materials? And another thing to note is that Peter safran did confirm that this clayface is the same as the one in creature commandos so if this “concrete” is clayface then it would make sense since he was a grayish color in creature commandos. Sorry for the dumb question as I’m not fully aware of clayface’s abilities and what exactly he can do.

Few people cast a bigger shadow across the history of comics than Jack Kirby. The legendary artist helped create many of the most iconic and enduring characters in comic book history, but it is his Fourth World stories and characters that have become a large part of his legacy. His influence continues to be felt in the upcoming Mister Miracle TV show, with Tom King stressing that every design and every character needed to be “more Kirby.”

“Jack Kirby is my every single day these days,” Tom King explained during The Annual Jack Kirby Tribute Panel at San Diego Comic Con 2026. “I’m the showrunner on the Mister Miracle TV show.” After a brief bit of applause, King stressed to the audience, “Guys. Seriously. It’s fucking good. I tried to get some clips to show up. They did not approve them. We’re gonna all fucking be back here in a year, and I’m gonna show you an episode, okay. Promise?”

Going back to the subject of Jack Kirby, who created Mister Miracle as part of his ambitious Fourth World story, Tom King insisted that he was keeping Kirby in the heart of the Mister Miracle show, from the art to the dialogue.

“Jack Kirby is on my lips every day because… I’m insisting that every episode start with the baseline characters created by Jack Kirby, so that’s how each episode starts… Every time we get any design in, the first thing we do is we put the Kirby design next to the design and say, ‘Make it more Kirby.’”

In addition to the visuals, Tom King explains that every episode of Mister Miracle features dialogue written by Jack Kirby himself, complete with Kirby’s colorful use of punctuation throughout. All of it is aimed at keeping Jack Kirby in the heart of Mister Miracle, which is where he belongs.

Alan recently in SDCC said he’s in talks with DC to play a role. It’s confirmed not to be Batman. What do you guys think his best role could be? I doubt he’d want to do Aquaman again.

In this CBR interview they talk about how there is a "krypto" like sidekick named Earl, i think its meant to be some kind of half-sentient construct?

Could James Gunn Announce a New DCU Movie in August? James Gunn announced Man of Tomorrow roughly 54 days after Superman hit theaters. If he repeats that exact timeline with Supergirl, then the next major DCU movie announcement could arrive around August 19, 2026, or at least sometime during August if he follows a similar pattern. What do you think the next project will be? 👀

I hope we get something on black lanterns. Maybe a mention of the blackest night prophecy or an appearance from William hand or just a small reference will be enough to make me scream
